You Belong With Me (America x Nyo!England)

Narrator's POV
You're on the phone with your girlfriend
She's upset
She's going off about something that you said
'Cause she doesn't get your humor like I do
Alice sighed as she looked out her window, spotting her longtime friend and crush, Alfred, who was arguing on the phone with his girlfriend Francine.
'They really don't get along,' Alice thought to herself, watching the scene from her room while listening to music, still trying to see what Alfred sees in Francine.
But she wears short skirts
I wear T-shirts
She's cheer captain
And I'm on the bleachers
Alice thought back to all the times during football practice that she'd be on the bleachers, watching Alfred go out there and have fun but never say much to him, unlike Francine who would make the cheerleaders stay extra to do more 'practice', which was really her excuse to be around Alfred.
'I just can't stand that wanker,' Alice thought with a scowl on her face. She turned away from the window, only to look at herself in the mirror.
'Maybe it's our different fashions,' Alice thought, looking at herself relaxing in a T-shirt but picturing Francine in at least some sort of fancy shirt and skirt, if not a dress. Alice was pulled from her thoughts as the yelling got louder. She turned back to the window, staring at Alfred, thinking back to before Francine came into the picture.
Walkin' the streets with you and your worn-out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be
Laughing on a park bench, thinking to myself
Hey isn't this easy
Oh how many hours would they spend together. They'd walk to school, have classes together, even walk home together, or when they felt like it, they'd take a detour and go through the park, maybe get some ice cream along the way. And how much would Alfred make Alice laugh. Even just his smile would light but the world around her.
But as Alice thought this, a frown found its way onto her face.
'His smile...'
And you've got a smile that could light up this whole town
I haven't seen it in a while since she brought you down
'God, I haven't seen it in such a bloody while,' Alice thought to herself before being drawn back to the window where she saw Alfred throw his phone aside, a frustrated look on his face. Alice moved to her notebook and pen, picking it up before heading over to the window, taking a small stone she kept in her plant's pot and throwing it at the window, getting Alfred's attention.
"You okay?" Alice wrote on the notepad, holding it up. Alfred sighed as he forced a smile on his face, holding up his own answer.
You say your fine
I know you better then that
Hey what you doing with a girl like that
Alice read it and sighed, shaking her head, knowing what Alfred had said wasn't true. Oh how she wished he would be honest with her as she watched him get out a tuxedo for the prom.
If you can see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along so why can't you see
You belong with me
It was then that Alice glanced over at the emerald dress she had bought on the off chance she decided to go to prom. It was then that Alice decided.
'It's now or never,' She told herself before going off to get ready before driving off to the school, and heading into the gymnasium, memories and thoughts flying about her as she headed towards the doors.
Oh, I remember you drivin' to my house in the middle of the night
I'm the one who makes you laugh
When you know you're about to cry
And I know your favorite songs
And you tell me about your dreams
Alice took a deep breath and pushed the doors open, walking inside with her head held high. People stopped and stared as she marched towards Alfred and Francine, Francine's back to her. Alice's eyes met Alfred's, Alice smiling as she saw Alfred's eyes widen and jaw dropping.
I think I know where you belong
I think I know it's with me
Alfred pushed Francine aside, walking over to Alice and gawking at her. Alice looked up at him.
"Alice... I had no idea that..." Alfred's voice trailed off as he stared at her. Alice huffed.
"It's about bloody time you wanker." She said, making him let out a hearty laugh, smiling his dazzling smile as Francine was no longer around, having run off somewhere to go fix her hair which Alfred had ruined by pushing her aside.
"Care to dance?" Alfred offered. Alice flashed him a smile.
"Definitely," Alice said, taking Alfred's hand and finally getting what she wanted; Alfred.
