Are there ever just little things in fandoms that don't matter that much but just give you so many EMOTIONS?

Like in LotR when you realize that at the end there are no more elves left in Middle Earth, and that no elves are ever coming back?

Or in Doctor Who when 11 is "dying" from River's poison lipstick and he asks for the TARDIS interface and when it goes to the form of Rose he squeezes his eyes shut and yells something about guilt?

Or in Sherlock when you realize how much violin there is in the soundtrack and how (especially in season 3) the violin is louder the sadder the situation is?

Or in Narnia when everyone is dead and happy with Aslan except Susan because she forgot about Narnia and called it a silly story?

Like why are these fictional things so painful???
