To the fandom that made me smile, laugh, cry, and hyperventilate (all at the same time, sometimes xD)

To the fandom that got me to meet so many wonderful friends, including my best friend

To the fandom that's always been there for me, no matter how close I was at the point of drifting away or actually leaving

To the fandom that gave me so much feels and angst and omgIjustcant moments

To the fandom that helped me meet my one true love, Matthew Williams

To the fandom that helped me realize my one true pairing, USUK

To the fandom that inspired me to write my HetaOni (Hetalia x Reader x 2P!Hetalia) fanfic, that introduced me to so many lovely readers

To the fandom that made me believe that the world really is beautiful, and if you look close enough, twinkling

To the fandom that I know I will always love and cherish

To the fandom I fell for, and stayed in because I chose to

Because I love it so much it hurts

To the fandom that means the whole world  to me (quite literally)

Hetalia Day 2016 Philippines was such a magical, memorable day for me. It was my first Hetalia Day (and hopefully, not the last :">), and it really filled me with excitement knowing that I'll be an event that solely celebrated Hetalia itself. A lot of things almost prevented me from attending the event, like money matters, and class schedules, but I really fought against the odds just to attend it because Hetalia means so much to me, and if I didn't attend an event that's practically a 15 minute jeepney ride from home, I feel like I would regret it forever. So when I finally managed to pay for it, and get that confirmation e-mail about getting a slot for HetaDay, I almost cried.

On the actual date, I came to the event alone. My friends weren't able to go with me because of their busy schedules, and as much as I wanted to go with my best friend (hi Samantha :'>), she had to move to Australia with her family. It was kinda scary, you know. Going to an event alone without knowing anyone, being a smol socially-awkward potato. It was so awkward just standing there at the pickup point, casually scrolling through my phone. I didn't really know what to do.

It was kind of awkward being there by yourself, but luckily, I met really nice people! Hi, Haruka and Roanne! Thank you so much for accepting me ( ; w \ ) It was so nice to befriend new people--especially those who love USUK as much as myself x"D

The three of us were Noble Passers, and as much as we wanted to avail a Royal Pass to enter the Butler cafe during the event, there weren't any more slots available, it seemed ;;

So we stayed at our magical corner by the World Gallery, where the art was by the finalists of the contest they held <3

Roanne was actually one of the finalists of the art contest, where she made this awesome drawing of Manananggal!Philippines :D

The three of us also loved this beautiful, and majestic USUK drawing <3 I always loved Victorian era Hetalia art :'D We kept ogling at our OTP  in our corner xD

((MY EYES KEPT FOLLOWING THIS BEAUTIFUL ROYAL COUPLE FOR MOST OF THE EVENT. BLESS THEM))

So many wonderful, fangasmic moments were witnessed in that corner x'D From our corner, we saw this beautiful royal couple, Cardverse!America and Cardverse!England.

We also saw this cute Sweet Devil!America cosplayer ahhhh <3 <3 <3

We saw Nurse!England.

We saw America pinning England to the wall.

((HOLY SHIT BLESS THIS FOREVER. THIS HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE OUR VERY EYES. B L E S S. THE AMERICA COSPLAYER JUST PINNED THIS ENGLAND COSPLAYER TO THE WALL OUT OF THE BLUE. FANGIRL SCREAMS ERUPTED SO HARD XD))

We saw things that should not have been seen huehue ;) *wink wonk* <3 it was so b e a u t i f u l.

While we were in our corner, we noticed a certain Pirate!England cosplayer that we really wanted to talk to, she was sitting by herself on the stage (we found out that she was waiting for her friend who was inside the cafe)--so we asked for a selfie and started talking to her. She was so nice!! /And/ she also loves USUK!! Hi, Lily!! <3

So there were four of us by then, and just in time--Haruka pulled us in to join the Halloween Costume game xD Our model was the fabulous big brother, France <3 We made him a skirt using his colours, blue, white, and red, a tube top, a bow....and slapped on thick red eyebrows on him just because x'D Afterwards, I explained how the costume accentuated France's fabulous body and how the colours complimented his eyes and stuff xD We won (the prize was bragging rights hahaha!), and we were so happy that France still had the costume on even after the game. We feel so touched :'>

The Ask-a-Nation panel was amazing! Kudos to the panelists for being so on point with their answers x') It really brought a smile (and lots of laughs) to the audience. (but Russia sat on Canada tho poor precious bby x'< ) The first question kinda hurt, since they asked why Prussia was there despite not being a nation anymore </3 but I'm glad Prussia answered it so awesomely. And I can't believe someone asked America something as taboo as the "Team Captain America or Team Iron Man" question x'D

Can I just say how much I loved the England panelist??? Especially during the "You'll Be Back" cover from Hamilton! Ahhh :")

I wish the panel was longer, but all in all, it was really great and entertaining!

And I was so happy when they had us take part in the Hatafutte Parade segment--and with each of us having white flags, too, like the one in the seiyuu event :') I honestly didn't want that segment to end, because I knew that it was the last activity. 

After the Hatafutte Parade, they showcased the finalists of the HetaDay Nation Art contest--and we were all thinking that Roanne would be the only one from our group who would be onstage....but no.

Lily actually went onstage, too.

And guess which one was her entry?

WE WERE LIKE OH HOLY SHIT IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG OMFG WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH BLESS YOU MY USUK LOVING CHILD))

Hetalia Day ended in a blast, with smiles from everyone that just filled my heart with warmth. Being together with people who loved Hetalia so much, and cherished the fandom with all their heart. Having fun with their friends, best friends, new friends--everyone. It was just such a beautiful scene to witness, and it was really a day to be remembered.

So to all the organizers of Hetalia Day 2016 Philippines, thank you so much! Thank you for all of your hardwork and dedication to make a wonderful event such as this, possible. Thank you for helping all of us gather together with our friends and family, to meet new friends, to take part in activities, and to witness so many things that made our hearts swell because we were seeing our favourite and beloved nations around us. You've helped me plunge right back into loving Hetalia to a full 100% and maybe even more. Thank you so much! :")
