Chapter Three

Dean's POV

When I got back to the motel, I hesitated. I looked over to the seat where I had placed the sheet of paper. I wondered what it could be. Jo was so worried. I wanted nothing more than to scoop her up in my arms and protect her from everything the world threw at her.

But I couldn't.

I couldn't protect her anymore. She was growing up and needed independence. She wasn't my little girl anymore. She was a young woman.

I picked up the folded paper and held it in my hands. Then... I opened it. It was a drawing of our family. Why hadn't Jo shown us sooner? It was beautiful. I always knew Jo was a great artist but she never showed us any of her work.

I folded the paper again, and got out of my car. When I walked into the motel, Cas was sitting at the table, and Sam and Gabe were still sleeping. The dorks.

I walked over to Cas, kissed the top of his head, and handed him the sheet of paper. "This might have been why she was so upset yesterday." I say taking a seat. Cas unfolds the paper and smiles. "Why would this make her upset? It's us!" I shrugged. "Maybe someone said something?"

Cas held up one finger. He was constantly reading her mind and I was ok with it. As long as she didn't know, she couldn't kill us. "She has met someone. A boy. And he made her feel... Happy." "Another boy!" "I don't think she takes an affection t'words him. More as a friend to turn to. She was upset this morning and he let her vent to him." I sigh in relief. What? Was our daughter a boy magnet or something? I knew our daughter was attractive, but not this attractive!

"And would it really be a bad thing if she was with Jensen?" "Yes. I don't trust that boy."

Cas cocks his head at me, then hands me a plate of... Something. I wish I could say eggs... But I honestly had, No! Fucking! Idea! "Thanks." I say excepting the plate of... Something. Cas was waiting for me to take a bite, looking at me with hopeful eyes. I sigh and take a small bite. I almost choke.

"What the Hell is this Cas? Are you trying to kill me?" "No. Why would I kill my soul mate? And it's fried tofu." I throw up in my mouth a little. "Have you even tasted tofu before?" He shakes his head no. "Oh for fucks sake Cas!" I say laughing slightly. "I'm going to make you the best breakfast ever. Breakfast in bed. So lay your ass down!" He shrugs and goes to lay on the bed.

I throw Cas's breakfast away and begin making Jo and I's famous breakfast pies. It's pie crust with cheese, eggs, sausage bits, bits of ham, and small pieces of bacon.

Once that is finally done, I take two slices over to Cas and we eat that while watching TV. Sam and Gabe finally get up and eat. "Save at least three for Jo guys." I say. The girl has a big appetite. We all ate and laid around watching TV until it was time for Jo to come home.

Jophiel's POV

After I had bought my lunch, I followed Alfie to our spot outside. Ash and Jensen were there already. I was quiet for almost the whole time. The guys were all asking when they could come over and meet my folks. I kept saying no though. Jared walked over to us with someone who looked very familiar. They sat down and the whole time I couldn't stop looking at the familiar boy.

"Hey Jo." The boy said. "B-Ben!?" I exclaimed finally recognizing him. He nods and I tackle him into a hug.

He laughs and returns the hug. "Sooooo. Do you guys know each other?" Jensen asks. "Only like... Forever!" Ben exclaims. "We've know each other since we were like three." I add getting off of Ben. He wraps an arm around my shoulder and pulls me close. I rest my legs across his, and place my head on his shoulder. "He's like my older brother. We've been through allot."

"So how's Dean, Cas, and Sam?" Ben asks me. "Dean is good, Cas is still clueless as fuck, and Sam is also good." "Good. Can I maybe stop by after school? Say hi to the gang?" The others laughed a little as they asked the same question only minutes prior and I had declined.

"Sure." "What! How come we can't come over!?" Ash asked. "Well... It's not that I don't trust you guys... And I trust Alfie the most out of all y'all..." Alfie smiles at me. "But my Dads actually approve of Ben. Since we've known him for like ever."

