Canada-cat = Maple (same as with France-cat, there is not official neko name nor fan fic one so I'll use this)

Narrator's POV

Cesar was anxiously walking back and forth in front of a door, waiting for something, anything to alert him that everything was going to be okay.  But no sign had come yet saying that Biscuit was alright, that the kittens were alright!

Just then, Cesar stopped his pacing as his ears twitched.  He turned his head towards the door, walking closer to it.  He placed his ear up to the door and heard it again; the sound of kittens meowing and Biscuit purring.

Cesar gently pushed the door open and walked into the cat room, happy to be met with such a sweet sight; Biscuit was gently licking the fur of a small blond kitten with a single bouncy curl as a slightly bigger kitten with a collar of dark fur was huddled into Biscuit's side.

Cesar made his way over, placing himself beside Biscuit, sandwiching the two kits between their parents.  The little blond one with a bouncing curl moved blindly towards Cesar, snuggling into his fluffy coat.  Cesar smiled and licked the kitten, making the kit meow happily.

"You did wonderfully mon amour," Cesar said as he looked over to a tired but content Biscuit.  Cesar stretched over to lick Biscuit, gaining a purr from said male.

"Thank you love."  Biscuit said.  He placed his head down and curled towards Cesar.  Cesar did the same, making sure to be wary of the two newborn kits.  Biscuit looked lovingly at the sleeping newborns.

"They're perfect..."  Biscuit said as exhaustion started to seep into his voice.

"Oui, zhey are, but like zhem, you need to rest mon amour."  Cesar said softly, nuzzling Biscuit.   Biscuit purred in reply, falling asleep.  Cesar looked down at his fluffy family and smiled, before laying down and resting.

It had been three weeks since the kits had been born and now they were beginning to explore the cat room they had grown used to.  Biscuit was napping in the large cat bed as Cesar sat on the scratching post, watching his two curious kittens.

Well, mostly keeping his eye on Hero who was the more troublesome of the two, not much on sweet Maple who was snuggling into the stuffed polar bear.

Hero chewed and played with his toy cheeseburger, hitting it all about the room.  He caught it and began gnawing on it again.  But soon, the sound of growling tummies filled the room as Hero stopped chewing his toy and looked to his stomach, just as Maple did the same.  Maple looked up at Cesar.

"P-papa, I'm-"

"I'm starved!"  Hero yelled.  Cesar jumped down and placed his paw on Hero's mouth.

"Shh! S'il vous plaît be quiet."  Cesar said, eyes darting towards Biscuit who shifted but continued to sleep.  Cesar sighed and removed his paw, looking to his two sons.  "I'll be right back with something for you to two to eat, so please be quiet and do not leave zhis room."  The two kits nodded.

"Y-yes Papa."  Maple said as Hero was running about in excitement over the idea of getting something to eat.  Cesar sighed and moved towards the door, pushing it open and disappearing behind.  After a moment, Hero stopped and looked towards the partially open door, tilting his head.

"Hey bro, what do ya think is out there?"  Hero asked.  Maple shook his head.

"I-I don't know, b-but Papa and D-dad say w-we're too young t-to go out t-there."  Maple said.  Hero looked at his brother and then at the door.

"No we're not!"  Hero said.  He ran over to the door and looked out the gap.  "Woah, come see this Maple!"  Hero said as his tail began to wag.  Maple moved over and looked out.

"Wow... i-it's so d-different."  Maple said.  Hero pushed the door open more and walked out.

"Wahh! H-Hero you can't-"

"Come on Maple!"  Hero said, tugging Maple out by his tail.  When the two were finally both out, they found themselves in a narrow room filled with more doors [aka the hallway].

"H-Hero, where a-are we?"  Maple asked as he looked around.  Hero shook his head, eyes shining with excitement.

"No idea, let's explore!"  Hero said as he dashed down the hall towards another open door.  Maple glanced back at the cat room before following Hero.  The two soon found themselves in a bedroom.  Hero hopped up onto the bed and began bouncing around.

"Hey Maple! You gotta try this out dude!"  Hero said.  Maple shyly got onto the bed and began following his brother's lead.  The two brothers began laughing and enjoying themselves.

"Look at this little bro!"  Hero said.  He then did a flip and landed on the ground.

"Wow! T-that's so c-cool!"  Maple said.

"You gotta try it! It's so much fun!"  Hero said.  Maple looked unsure but decided to try what his brother said.

"A-alright Hero."  Maple said.  He then backed up and got ready to jump, but before he could he heard a voice cry out.

"Don't do zhat!"  Cesar exclaimed as he ran into the room with Biscuit, both looking worried.  Cesar ran up onto the bed and over to Maple, picking him up by the scruff of his collar as Biscuit did the same with Hero.  The only difference was that Hero struggled.

"No!  Put me down! I wanna play more!"  Hero yelled.  Biscuit huffed and carried Hero back to the cat room with Cesar in tow.

When they finally reached the room they found bowls of food and fresh milk waiting for them.  Cesar placed Maple down beside his bowls, gently licking Maple's fur as Maple nuzzled into Cesar's fur.  Biscuit closed the door and placed a pouting Hero down.

"You know you are not supposed to leave the room!  You could've been hurt or gotten lost or blah blah blah blah blah"  Biscuit continued his lecture as Cesar gently nudged Maple towards the food.  Maple looked back at Biscuit then back to Cesar, but Cesar only shook his head and once more pushed him towards the food.  Maple hesitantly started eating, purring a bit when he found out that there was a little maple syrup mixed in with his milk.

Cesar looked back at Biscuit and saw Hero hanging his head, ears flattened.  He sighed and went over to them.  He sat down beside Biscuit and licked Biscuit behind his ears.  Biscuit stopped his lecture and turned to Cesar.

"Mon amour," Cesar said.  "I zhink he 'as learned his lesson, now let him eat."  Biscuit looked down and saw the sad kitten and sighed.  He moved towards Hero and licked him comfortingly on the head.

"Alright Hero, you can go eat now."  Biscuit said.  Hero looked up, the sparkle in his eyes returning.  He ran over to his bowl and began chowing down as Cesar and Biscuit watched.  Cesar moved over to Biscuit and began licking him behind the ears again, eliciting a sigh from Biscuit.

"Thank you love."  Biscuit said.  Cesar just purred in response.  He continued grooming Biscuit till he felt a small paw press against his bigger paw.  Cesar stopped and peered over to see Maple looking up at him.  Cesar lowered his head to Maple's level and licked his face clean.

"Oui mon petite Maple?"  Cesar asked.  Maple just cuddled between Biscuit and Cesar.

"I-I'm tired..."  Maple said.  Biscuit and Cesar chuckled.  Biscuit licked Maple's head comfortingly.  Biscuit then nudged Maple towards the large cat bed.

"Time to rest little one."  Biscuit said softly.  Maple just yawned a bit and cuddled into Biscuit.  Biscuit picked Maple up and carried him over to the bed as Cesar began cleaning Hero.  Once done, Cesar carried Hero over to the bed and placed him down, licking the tired kit to sleep.

"Shall we sleep a bit too?"  Biscuit asked as he watched the two sleeping kittens.  Cesar purred in response.

"Oui, after coming back to find zhem gone and panicking, I zhink we both need to rest."  Cesar said with a chuckle.  Biscuit nodded placed his head down beside Cesar's as the two curled up around their two adorable kittens, both kits snuggling into the sides of their parents.

"Sweet dreams mon amour."  Cesar said, pressing his nose to Biscuit's.  Biscuit pressed back.

"Goodnight love."  Biscuit said before they both fell asleep.
