I'm trying to update a little more frequently because my school is starting in two weeks and I want to try get this shit story built up before I go back and get busy with work and with everything else.

I'd like to say thanks to @QueenChaos_5 and @Fulcrum12 for voting and reading my story. You guys (or gals or non-binary pals) have really helped me keep this going even though there's only 6 chapters out. But thank you.

I'm a silly goose.

Also, since Tal is a trandoshan, and they make their 's's longer, and that's kind of a hassle to write every. Single. Time. I am just going to let you use your damn imagination because we can all live without it.

enjoy.

Ameir's POV:

I walked out of the big room and towards the cockpit. My footsteps echoed around the metal hall and I found the sounds soothing. The closet that I had my bounties in wasn't as loud as before, but I heard the occasional banging on the door or their growls and curses. Hearing that made me smile.

After a little walking I reached the cockpit. My new friend Tal sat in the co-pilot chair with his feet on the control panel and his elbows on the armrests. His hands were still in the binders and they were laying quite awkwardly over his broad chest. I sat down next to him in the pilot chair and he glanced over at me. "So who did why did we pick up a Jedi and four clones?" Tal asked.

"Well the Jedi is my brother, and the clones are his men," I filled him in.

"Wait, so he only has four men under his command? That doesn't really make sense." Tal looked slightly confused as he sat up and took his feet off of the panel in front of us, resting his elbows on his legs now.

I pressed a few buttons, flipped a few switches, and looked over to Tal. "Uh, no. Those are just a few of his men. Ever heard of the 501st legion? 'Cause he's in charge of them."

Tal's eyes widened and he nodded his head. "A bit. You hear about them at the Coruscanti bars but especially 79s."

I raised my eyebrows and nodded. "The clone bar? Nice. Oh hey, flip that switch right behind you." I pointed to the one that I needed him to get.

Tal nodded and reached over to get it but couldn't exactly stretch his arms far enough. The binders were restricting his hands so as he tried to reach over the chair swiveled and he fell on his side with a thump. I bit my lip to keep a laugh from slipping out and Tal rolled his eyes. He reached up from his spot on the floor and pushed the switch up.

"That kriffing hurt." Tal groaned as he struggled to sit up. I let the laugh I was holding in out and glanced over to him, as he was now in his chair again. "Can you take the binders off now?"

I stopped laughing and reached in my shirt pocket for the key to the cuffs. Reaching over, I unlocked them and they fell to into Tal's lap. Tal rubbed his wrists as the blood rushed back into his fingers. "Are you happy now?" I asked him.

"Yeah whatever." Tal rolled his eyes again and flexed his fingers. "So what's the plan?"

I thought about that for a moment. "Well we get off this Maker-forsaken planet and get back to Coruscant, the person who hired me to get them is stationed there temporarily, so if we get there on time, they should still be there."

Tal nodded. "And if you don't make it back on time?" The ship slowly rose up higher and higher through the dry atmosphere.

"Well then I'll be in big trouble and won't get my money, and the two dicks in that are in the closet back there will be free," I summarized for him.

"Why not just kill them?" Tal asked, sounding confused.

"Uh, because if you want to keep a clean slate for when you get in big trouble, you gotta make sure that you don't kill anyone, otherwise the chances of you getting out of said trouble, are very, very  low."

"I feel like you speak from experience."

"Well, I know a thing or two, because I've seen a thing or two," I said. "I think that's how it goes."

"Who the hell has ever said that?"

"Me. That's who."

Tal snorted and I gave a small smile.

We sat in comfortable silence as the Falcon entered hyperspace and I pressed two buttons as the thrusters simmered down a little.

"Do you have a family?" Tal asked suddenly. My shoulders stiffened and I took a deep breath. "Never mind, I'm sorry. That came out really bad. Just forget that I asked-"

"You mean other than my brother, right?" I interrupted him. Tal looked very confused as to why I was answering his intrusive question, but he nodded hesitantly and fidgeted with something on his wrist.

"I did, I had a mom, but she was killed. Anakin and I almost got to her in time but when we got there it was too late." I said sullenly.

Tal stopped moving and looked up at me with a sympathetic look. I hated it but deep down I knew that he was trying to understand.

"My mother is dead as well," he said, his voice barely hiding the emotion in his voice. "What about your father?"

"Never knew him," I shrugged.

"Sorry about that," Tal tried.

"Well, if he really loved my mom or brother or even me, then he would've stayed," I stood up and turned towards the door. "Buuut he didn't, and we got by just fine, so he can kiss my ass for all I care.

"Come on. You're gonna come meet my brother," I said and Tal stood up. We walked out of the cockpit and down the hall to the larger room. I heard the sounds of cheering and loud booing coming from inside.

"GO CAPTIAN!" I heard Fives, no, Echo yell.

"GO GENERAL!" I heard another voice, similar to Echo's, but somehow different, shout back.

"KIX I'M GOING TO PUT YOU ON 'FRESHER DUTY FOR A MONTH IF I LOSE TO SKYWALKER!" the Captain yelled.

"I'M A MEDIC CAPTAIN I OUTRANK YOU!" Kix screamed back.