"Yea! That's right!" Ben said trying to act cool. "Ben your not cool." I said shooting him down and snapping him back into reality. "Your right. I'm adorable." "Hah!" I exclaim. "I'm adorable! Have you ever seen my parents!?" "Yes. I have. And you are adorable." Ben said squishing my cheeks. I pick up his hand and bite it gently. "Ow!" Ben yelps. "Wuss." I respond. The others were laughing at Ben's misfortune.

"Feisty one aren't you?" Jared asks. "You have no idea." Ben and I say at the same time. We then high five and do our stupid little handshake. It was a pointless little thing we made up when we were seven. It just stuck.

"What was that?" Alfie asks. "Just our best friend handshake of best friendiness! Duh!!!" Ben exclaims.

"So what are you even doing here? And you can probably guess why I'm here." He nods. "My mom and I moved here a few days ago." "I miss Lisa so much. How is she? And did she find a decent man besides my Daddy yet?" "Uh... Yea. They got married. That's why we moved. He lived here." I nod.

When lunch was over we all headed to our classes. Unfortunately... This class just so happened to have Jensen in it. It was biology, and he was my lab partner. Great. Celebration all round. Or as my Dad would say when there is confetti... Confetti! It's a parade!

I texted Ben throughout class though, so it wasn't all bad. Jensen kept trying to get my attention and it was getting really annoying. When biology was finally over, I rushed to my next class. Jensen was in almost all my classes, but this next one had Alfie in it. I love Alfie. He is adorable. When I walked in, I saw both Ben and Alfie.

Ben was trying to teach Alfie our little handshake. "There she is." Ben said when I sat down. I turned around in my seat and we did our handshake with Alfie. It was one of those handshakes that could be done with multiple people. Alfie had trouble keeping up... But it was his first time and I understood.

"Hey Alfie? You doing anything after school?" He shakes his head no. "Wanna come over with Ben and we can all do 'homework' together? He smiles wider and nods.

Jensen walks through the door and takes his seat next to me. Damn this boy was everywhere.

Ben was sitting behind me. I faced the front and reached my arms backwards until I found his face. I smacked my hands against his cheeks lightly, and he just laughed.

"Doesn't that bother you?" Jensen asks Ben. "You get used to it. Especially when you grew up with this one." He says grabbing my hands and placing them on my head. "Bitch." I say. "Jerk." He responds. We got that from Dean and Sam. Since I'm most like Dean, I got Bitch and he was most like Sam, so he got Jerk.

I take my hands back and I start playing with my curls. "Glad your actually wearing your glasses and not contacts. They look good on you." Ben says. "Quit flirting." I say. "I'm not. And you of all people should know that." He says smiling. "I know." I respond.

Once class was over, we headed to our final class of the day. Comm. Our whole 'friend group' was in it. Except Ben. I told him to meet me and Alfie out by the Impala. He knew the car well enough.

Finally. FINALLY! When class was over, I tried getting out of there with Alfie as fast as I could. But... It didn't work out that well. Jensen stopped me. "So since we were paired up for a group project, when should we get together? Should I come over after school today?" "Jensen. No. Besides. I'm hanging out with Ben and Alfie today. We can do our project during study hall. And besides. My parents don't want me hanging out with you."

"Do you always do everything your parents tell you to do?" "Yea. That's how you don't get killed in the family business! But most of the time it's me telling them what to do." "Family doesn't even matter. It's just blood relation." "Family don't end in blood!" I exclaim, then slap him in the face and walk away with Alfie, tears brimming my eyes.

We get to the car, Ben already inside talking to Dean, and Cas who sat in the front.

I sit in the middle of the boys in the back. "Hi Daddy, Dad." I say, my voice a little shaky. Cas reaches behind him to hold my hand. He always knew when I was upset.

"So Jo. Who's your friend?" Dean asked a little angry, I could tell. He didn't want me bringing any more boys home. Not after Jensen.

