I was invited to a ball,and I'm so excited!My crush is supposed to be there and I'm going to tell him tonight!

His name is _______ and he's so cool to me.

I threw on my best dress and I even put on makeup.My friend Tino is picking me up so we can go.

My heart is racing just imagining him with me.....

I heard a honk from outside my apartment,must be him.

I walked outside and gave him a smile.
He kind of blushed when he saw me.

"Oh um hey (Y/N)!You look great!Ready to go!"

"You bet I am!"

We drove to the ball,blasting our favorite music singing to it.

When we got there,we could see people in there dancing already.

We hopped out and made our way to the door and entered.There was some nice music playing and people were chatting.

I was looking around for my crush,but no luck.Well time to start on that chocolate fountain I just so happened to see!

The chocolate tastes like heaven!I put some strawberries in and mucked on them but I felt a tap on my shoulder.

ITS HIM!Stay calm,I can't screw this up...

"Hey there."

"Oh hey _____."

He was wearing a suit and it made him look so handsome with it on...

We made small talk for a while and then my face started to heat up,I'm going to ask the question!My heart rate increase and I put a fist over it.

"Um ______....I have something really important to ask you..."

"Uh ok by me.Go for it."

I took a deep breath and looked into his eyes shining.

"I...I love you....."

I looking into my eyes,he smiled.Does he feel the same?Then he started laughing.

He was laughing so hard I saw tears almost prick out his eyes.

I wasn't laughing though.

"Sorry....its just funny..."

He went back to a serious face and held my hand.I swear my heart was melting,and I could feel some eyes on us.

"I.....I'm sorry...I just don't like you in that way (Y/N)...."

Tears threatened to spill out my eyes as he let go of my hand and walked away.

I walked out to the back yard of the huge house and sat down on the steps.

I cried into my arms and shuddered at the cold against my skin.Why does love have to be so cruel?!?

I felt like my life was over,I've been rejected and humiliated in front of everyone....

I felt someone stand me up.

Tino?

His purple eyes twinkled in the darkness and he gave me a patient smile,wiping my tears away.

"Don't worry ok?He's just a jerk."

I nodded in agreement.Why did I like him anyway!

He pulled me into a warm hug I started hearing one a song.Tino knows this to,so he let me go.

"May I have this dance?"
He extended his hand to me and blushed.

I made a weak smile and took his hand.

We danced to the music,laughing under the gaze of the moon.

I can't deny,I couldn't have asked for a more perfect moment in my life.
