Chapter 50: To Upload Or To Delete? That Is The Question

Drop dead?
SOUNDS PRETTY FANTASTIC RIGHT NOW!
The pointer on the screen kept on on scrolling back and force between 'taking the chance' and 'playing it safe'.
Well you did spend all of yesterday filming the five dancing and spent the entire night editing the footage, to create what you assume will be become the biggest viral hit of the year, but if you do upload it, you'll loss EVERYTHING you created and including losing ---
The laptop lid slammed shut without warning, jamming your fingers in between the screen and keyboard. A strong hand pushed down the top, but soon lifted it off and started panicking what they did.
IVAN.
Ivan: yanking up the top
Oh no! _-____! I didn't mean to hurt you! You looked so focused in what you were doing that I wanted to surprise you!!!
You: shaking your hands in the air to stop the pain
By maiming my hands?!
Ivan: furiously shaking his head to deny
NUUUUUUU! I WAS JUST TRYING TO COME OFF AS A COOL GUY! LIKE SOMEONE FROM THE MOVIES WHO DOESN'T CARE, BUT ACTUALLY REALLY DOES!!!!!!
Aww!
His awkwardness is so adorable in moments like this!
You: glancing up into his eyes
You, don't need to play the 'bad boy' to get my attention.
A heart warming smile you sent him, diffuses the situation and he reached out, carefully cupping your sore fingertips in his hands.
Ivan: sitting next to you
Well, let me help you with what you were d---
You slammed the laptop shut again, just in time before he could sneak a view of the screen's contents. Figuring out, wether or not, to upload something to the LMC Blog in a public space, like the library... wasn't your brightest idea this morning. But that's when you realised, you had to upload it! Because guys just like Ivan in this school, are being lied to by you and they were missing out on life. However, if you're going to do this, lets make the most of what you have, before you slaughter it, where it stands.
You took in a deep breath and looked into Ivan's eyes, seeing your nerves laughing at the pathetic shell of a human you were... You should stop being the only person who sees you like this.
A lump appeared in your throat, but you swallowed it down and noticed Ivan's confused body language.
You: quickly talking to him on an exhale
Doyoufeellikegoingoutonadatetoday!?
It was obvious that it flew right over his head and he had no clue what you just said, so you had no choice but to ask again.
"Do you feel like going out on a date, today?"
He seemed shocked by you taking the first initiative, to be the first to ask for an official date, but how could he decline. The girl of his dreams, asked him out on a date!
Ivan: furiously nodding his head
Y-YES! DA! DA!
You: awkwardly shuffling the soles of your shoes against the carpet
Great! I-I'll pick you up... Up at 1, this afternoon!
Omg... I hope you have an idea for a date! XD
YOUR'RE SOOOOO DEEP IN TROUBLE NOW!
...
This should be the first date of many, between Ivan and you.
You should be rejoicing with joy right now.
Except, it feels like you're a piano, playing a funeral march.
An afternoon filled with goofing around on a golf field, taking shoots off a cliff face into the ocean; loosing every ball into the ominous deep blue, with a fake smile on your face... Such a tragic metaphor for your relationship.
Despite the time only being spent between you both, in that private moment...
You were distant.
You couldn't connect.
You were alone.
Even though he was physically there with you, you were lost... Physically there, but mentally gone.
The recklessness of speeding through the field on a golff-buggy, jerking donuts in the sand and wild adolescent driving against the crumbling boundaries of the cliff face. It was a sign that you both, were still young and youthful. Yet you're current emotional state, was that of an adult's; constant anxiety over "what will become".
So you hid these emotions, bottling them up, until you felt physically ill, but again you strained that emotion in, EVEN MORE.
He never noticed, no one ever notices, because a smile... A smile is the best cloak of invisibility.
The rushing water of the courtyard fountain, all blissfully lit with small white lights, made the water appear to be a steam of blue tinted silver. It was almost time for curfew, but you didn't want to move, didn't want to leave. You were too busy, thinking about your date today and everything you'll miss, but mostly, hating on yourself. Because all you did today was pretend, PRETEND TO BE HAVING FUN! It would have been so easy for you to have genuinely enjoy it too, but yet again emotions ruin EVERYTHING!
"_-____?"
You turned your head around, swivelling your torso around on the wooden bench, looking into Ivan's eyes, with your tear stung eyes.