"I'm Samandriel. But you can call me Alfie. And don't worry. I only like Jo as a friend. Besides. I'm gay so..." I could see the anger flush out of Dean as he drove. "So what are you kids going to do?"

"We were going to work on homework." Ben says. "I'm sure you are." Dean says with a smirk. "Daddy." I say. "So what did you kids do today?" Cas asks. "I tripped up the stairs." Alfie says. "I ate a cheeseburger at lunch!" Ben states proudly. "Nice!" Dean says reaching a fist back to him and they fist bump.

"What about you Jophiel?" Cas asks me. "I slapped Jensen in the face." "What!" Cas asks surprised. "Atta girl!" Dean exclaims proudly. "He said that family didn't matter and it was just blood relation. So I said family doesn't end in blood and I slapped him. And we got paired up for a project and he kept begging to come over. I wouldn't let him though." I say, still holding my Dad's hand. He squeezes my hand tighter.

"Good job handling that yourself Jo." Dean says proudly. "Why is this a good thing?" Alfie whispers to me. "I can't really have any guys in my life besides friends and family. We think that Jensen has taken a liking to me... And I can't have distractions when it comes to the family business." I whisper back.

He nods in understanding.

When we get to the motel, Ben, Alfie, and I head straight for the kitchen. Once we get a snack, we start our homework. We actually do it. It was hard since I had never had any real schooling... Uncle Sammy would home school me since he was so smart. But we get it done.

"You guys wanna stay for dinner?" I ask tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. "You know I will." Ben says. "If it's ok with your parents." Alfie says. "Oh you boys can stay. You seem like nice kids." Cas says with a smile. Dean was too busy tapping his fingers on the table to care. I think he was listening to classic rock, on my phone, with my headphones.

Alfie smiles at me and then texts someone on his phone. "Jo. There is some breakfast pies for you in the fridge if you want some later on." Uncle Gabe says. "Yea, ok." I say not really paying attention. I was scrolling though Facebook on my laptop.

A few minutes later, dinner was ready. And thankfully, Cas had help making it. He wasn't terrible... But he wasn't great. Dean helped make it and he was really good at making food.

My friends and I were still laying on the ground when Dean handed us all a plate of potato wedges with cheese dip. "Thanks Daddy. Dad. You too." I said, and we all started eating.

"This is really good Mr. and Mr. Winchester." Alfie says. "Please call us Cas and Dean." Cas says trying to be friendly. "Thanks guys." Ben says taking another bite.

A while later, we started doing random shit. We had markers out and we started drawing on each other. I ended up drawing different sigils up and down my arms just for practice. "Jo? What are you doing?" Dean asks amused. "I don't even know anymore." I say letting out a sigh.

Alfie's phone buzzed and he picked it up and looked at the screen. "I have to go. Thank you so much for letting me stay, and thank you for the wonderful dinner." He says smiling. "I have to get going as well. Thanks for everything guys!" Ben says cleaning his things up and shoving them in his backpack.

"Anytime guys." Dean says.

When they left, it was just me, Cas, and Dean. Sam and Gabe left to go on a dinner date a while ago. I walk over to the fridge and pull out some of the promised breakfast pie. I put one on a plate and throw (Not really) it in the microwave. When it was heated, I grab three forks and go to sit in between my parents on the bed.

We cuddle and eat while watching TV. "Well your friends seem nice. And it was really nice seeing Ben again." Dean says. "I really like that Alfie kid." Cas says. "Yea. I met him on the first day. He was really nice off the bat. And he likes my eyes!" Dean laughs. "All about the eyes Cherry Pie. All about the eyes." He says still laughing.

When we finished eating, we set the plate aside and I scrolled through something called Pinterest. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to use... But it seems really straight-forward.

I thought about the different things I could search for, then thought about the books Chuck Shurley wrote about my parents and Uncles. I searched Supernatural.

As I scrolled, I found some pretty accurate pictures. "Hey Dad. It's you." I said to Cas. I showed him a picture someone drew. It was a cartoon version... But you could still tell it was him. "How did I get in there?" Cas asked me.

