Narrator's POV

You sighed as you walked through the park, your eyes on the ground when you bumped into something accidently.

"Oof,"  You said.  "Sorry, I wasn't - oh!  Lukas?  Is that you?"  You asked.

"[name]?"  Lukas said, a slight look of surprise on his face.

Haven't seen you since high school

Good to see you're still beautiful

Gravity hasn't started to pull quite yet

"It's good to see you,"  You said, both of you taking a seat at a small cafe that was nearby, both of you having a warm drink.

"Yes."  He said.  "So how are things between you and-"

"I'll stop you right there,"  You said, holding your hand up while wearing a strained smile.  You let out a sigh.  "He left me."  You said.

One that's five and one that's three

"... I'm sorry to hear that,"  Lukas said softly.  You nodded with another sigh as you stared at your drink.

"Yeah... guess a small-town girl wasn't enough for him."  You said.  You then shook your head and gave Lukas a small smile.

"So how's life in the city?"  You asked.

Good to know that you got free

"... Alright."  Lukas said, a sigh now leaving his lips.

"I take it things aren't going great?"  You asked, Lukas shaking his head, gently putting his coffee cup down.

"... She left me."  He said with a sigh.  "And not on a good note."

"Yeah..."  You said, now looking down at your own drink.  "Same with me and him."

"... At least we still have some things in common."  You said awkwardly.  Lukas just nodded, silence settling on you two before you both went back to a topic you both knew far too well; your exes.

"So you two don't keep in touch?"  Lukas asked.  You shook your head.

"He's too busy with his new girl and their future together."  You said, thinking bitterly back to seeing a picture posted online of him and the new girl getting engaged, just a few weeks after you and he had broken up.

How about her? No but I hear

She's in Queens with the man of her dreams

Funny back then she said that about you

"Man..."  You said, leaning forward in your seat a bit.  "She moved on quickly too.  Guess we're both unlucky?"  You said.

"Yes."  Lukas said.

Both of you soon began racking your brains, trying to find a lighter topic.

"Really?"  You asked.  "Mattias actually got married?"

"Yes,"  Lukas said.  "To a blond beauty."

"Good for him,"  You said with a chuckle.  "He was always so goofy and always getting into trouble."

"Yes, like the time he said he could beat you in arm wrestling,"  He said.

"Can't beat a black belt."  You said, flexing your arm and giving your muscles a good pat.  Just then you both heard the town clock tower go, signaling the time.

"Oh dear,"  You said.  "I have to get going."  You said, standing up, Lukas doing the same.

Let's do this soon again, ten years is that what it's been?

Can't believe how time flies by

"... I suppose I must be off too,"  Lukas said softly, though he didn't really want this to end.  And neither did you.

"Yeah..."  You said.  You then reached into your pocket and grabbed a pen, writing something down on a napkin and giving it to Lukas.

"Call me if you ever want to do something like this again,"  You said kind of awkwardly, making the corner of Lukas's lips twitch upwards.

"I'd like that."  He said.