"YOU'RE ALL GETTING 'FRESHER DUTY FOR TWO MONTHS IF I WIN!" I heard my brother imput from his side of the Dejarik board. As I leaned against the frame of the door I watched as they all huddled next to each other in the small booth, yelling and laughing the way that I used to with the other children in the market-place on Tatooine. I smiled at the memory.

"Are they always like this?" Tal asked, breaking me from my thoughts.

"I haven't seen my brother in over a year so I have no kriffing clue." I said, honestly not really knowing. Anakin was usually playful but I guess he was just in a good mood. He always did  like Dejarik.

"Having fun boys?" I interrupted the playful game. They all turned and looked at me, just now realizing that I had seen the whole ordeal. "This is Tal." I said, pointing to said Tal.

"Uh, hi." Tal waved awkwardly.

Anakin got up out of the booth and walked over. "How'd you two meet?"

"She kidnapped me and threatened me," Tal said like it was the most casual thing in the world.

"Now when you say it like that it sounds a whole lot worse than it is," I put in, crossing my arms and raising my eyebrows.

"How else would you say it then?" It was Anakin's turn to cross his arms. I gave him a look.

"I don't know, just not like that," I shrugged my shoulders and walked over to the corner of the room and open the lid to one of the crates that were place there. Inside there were grenades lined up in rows. I carefully closed the lid and moved to the next box over. This crate was longer and about as high as my knee. In this one there were rifles, carefully nestled into the rough fabric that lined the bottom and sides. I put the lid back down and plopped down on it. When I looked back all of the men were looking at me.

I jumped when I heard a voice right next to me and saw Anakin standing there. "What's this?" he asked, pointing to the sealed crate of grenades.

"Do you always sneak up on people?" I demanded, glaring at him as my heart rate slowed back down.

"Do you always keep explosives out in the open?" Anakin countered.

"When I finish making a batch and my brother calls and needs me to come pick him up because he crashed his transport in the middle of a kriffing desert and I don't have time to move 'em, yeah. Yeah I do." I replied. Anakin gave me a, you're a bitch, look, and I sent him back a, I know, what're you gonna do about it? look.

"Wait, you make your own explosives?" Fives asked. Echo elbowed him in the side and muttered a quick "Dude don't be rude" as Fives rubbed his injured ribs. Kix looked at the scene before him and chuckled into his fist.

Anakin looked at the clones with a smile when I glanced back over. Wait, not the clones, but a clone. A certain medic clone was being stared at by my idiot brother. I grinned once I saw Kix make eye contact with my brother and both of them look away, blushing furiously. I made eye contact with the Captain and when he and I both understood what had just happened,we held back creeping laughter.

Tal just looked confused.

But that wasn't really anything new.

Clearing my throat, I shifted my body to face a certain ARC trooper. "Uh, yes Fives. I do make my own explosives. Why do you ask?"

"Well wouldn't it be harder to do that instead of just buying them?" he asked.

"Not if you know what you're doing. It's actually a lot cheaper to get the supplies separately and assemble them to your liking instead." I summed up, shrugging my shoulders slightly. "And I'm not really all about quantity. Just quality."

"Why's that?" It was Rex's turn to ask a question.

I raised my eyebrows as my gaze shifted to the Captain. "Say you're surrounded by droids in the middle of a siege. Your blaster's jammed and you're down to your last two grenades, and you throw one, but it doesn't hit it's target and you take out maybe three droids. You have one more and there are twenty droids coming at you from the same direction. You throw your last one, and it hits the target but it never blows, it's a dud. The droids end up cornering you and shoot you. You end up dead, and it's because you trusted grenade that was just made in a big batch with shitty materials." I shrugged again.

"So you have trust issues?" Tal asked.

"Basically." I nodded, resting my elbows on my thighs.

"I feel like you spend a whole lot of time thinking about this sort of thing," Kix said. I let out a short laugh.

"Well, I know a thing or two, because I've seen a thing or two," I grinned.

Tal groaned. "That's the second time you've said that today."

"I also have a fuck-ton of time on my hands to think about shit like that." I said, completely ignoring him and pursing my lips.

Fives gave a snort. I looked over to him and placed a hand on my chest, feigning a hurt look. "How dare you mock my loneliness."

"How dare you assume that I did not mock my own loneliness along with yours." Fives stated.

I grinned and stood up, walking over to him and placing my fist out towards his. He bumped his against mine and we looked at each other for a moment before nodding in sync.

From the corner of my eye I saw Anakin shake his head and I looked over to him with a smile. "Tal, you hang out with these guys for a little. I've got to catch up with my brother."

Hope you enjoyed! I don't know when I'll be updating again yet, but it will hopefully be soon. My grandma passed away a few days ago to cancer that had been spreading through her body for the past three months, but it finally reached her brain and it took her pretty fast after that. Her funeral is tomorrow and my mom is pretty wrecked. I understand, but if you could just think of her or something, I don't know. I just found out that she passed two days ago, and I'm kind of scared to go the funeral. It's hard for me to see other people sad and upset, but I'm pretty good at hiding my emotions from people, especially my family.

Stay safe