"You didn't. Someone drew this." He cocks his head and takes my phone. He continued to stare and I knew from experience I wouldn't be getting it back for a while. I picked up a sheet of paper, my laptop, and a few pencils. I used the back of my laptop for a hard surface to draw on.

(Picture of drawing at top)

Halfway into the drawing, Cas fell asleep. But Dean stayed awake watching both the TV, and me drawing. "Who's that handsome devil?" Dean asked. I looked at him unamused. "Really Daddy?" I say. He just stares at me and shrugs. I stare at him for a bit longer before I reach a finger up to his face and boop his nose. "Boop!" I exclaim. "God damnit Jo!" He says laughing and smiling like an idiot.

I just shrug and continue to work on drawing for a while longer before falling asleep whilst sketching.

Dean's POV

Jo had fallen asleep while drawing. I think it was me she was drawing. Cause it was one handsome drawing. I carefully removed the pencil in her hands, and placed the drawing and laptop over on the end table. I laid down next to her, take her glasses and place them on the end table, and fall asleep.

Castiel's POV

I woke up a while later. I looked over at Jo who was still wearing her clothes from before. She looked really comfortable where she was and I didn't want to disturb her. I got out of bed and moved her to the edge of the bed.

I knew tomorrow would be a lazy day for all of us, so I walked over to my bag, and pulled out one of my t-shirts. It would be really big on her, but she often wore our clothing.

I made my way back over to my daughter, and took off her sweatshirt. Now this isn't weird cause... Again... She is my daughter. And I've changed her clothes when she was younger, so this was nothing new. I just had to make sure I didn't wake her up.

I tossed the sweatshirt aside, then her shirt. I slid my over sized shirt over her small figure, and put her arms through the arm holes. I kept her jeans on cause that would only wake her up. I picked her up bridal style, and placed her in the middle of the bed, and laid down with my husband and daughter.

In the morning when I woke up... Jo's arms were wrapped around my neck, with her face buried in my chest. I moved my hands to her back, and rubbed small circles into it. Dean was already up making breakfast. "Shall I wake her up?" I whispered to Dean. He shook his head no. "No. Let her sleep." I nod and look over to the other bed. Sam and Gabe had come back sometime last night, but I didn't hear them.

"She is really cuddly this morning." Dean said walking over and kissing me on the lips. "It's nice. You would never think she was ever a hunter." I say and Dean nods. He brushes hair out of her face and walks back into the kitchen.

I rub her back for a while until she shifts. She rubs her face in my chest, then looks up at me. "Hi." She whispers. "Hello Jophiel." I say cupping her cheek with my hands. She yawns, and I rub my thumb over her cheek.

"I don't wanna go to school." "You don't have to. It's Saturday." "Yay." She says burying her face deeper into my chest, and doing the most pathetic jazz hands I have ever seen.

"Can we go on a hunt today?" Jo asks anyone paying attention to her. "Sorry Jo. Nothing has come up. But if you wanna take a look around town. That would be great." Dean says from the kitchen. Which was only like... Five feet away. It was the first motel we came across. Don't judge us. Beggars can't be choosers.

She nods into my chest and I hug her tighter. I stroke her hair until Dean walks over with a few plates. "Come on Jo. Time to eat." Dean says. She lifts her head slightly from it's current position, then sits up finally.

Dean hands Jo and I each a plate, then sits down himself. "So when does this fight club of yours start?" Dean ask Jo. "Uh. I don't know. Maybe I didn't make the 'team'. Coach said he would let me know in a few days."

"Is it because you almost killed him? Or are they just being sexist?" I ask. Jo just shrugs and continues to eat.

When she was done, she got out of her current position, and put her plate in the sink. "I'm going to get dressed and have a look around town." She said. I nod and she grabs some clothes, and walks to the bathroom.

"Today is the day we tell her. Right?" I say to Dean. He just nods.

