Ch.1 New Everything
I'm starting to board this plane to get to my new University! Oh maybe I should put my name...My name is
(F/n) (L/n), and currently I'm heading off to my first year of college at this really private University. I didn't know before, but everyone here are apparently countries, which is weird. Besides, how can a person actually BE a country anyway? It doesn't make sense right? Well anyway that's that...Time to start my new life away from home, my parents, and my old high school. This will be something fresh. Something exciting, I just know it!
"Okay...Just have to wait for it to take off..." I let a hefty sigh escape my lips as I gazed out the window. This was really happening. I was going off to college...this is so nerve wrecking! What if I Don't make any friends? I will just be the same lonely bookworm I was in high school...
After a couple of minutes, thinking nobody would sit in the seat next to me when someone did. He shrugged as he sat down, and I watched him from the reflection I saw in the window. The guy had dirty blond hair, and this large cowlick like he just woke up from a week long slumber. His eyes seemed blue, but that might just be the sky with the reflection...
"Hey Dudette! Looks like we are sitting next to each other!" His speech scared me for a moment as I turned my head to him. His eyes were blue, and they were sparkling with joy. I didn't really respond to him as I was a little at a loss on what to say or do.
"My name is America, also known as the HERO!" America? Hero? My face was filled with confusion as he laughed at my expression. "Uh... hello Mr. America...." I spoke meekly, as I couldn't believe the people here actually refer to themselves as countries!
"What country are you dudette, I've never seen you around before...Or at least I don't remember." I felt my throat go dry as a lump formed in my throat. He's already onto me. He's going to find out my true identity and then I'll be kicked out for... for faking...
"You okay dudette? You spaced off on me. I just wanted to know your country." He smiled innocently at me, as I let out a breathless sigh. I am going to lose my mind, how will I be able to keep this up? What if I get interrogated? Will I be able to keep up this act? E-enough worrying, let me just go for it...'My name is (c/n), don't forget it.' No, that's too serious...
"My name is... (c/n)..." America stared at me for a moment before gasping loudly. Did I say something wrong already?
"You're! A new country!?" Uh I....Yeah I guess so...Why is he so excited though? Well... I assume new countries don't pop out of no where...
"Yeah...I am.." Once I finished my sentence the plane started to take off, hearing the engines roaring outside as we slowly left the ground. Judging by his childish expression, I would be talking with him the entire time. Well it's better then being anti social right?
"So what classes do you have? Maybe you'll have one with me!" He beamed, taking out a crumpled piece of paper from one of his pockets. He extended his hand out to me as I took the paper in my hand, looking at what he had. All of his classes were in the morning...
"Oh...I just put all of mine in my phone..." I handed back the paper and took out my phone to show him my classes. I had them alternating every day, so it was always something new. Most of mine were during the morning so I could do other things with my day after classes were over.
I showed him what I had and he yawned a bit, starting to seem a little drowsy. "Okay dudette... I'm going to sleep... I'll see ya when I wake up..." I nodded and looked back out the window at the to see the frost forming on it from how high up we were. Well maybe I should take a nap as well.
I allowed my eyes to slowly close as my breath slowed, letting my mind dull into a slumber. I hope that this is a good sign that I will be able to fit in nicely... But who knows right?
