The Marauders were full of surprises. Guinevere had said to herself just days ago. But this she could have never expected. She never in her lifetime thought she would wake up in the hospital wing with Sirius Black sleeping in a chair by her bedside, Lily on the other, James and Peter on the floor and Remus at laying at the foot of her bed. The blonde was startled to find herself in company, she figured if anyone was to stay, it would be Lily.

"Oh you're awake" Remus rubbed his eyes, sitting up at the end of the bed.

"Shh" Guinevere put her finger up to her lips and motioned to their sleeping friends.

"Oh right" Remus gave a glance at Sirius and tried holding back a smile as he noticed his spot next to her,"Getting along at last?"

"Never" Gwen shook her head.

"He hasn't left you know" Remus raised an eyebrow.

"Must be getting soft" The blonde mumbled and looked over at the sleeping boy.

Remus decided not to respond but a small crept on his lips as Guinevere laid back down.

Guinevere decided to rest more, closing her eyes and falling back asleep. She didn't get much rest when she awoken again by the sound of a book dropping.

"Merlin you guys I'm sleeping" She groggily rubbed her eyes.

"Hate to disappoint, but I'm afraid it's just one guy" Sirius remarked causing Guinevere to sit up.

"Where is everyone?" She glanced around noticing her friends were now gone.

"Dinner."

"And you didn't join them?" Guinevere raised an eyebrow.

"Nope" Sirius popped the p and glanced back at his text book.

"Whys that?" The girl crossed her arms.

"Didn't want to"

"Why?"

"Because"

"Well why?"

"Is it so unusual that someone actually wanted to look after you?" Sirius finally said with annoyance shutting his book completely.

Guinevere didn't think about that, but the answer was yes. Yes, it was incredibly surprising to her that anyone other than Lily and perhaps Remus came to visit. She didn't have that many close friends, and her family never really cared much. In all honesty the girl expected to wake up alone.

"I'm going for a walk" She said abruptly.

"You're hypothermic" Sirius shook his head.

"I'm surly better by now"

"And if you aren't? What happens then?" Sirius questioned.

"I'll figured it out." She shrugged.

"If you're so set on going, then I'm going with you" He stated.

Guinevere groaned as Sirius stood up to follow her,"You wanted a walk."

The two walked out of the hospital wing in silence and made their way down the corridor. Guinevere insisted on walking in front of Sirius and Sirius obliged. Normally the two would be bickering, but instead both teens kept to themselves and wandered.

"How's the weather up there?" Sirius called.

"Better without you" Guinevere responded.

"Oh you don't mean that blondie"

"Oh but I do"

The blonde went to turn and make a face at him, but he had quickly caught up.

"Pretty harsh, considering I saved your life."

"If you didn't splash me, I wouldn't have gotten hypothermia." She pointed out.

"You splashed me first" He crossed his arms.

"And you kissed me first. Are we really going to play the blame game?"

"Don't act like you didn't want it." Sirius gave a smug smile.

"I didn't want it at the time." Guinevere turned.

"And what about now?"

"I wouldn't be opposed." She said simply.

"Good" Sirius's lips brushed hers.

"But then again, I'm hypothermic." She pushes him away, leaving her finger lingering on his chest.

"Oh that's mean." Sirius groaned.

"Plus we're out in the open, planning to get caught are we?" Guinevere teased.

"Damn" He looked around the corridor.

"You have 30 seconds to find a broom closet-" Guinevere began.

"Best not waste time then!" Sirius grabbed her hand and sprinted down the corridor, pulling Guinevere behind him.

The rest of the group was finishing dinner. Lily ended up sitting with Remus, Peter and James, much to their surprise. The truth was, she was starting to tolerate them.

"Are you guys sure it was a good idea leaving Guinevere with Sirius?" Lily paused.

"Probably not" James said in between chews.

Lily glared, but knew he was probably right.

"Should we check on them?" Peter asked.

"Yeah I'm thinking we should," Lily stood up and the boys followed.
