Hangover (Germancest)
*Request. Hope you all like it.*
Germany had stayed up all night waiting for his brother to come home. He was worried sick. He'd gotten mad at Prussia before he left, yelling that he was useless and lazy. He hadn't meant it, he was just so stressed from work that he took it out on his brother. Prussia had looked at him with shock and sadness in his eyes. Germany caught the absolute hopelessness deep in Prussia's eyes due to years of feeling abandoned and betrayed by everyone and now he'd done it as well. He then nodded, got up and left, not even bothering to put on a coat.
So when Prussia finally got home at 4:30 a.m. on Spain and France's arms drunk off his ass Germany wasn't exactly surprised. The other two were fine, a little tipsy maybe, and brought Prussia to the couch and allowed him to lay down. He was complaining and grabbing on to Spain who was protesting. Germany thanked them as they left then went to check on his brother. Prussia was asleep already so Germany grabbed his favourite yellow blanket and laid it over him gently, he also brought over his stuffed bird that looked a lot like his actual bird. Prussia snuggled into the comforting items in his sleep. Germany stroked his hair out of his face and went to sit in the armchair so he could be there if Prussia needed anything.
Prussia woke up the next morning to the sound of Germany whisper-yelling at Italy. "Italia, Be quiet! Prussia is sleeping in the living room." Italy gasped loudly. "Oh! Sorry Germany! But, it's almost one you know! We should get him up!" He then heard Italy try to move forwards but Germany stopped him. "Don't. He got home late last night. " Italy laughed. "Oh Germany, you always do this for him. You're so nice. Here, I brought you some pasta make sure you share with Prussia, okay? Bye Germany!" And with that Prussia heard the front door slam and Germany sigh.
Germany was surprised to find Prussia sitting up on the sofa when he returned to the living room. He had his head in his hands and looked sick. "Sorry bruder, are you-" Germany was cut off by Prussia. "Shh... West, You're too-" He cut himself off this time, shooting off the couch and into the bathroom. Germany winced at the awful retching sound his brother made. He quickly grabbed a glass of cold water and some asprin and went to his brothers aid.
Prussia was on his knees, leaning over the toilet on his forearms. He was breathing heavily and clearly in pain. Germany kneeled beside him and offered him the items in his hands. Prussia took them then handed back the glass when he was done. He slumped into a sitting position on the tiled floor. "I'm sorry." Prussia said as Germany placed the glass on the counter top. "Why are you apologizing?" He asked, thoroughly confused. Prussia was sitting now, his elbows on his knees and his face hidden in his arms. "I told them not to take me here." Prussia replied. "Why would you do that?"
"I didn't want to be a burden." Germany was shocked. He felt even worse now. "Bruder, you're not a burden." "Yes I am! That's why I don't have any friends and nobody likes me! I'm not like you West... You have Italy and Japan and the whole world knows who you are! People don't even remember my name anymore." Prussia ranted, closing in on himself a bit more. Germany reached out and scooted closer to him. He lifted Prussias face from his arms to find tears running freely down the elders face. "Oh Prussia. I'm so sorry for what I said yesterday. I didn't mean it. I was stressed and I know that's not an excuse but I promise that you're not a burden on me. You're the awesome Prussia."
Prussia shook his head. "I'm not awesome." Germany pushed Prussia's hair out of his eyes. "Then why do you always say you are?" He enquired. "Because... I feel like I'm the worst so I always act like I'm the best." He answered. Germany smiled. "Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure you say it because it's the truth. Well, it's mine at least." Prussia's eyes widened before he flung himself forwards and into his brothers arms. Germany hugged him back happily.
"I love you Prussia." He said as he stroked his hair. "I love you too, West." Germany pulled back and wiped the tears out of Prussia's eyes. "Now, what do you say I go make you some pancakes, huh?" Prussia smiled and nodded but as Germany went to get up Prussia grabbed his sleeve to stop him. "Thank you West." He smiled. "Of course."
