I guess im not (Denmark)

As Norway walked to the meeting room, his foot caught something. Falling back unexpectedly, Denmark behind him was ready to catch him, like the good brother / hopeful love interest he is. Denmark knew that there was a .0001% of Norway actually letting him catch him, and even if he did, he'd get off just as quick as he fell. The second Denmark's hands touched the back of Norway's arms he backfliped over the danish man. Leaving a good three feet between the two. The Norwegian brushed his hair down and continued on his way, not carrying about Denmark who was standing shocked about what just happened.

With his arms stretched out in the same position as before, his eyes were wide in realization. Just barely figuring out the lengths that Norway would go to to get away from him. And it stung. Denmark had always wanted to be more to Norway, more than a friend or a brother. Someone who could hold him close and cuddle on the couch by a warm fire, but sadly he saw how it was just a fantasy. His outstretched arms fell to his sides and he continued walking to the meeting room, putting a fake smile on to hide the pain he held.

During the meeting, he tried to talk to Iceland about his relationship with Hong Kong. Iceland was a blushing, stuttering mess that grew worse with every playful tease Denmark said.  He was going to say a joke about something else, sensing the uncomfortableness of the younger nation, Norway had grabbed his tie and choked him. Silencing him up with gasps and quicks breaths. When he stopped, he rubs his hand along his throat trying to sooth the pain that was placed against him once more.

Turning away from the others, he let his smile drop for second. Letting the events play in his head once more before goin back to "normal." Normal meant when Norway would pester Iceland to call him big brother, Sweden would silently watch over Finland and Sealand, Iceland would be trying to mind his own business by staying the farthest yet closest to the rest as possible. Everyone seemed to have a role in the group. One that if played by someone else would just feel wrong. Denmark thought about his role in the group, he was the comedic relief. Letting Norway choke him and the others treat him badly to make sure that stayed happy, even if he wasn't.

When the meeting was over, the nordics expected Denmark to go with them to Sweden's house to hang out like always. But they were surprised as Denmark left with out them, heading his own way to a dark blue car in the back of the parking lot. The others didn't really care, they felt relaxed knowing that they wouldn't have to "babysit" Denmark for a couple of days. The were honestly getting a bit annoyed at his loud and childish nature, always saying nonsense when it's the absolute worst time. The peace and quiet they'd get would be refreshing till the Dane came back, but what they didn't know is that the Dane didn't want to go back.

He was tired of the way they were treating him. The constant choking that happens at least once a day from Denmark, the glares from Sweden, the annoyance from Finland, Iceland not bothering to talk to him if Denmark wasn't the first to start the conversation. Even Sealand whom thought that Denmark was childish for his age and thought that he needed to mature. He was supposed to be an adult. Those things didn't really bother him that much. He had gotten quite used to them being annoyed at his presence, but what hurt the most was when he knew that Norway doesn't have the same feelings for him that way he does.

Denmark loves Norway. Always have and always will. But Norway doesn't feel the same, although he doesn't say it, Denmark knows. He can tell by the way Norway pushes him away and the way he treats Mathias. From the cold shoulder to the choking and even the negligence from the rest had made him feel depressed. The feeling of unwantedness washed over him in waves that night as he stumbled into his cold and empty home. It barely had any furniture in it for he stays in Sweden's house with the others most of time.

Sitting on the small two-seater couch he takes off his jacket, boots, tie, and hat. He throws them against the wall before he started to cry. Denmark wasn't really the one to cry if it wasn't serious, but Mathias...Mathias is a kind hearted soul. He'd do anything to make sure that the others are happy even if he gets hurt, cause it's worth it. Yet, Mathias couldn't help but cry knowing that the one he loves, doesn't love him. Or that his brother that he's known for his whole life hates him with a burning passion. And that the little brother that once loved to be around him, no longer wants to even be near him. It all was too much for the simple hearted man, so much that he couldn't help the tears that fell.

That's how he starts for the rest of the night. Crying into his hands, realizing that the ones he considered his family, might not think of him as a part of theirs?

When morning arrived and the countries had to go to back to the meeting room, Denmark stayed as far away as he could from the rest. He didn't talk to them or even glanced at them. He had a stone hard expression on his face during the meeting and only chatted with his other friends, such as Prussia, America, and the Netherlands. They considered him a friend right? As the meeting wore on, he could hear the conversation Norway was having with Finland.

"Finally, a meeting where we could listen now," Norway said.

"Yeah, the last time we had one like this was when Denmark was sick and he told us to go to the meeting without him," Finland replied writing something down.

"Glad we can have some silence for once," Norway says and goes back to paying attention.

Each word hurt. It stung his heart hearing what his crush and brother though if him. They really did think I was annoying Denmark thought to himself as a tear rolled down his cheek. Quickly wiping it away he resumed to focusing on the presenter.

.~*a time skip to a few days later*~.

After he meeting had ended for the month, everyone was sent back to their respective countries. Some were glad to get away from the boring lectures by the others, others were not so happy knowing h at they didn't have someone to hang out with after. Denmark was one of those people. He quickly packed his thin and walked out of the the meeting hall and to the parking lot when he got stopped. A voice called out to him from behind, it sounded concerned but he knew that it was fake. Anyone could tell that it was forced. Denmark turned around and had saw the rest of the nordics waiting for him.

       "What?" Denmark asked.

"Why are you avoiding us? Are you mad at us?" Finland asked.

"No, I'm not mad, just finaly realized the truth," Denmark answered and began to walk to the car again.

"oh stop being emotional," Norway says. "It's not like we ever did anything, so c'mon you stupid Dane."

"Oh you did something," Denmark says putting his briefcase in his car. "You choke me with my own tie, call me names, tell others how that you glad that I'm not talking."

"You all did something," Denmark continued. "Finland didn't say or do anything, but I could automatically tell that he was always pissed off of annoyed when I would talk or even be near him. Iceland doesn't talk to me, much less notices my existence. Sweden just hates me with a burning passion and I can tell he wants me dead. So, That's is the reason I'm avoiding you."

"Denmark we-" Sealand starts to say But was city of by the Dane.

"Don't say you're sorry, I can tell you aren't, so I don't need your pity," Denmark says and gets into his car. "And to think I liked someone whom always treated me like I was piece of shit on his shoe, or that I even thought if you as my family. I guess I'm not." With that he drove off leaving the rest in shock, only one thing on their mind.

             What had they done?
