Okay so I just watched the movie Moses: Prince of Egypt and I was a bit skeptical, like "eh this is one of those cheesy animated bible stories for little kids" but I ACTUALLY ENDED UP CRYING WHEN RAMESES'S SON DIED. Like that was so much more emotional than I thought it would be.
As a child I was always like, "Woop that's right Angel of Death go kill those nasty Egyptians," but I guess I never really thought about the fact that Moses and Rameses were "brothers". I mean, I knew it was a thing but I didn't think of
a) the awful terrible betrayal Rameses probably felt
B) Moses' sadness (at least a little bit) at ruining his brother's perfect life
c) God killed a bunch of Egyptian kids like Pharaoh killed a bunch of Hebrews and basically A LOT OF SMALL HUMANS ACTUALLY DIED EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE COMPLETELY INNOCENT

I'm sorry I just have a lot of emotions rn
