SPENCER LOOKED DOWN to the blonde beauty who laid in his arms. He couldn't even focus on his favorite show because of his girlfriend. All he could do was run his fingers through her blonde hair and think about how lucky how he was.

And boy, was he lucky.

His lips turned into a huge smile after hearing her laugh loudly at some inappropriate joke that Michael Scott said. It wasn't unknown to Spencer, he knew that he loved her. He just didn't know how to tell her.

How does one tell another that he's hopelessly in love with her? Spencer loved her laugh, her smile, her eyes, her heart. Whatever you could name about the fascinating Evelyn Kate, he loved. That was so cliché and cheesy, but he didn't care.

"You're so beautiful, pretty girl." Spencer whispered, his words barely audible.

Evelyn looked up to him, a smile ghosting her lips. She quickly leaned up, kissing his cheek.

She grinned, "I love you, you know that, right?"

Spencer froze, a smile coming to his lips and his cheeks turned pink. Slowly, all he could do was look down at her— and her precious smile returned. 

"I love you," he murmured, gently kissing her forehead. "I'm so happy that you're my girl. My pretty girl."

Evelyn giggled, her cheeks quickly turning pink as always, and leaned her head back on his shoulder. She was overwhelmed with happiness, like always when she was with him.

"How is it that I still don't have a cute pet name for you?" Evelyn asked, "I could use pretty boy, but you already call me pretty girl and that's a reference to Criminal Minds."

Spencer bit down on his bottom lip, pretending to think as he glanced up to the ceiling. Evelyn smiled once again, admiring his features as he acted that he didn't notice. With a huge a grin, he looked back down to the blonde.

"How about king?"

Evelyn laughed, knowing that he was being playful; and she knew by the glimmer in his eyes. She reached up, kissing his cheek then settling back down in her original character.

"Last time I checked, a king is a man who is in charge of a kingdom and married." She teased.

Spencer couldn't help the smirk on his lips. "Maybe one day." Slowly, he looked down, looking at her lips briefly before glancing back at her eyes. His voice was quiet as he whispered, "I want to kiss you."

"Then do it," Evelyn murmured.

He was nervous, of course, who wouldn't be? It seemed like an eternity to Evelyn before he even remotely started to lean in slowly. Just as their lips were about to meet— loud laughs sounded and the front door was slammed closed.

"Hey! No kissing!" Caleb exclaimed, pointing at the couple on the couch.

Evelyn couldn't keep in her giggles, no matter how disappointed she was, and she threw her head back. Spencer groaned softly, pulling back and resting against the couch. He glared at Caleb, upset that his moment was taken.

"Thanks for ruining the moment, man." Spencer grumbled.

Kelsey smiled, and she laughed. "Mom senses, Spence. Sorry, dude."

He sighed, leaning down to kiss Evelyn's cheek instead. Spencer glanced up, watching as Caleb and Kelsey headed off to their bedroom. He leaned down, sneaking another kiss to Evie's cheek.

"Maybe we'll have to try again," Spencer shrugged, "Since Caleb killed the mood, once again."

"He tends to do that," Evelyn agreed, getting up as Spencer did.

He immediately wrapped his arms around her in an embrace, and laying his chin on top of her head. Evelyn had no problem wrapping her own arms around his torso, loving his hugs.

Spencer stayed still for a few moments before pulling back from the hug. He smiled down at her, kissing her forehead.

"I have to go, but we will get that moment again. Definitely before I leave on tour."

Ah, short little chapter, but I'm sorta in love with it. Anyway, small announcement too.

Unfortunately, this book only has a few more chapters left, but I can tell you that it does have a happy ending. And though, I love this story, I have so many others to catch up on.
