There was a point when Matthew would try everyday to get attention.

Then it turned into every world meeting, which were usually monthly.

Then he'd try every other month.

Eventually he stopped trying to gain any attention whatsoever. Canada told himself that he didn't care and that it didn't matter at first.

He started questioning whether he mattered at all until he came to conclusion that no, he didn't matter.