Ivan's heart sunk and he walked over to you, wrapping his arms around you, pulling you into a protective hug. Your head fell against his heart, a consistent beating of his heart, showed yet again... You are both young and alive.
You need to help his and everyone's future.
Ivan: whispering, while rubbing your back
I thought you went to your room after dinner... I'm so happy I couldn't calm down from today's events and found you here.
But my love... (He frowns) why are you here? Like this?
You: heaving through your words
J-j-j-ust! Th-th-think-ing!
Ivan went mum, allowing a silence to fall. He sat there with you, rubbing your back, allowing for you to compose yourself.
A spark of genius fell upon him, he could barely contain his genius, so he whispered it into your ear, careful not to allow another soul to hear.
Ivan: whispering into your ear
Wanna break some rules?
Your body stiffened, peeking a glance at the looming face, glaring down at you. He seemed terrifying from this angle; intimidating and dangerous.
Ivan: grinning down at you
Dry those tears... We're on a mission tonight.
...
Ivan picked you up, hoisting you through a half open window. Once you reached the other side, you stuck your hand out, helping to pull Ivan up and through the window as well. The room was pitch black, but after trying to fumble your way around the room and sticking to the walls, careful not to make a noise or a mess, a light-switch was finally located. With a flick, the room was illuminated and the treasures were exposed.
You: chuckling
Breaking into the school kitchen. Haha!
Ivan: walking around and opening cupboards
Prepare to get fat! Haha! Oooooo! Gummy bears!
He removed a packet, from the hoard in the cupboard and waved it around.
Ivan: opening the packet
I don't think they'll miss this packet.
He pulled out a handful and attempted to shove as many as possible in his mouth, then looked at you, showing off his new, rainbow gummy smile.
You did the exact same and returned the same smile, however these seemed like such an odd sight for you both, that it translated as being such a funny moment, you both spat the gummies at each other. Laughing as the floor became sticky and colourful, with miscellaneous gummy bears sticking to your hair and clothes.
You: having a brilliant idea
OH DO YOU THINK THEY HAVE WHIPPED-CREAM!?
In a flash, you both raced towards the fridge, gorging your faces on the whipped-cream you wanted, cake, jelly, custard treats and so much more.
When the point you both reach maximum satisfaction, Ivan stumbled across where the ice cream was stored. All of a sudden, you both suddenly had enough room in your stomachs for the ice cream. You snatched a large mixing bowl and a soup ladle, scooping a bit of ever flavour of the ice-creams from the industrial sized containers. Ivan carried two soup spoons into the freezer where you were scooping the ice-cream and a bag full of toppings he thought were appropriate for the giant sundae in the making.
Making a giant sundae, in a freezer full of ice-cream seemed like a dream come true. All the sweets anyone could ever ask for, conveniently assessable.
Eating it however, seemed so messy, but extremely enjoyable. Both snickering and pointing out to each other when they had ice-cream dripping down their chin or occasionally spraying each other with whipped-cream while playing a game of 'never have I ever'.
Unfortunately, the shenanigans had to draw to an end, but not after a super ungrateful attempt at doing the waltz in the freezer, slipping up on the sticky mess. Every moment seemed perfect, while the dance almost finished, Ivan looked down at you with the biggest, most loving eyes imaginable.
A slip of your emotions caught you off guard and a questioned slipped out.
You: gazing into his eyes
Can you love me, forever?
He remained silent, not a word was said. Time slowed down as your answer was given. His lips pursed against yours, stopping your heart and loosing all sense of being. The taste of sugar swirled around on your tongue, though the inexperience was present in the kiss, there was no trace of awkwardness.
A mutual parting between both lips, allowed for eye contact to yet again to happen.
Ivan: smirking at you
I'll never, be able... To stop loving the girl, I gave my first kiss to.
You: blushing
And in a school freezer.
Ivan: nodding with a goody smile
Y-yeah.
_-____?
You: smiling
Yes, Ivan?
Ivan: kissing you on the cheek
Sleep well, you should get to bed, before you get busted.
You: confused
What about this mess?
Ivan: winking at you
I've got his all under control. Are you able to get out yourself?
You: nodding
Yep. Sleep well, Ivan.
...
You had successfully managed to get to the apartment without being caught and knew exactly what you needed to do, before sleeping.
You: mumbling under your breathe
Annnnndddd... Upload!