Jophiel's POV

I get dressed into a red muscle tee that says, 'I <3 Exorcising', black skinny jeans, black Vans, black Beats headphones, silver bracelets, and I fix my hair into a braid down the back. I put on a black beanie, and my glasses. "Maybe before she leaves we should tell her." I hear my Dad's voice say.

"Tell me what?" I say as I step out of the bathroom. My parents look at each other worried. I start gathering the things I will need. I empty out my backpack and start filling it with my weapons.

"Jophiel. You know that we love you more than anything right?" Cas says. I turn around, angel blade loosely hanging from my hand. "Where is this going?" I ask.

They just look to each other again. I pack the rest of my things and sling my backpack over my shoulders. I grab my phone, putting it in my back pocket. I was about to walk out of the door, but Dean stopped me. "You weren't really adopted!" He blurts.

I slowly turn to him. "What? That isn't possible." I say. Cas takes my hand, pulling me t'words him. "Jophiel. We found a spell. It combined Dean and I's DNA. And it created you. That is why your eyes are like that." "So I'm some sort of DNA mishap!?" I exclaim.

"Oh no sweetheart! We wanted you. You were planned. And even if you weren't... We would still love you to pieces." Dean says. This calmed me down a little.

"I assume... You are angry with us?" Cas asks. "N-No. Just a little shaken up." I pull away from Cas and walk to the door. "I just. I just need some air." I then walk out of the motel.

I grip the straps of my backpack tightly, then walk. No where in particular... Just walk. I listen to music while walking since I have my headphones. Panic! At The Disco's Too Weird To Live Too Rare To Die, album.

After walking for a good hour or so, I find myself at a crime scene. I walk up to the police officer. "What's going on here?" I ask. "Stay back kid. This doesn't concern you." He says rather rudely. I stare at him wide eyed.

"Wow. I don't think you should be calling the Mayor's daughter, some kid!" The police man stares at me a little, then opens his mouth to say something. I love it when I trick people. "I am sorry ma'am. I didn't recognize you for a minute there. So what happened here is a mysterious death. No one knows how, they seemed to just have, spontaneously combusted!" I nod and walk away.

I knew what I was dealing with. It was a Ephraim. A 'healing' angel that could hear people's despair. Luckily all I needed was an angel blade, and a very sad person. I started walking t'words the park that I was at a few days ago.

It was a bit crowded, but there was no one by the tree. I climbed up it and texted Uncle Sammy.

Hey. Found a case. Thinking it's a Ephraim. More spontaneous combustion. Yay. *She says sarcastically* Text me when you have the chance. And please don't tell Dean and Cas about anything. I want to do this myself. I have my stuff. If I'm not back for dinner, then you can come looking for me.

-J.W.

I pulled out some lore books and started reading about Ephraims. There wasn't much, but just enough. "Can I come up?" I hear a voice from down below say. I put my book away and look down. Jensen. Great.

"Uh. I don't know." Jensen rolls his eyes and climbs up anyways. He takes a seat next to me. "And don't even think of doing anything. I am, armed." He holds his hands up in defeat. "Ok. Fine." I take my headphones off and put them into my backpack. "What's with the backpack?" "Free country." I say.

"Fair enough." "I am working a job right now. Family business and whatnot..." I say trailing off slightly. "Which would be?" "Uh. Right now? Tracking. Then part two comes much much later." I say. "What are you tracking?" He asks.

"My decency. So I will have enough to resist the urge to punch you for asking too many questions." "Sorry." He says looking back down at his hands. I hear crying in the distance and all my attention is on them. I take my backpack off. "Hold this." I say handing it to him and turning upside down to see the source of the crying. I hear a slight unzipping noise coming from Jensen. "Don't even thing about it." I say kicking his hand hard, but not too hard.

