A Sudden Spiritual Visit
Later, Nora and Kiba were heading to the bus station to go to Metro City. However, she was completely silent during the walk and Kiba was worried.
"Is everything okay?" Kiba asked, concerned for his girlfriend's mental health. "You haven't said a word since you got off the phone with Jake."
"Huh? Oh, y-yeah I'm fine." Nora lied. "Just. . .tired is all."
Kiba sighed and shook his head since he knew that was a lie. "Babe, you know you can't shut me out that easy."
"I know, I just don't want to talk about it right now." Nora explained. "Let's just go to Metro City and stay with Megamind for a couple of days."
"Arcadia's a little too homie for you. . . isn't it?" Kiba asked before Nora suddenly broke down in tears and leaned against the blonde haired boy for comfort. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to. . ."
"No, you're right I'm not okay." Nora said honestly. "I need to talk about it."
"Okay then, go ahead." Kiba smiled. "I'm listening.
Nora then went on to explain the conversation she had with Jake on the phone and about the dream she had the night prior. "So, as you can see, I'm extremely confused about the dream and I'm worried for Jake."
"I don't blame you, that all seems scary." Kiba said sympatheticly. "But I'm sure Jake will make the right choice as for the dream. . .I can't say I know what that means."
"Man, I wish Douxie was here." Nora sighed as she whipped her tears away. "He'd know what to do. . .uh no offense."
"None taken, besides, you're right about that." Kiba admitted. "He seemed like he always knew what to do."
"You'd be surprised." Nora said with a chuckle, when suddenly she felt a strange yet familiar feeling. "Wait, do you feel that?"
"Feel what?" Kiba asked, as Nora just looked around the station. That's when she spotted a strange blue light, brightening the shadows around it. "Nora?"
"Just hang tight for a moment." Nora said as she got up and walked towards the light. "I'll be right back I just have to see something."
Kiba tried to go after her but something in his mind told him to let her go as he watched the black and silver haired girl wonder off.
Soon, Nora found herself in an alley way and when she arrived there she couldn't believe her eyes. "What in the name of Lucifer?!"
The figure stepped out of the shadows and revealed itself to be none other than Douxie. "Hey, Light-bulb." He said with a warm smile. "Been a long time, eh?"
That's when Nora ran up to her brother and embraced him as she couldn't help but let more tears fall. "You. . .you jerk! How could you leave me?!"
"Look, I'm sorry I know it was sudden but. . ." Douxie started to say before he was interrupted.
"I could've helped you defeat the order! You're friends could've help you!" Nora said, her faces drenched in tears. "You didn't have to do any of that alone!"
"I couldn't risk my friends lives. Look, that doesn't matter right now." Douxie explained as also started to tear up a bit. "What matters is that I'm here now, with you. But I'm afraid I can't stay long."
"What do you mean?" Nora asked, breaking the embrace and whipping her tears.
"I've come to you because I need your help." Douxie explained. "You see, I've been given a job as the guardian angel for 4 lost souls."
"Wow, a guardian Angel?! That's so cool!" Nora exclaimed. "Congratulats, Doux."
"Thanks, but the problem with that is. . .I don't think I can help them alone." Douxie said honestly while rubbing the back of his neck. "They're lost because of some unfinished business in the living world."
"Wait, were those strange shadows in my dream the lost souls?" Nora asked. "And the angel that was also in my dream. . .was that. . .?"
"Me? Yes, it was. I did my best to show you the lost souls but they wanted to send a message instead." Douxie explained. "But I'm here now to bring you to the spirit realm so you can meet them."
"I. . .I don't know about this." Nora said hesitantly. "I was going to go to Metro City to see Megamind, but. . ."
"You have to stay in Arcadia if you're going to do this." Douxie interrupted. "I died here, so this is the only way I can bring you to Hell and back."
"Or I could just have Charlie open a portal for me." Nora said as a matter of factly.
"No, you don't understand, the realm of the lost is in Hell, yes, but a different part of it." Douxie said. "Nobody, not even Charlie, knows where this realm of the lost is. Only I do."
"Okay, I'll stay here." Nora sighed. "And I guess I'll help the lost souls. But just so I can spend time with you again."
"Fair enough." Douxie said with a nod. "Now meet me at my death location at 3 am."
"3 am?! Seriously?" Nora asked in disbelief.
"Do you want to help or not?"
"Okay, 3 am it is."
"That's what I thought." Douxie said as he handed his sister a jewel of some kind. "This is an Asmodeus crystal, from the lust ring. It'll help you travel to and from Hell easily."
"I thought you said the souls are in a secret part of Hell." Nora said questionably.
"Yes, but I worked with Ozzie to integrate it with some of my magic. I have got one too." Douxie said, holding up his wrist. "That way, it'll send you to the realm of the lost. But only at 3 am, any other time and you'll be anywhere else in Hell."
"Okay, thanks Doux." Nora said before giving the black and indigo haired boy one last hug. "I've missed you so much, it's really great to see you again."
"It's great to see you too, Light-bulb." Douxie smiled, tears in his eyes, before breaking the embrace and rubbing the crystal to make a portal appear. "See you later, sis."
"Yeah, see you later. . .bro." Nora smiled with tears in her eyes as she watched her big brother go through the portal and left her alone once more.
However, this time she knew that she would see him again. And she knew the challenges that laid ahead of her but if it met spending time with her deceased brother, she's willing to take them all on.