"Ow!" He yelps. "Shut up." I say in a hushed tone. I flip right side up again and see Jensen unzipping my backpack again. I snatch it away from him just in time though. "Awe!" He exclaims. "Do you want to get shanked?" He shakes his head. "Then I suggest you not. I will... Shank you. I will shank you with a bagel. With cream cheese and raisins." (Inside joke) I say glaring at him. "........What!?" He asks confused. "Nothing." I zip up my backpack and put it on my back again. I hop down from the tree, followed by Jensen. "Leave me alone. I'm working." "I want to see what you do." "Trust me. You don't." I say following the girl that was crying. I see her and run after her. I could hear footsteps behind me, but I couldn't focus on that. I was working.

When I catch up to the girl, she was still crying. "Excuse me Miss? Why are you crying?" She wipes her nose on the back of her hand. I pull out some tissues from my backpack and hand them to her.

"Thank you." She says sniffling." "Is everything alright?" I ask. She shakes her head. "I just can't do it anymore. Between relationships, work, and just life and general... I just want it all to end! My boyfriend has been cheating on me for the last few months and I only found out now. I just got fired from my job as well, and I just can't do this anymore!" She says tears streaming down her face.

I rub her arm slightly. "Hey. I'm here for you. And as for guys... They are Asshats. Their heads are so far up their Asses, they can wear them as hats. And I happen to know of a great place who is hiring." She sniffles again. "Really?" I nod.

She gives me a small hug. "Thank you! I'm Meg. By the way." She adds. "Jo." I say. I feel an extra hand on my back and I turn around to see Jensen. "Is this your boyfriend?" Meg whispers to me. I choke on air.

"Yes." Jensen says. I fall on my knees, gasping for air. "He's cute." Meg whispers to me.

When I stop choking, I get off the ground, and glare at Jensen. "You son of a bitch! Why are you following me!? And I am NOT your girlfriend!" I yell, getting a few strange looks from others.

"Sorry. I didn't know..." Meg says. "It's fine. He's just a dick." I say, still glaring at Jensen. I reach into my back pocket, and pull out a pen, and a slip of paper. I write down the address to the diner, and hand it to Meg. "I have to get back to work now. But here is the address to the diner. I hope you get back on your feet soon." She nods and runs off. Leaving me with Jensen again.

The reason I didn't take Meg as bait, was because... Well... I felt genuinely bad for her.

I walked away from Jensen, and around the park some more. I could tell he was still following me though. I walked in the direction of the tree again. That was my quiet spot. And that was all I needed right now. Time to think about what my parents had said to me.

But I stopped. Stopped right where I was. My head twitched. My hands were shaking and there was lump in the back of my throat. I fall to me knees and I look around the park for help. I saw Jensen running in the other direction. That son of a bitch!

I curl up into the fetal position underneath the tree. I hear shouting. "Hey! Are you ok!? Someone help!" Bless this mother fucker. Because I feel myself being shaken. I couldn't do anything. My vision was going dark. Spots were clouding my vision.

A small gasp could be heard from the person who was helping me. They lift me up and throw my backpack on their back. I feel myself go limp as we run.

Castiel's POV

Dean and I were so worried. I didn't know what to do but pace the floor while Dean sat in a chair and stared at the door, waiting for her to come back.

I already had Sam and Gabe out of the house so we could be alone.

The door bursts open and we see someone I thought was dead. "Benny!?" Dean exclaims. He nods. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "Thought you might want your daughter back." "What!" We yell together. Benny walks through the door with Jo in his arms, and her backpack on his back.

"What happened?" Dean asks Benny. "I don't know. I was at the park, and I saw her collapse. I didn't know it was her until I went to go help." "Thanks. Was there anyone else there with her?"

"Now that you mention it... There was a boy. He was following her around the whole time she was there. She yelled at him a few times, but that was it." "Jensen." Dean says under his breath. I look over to Jophiel. She was tossing and turning in the bed, making small whimpering noises. "Dean!" Dean looks over to me, then to Jophiel. I turn to him and Benny. "It's happening. And it's happening now."
