Music Notes

Hungary watched from the corner of the door as Austria played away on his piano. Hungary would never admit it, well nor would he, but she always had a slight burning sensation when she was around him. His face would sometimes flush before he completely covered it and wandered off, saying Italy needed him. Hungary knew that Italy had not called for him, nor had anyone else. It was a poor excuse for getting away with her, though she couldn't complain.
He was too kind and admirable for her to complain. She found her own face blushing as she walked away from the beautiful music filling the houses source. She turned into the living room to find a young Italy sweeping the floor. He looked at her, grinned and continued sleeping.
The burning sensation had left her cheeks and she returned to listening in the doorway. Austria's music was something indescribable, something that nobody else could possibly copy. His fingers lightly brushed the keys before he glanced upward. Hungary attempted to hide behind the corner of the door, though he had spotted her just to quick.
"You don't have to listen from out there." Austria's soothing voice called to her. She sighed and walked into the room. "Here, have you ever tried to play a piano?" Hungary smoothed her dress and sat down next to him.
"No." Hungary admitted. She turned her eyes to his before quickly looking away. He pushed up her eyes before grabbing her hand. She cheeks felt hot as he took the other one and placed them along the dominoes.
"Here, listen." He set his fingers on top of hers and continued playing his song. The melody drifted through the room as his fingers pressed gently on top of hers, causing hers to press on the keys.
Hungary watched her fingernails as they ran along the keys. Her entire face seemed hot, she wondered if he felt the same. A quick glance was stolen to his face. She held a gasp as his curl was sticking to his forehead and his checks were red. She smiled to herself as he let go of her fingers.
"Did you learn something?" Austria turned his face to hers. The redness coloring his cheeks had left, but his hair sticking to his head deceived his cool and collected expression. Hungary brought her green eyes to his before lowering them once more.
"Yes, Mr. Austria." She became focused to her hands, picking her nails to the beat of the song she just played. She can't believe he let her touch his piano, he must really care for her. Though he held his tenacity to not feeling affection to his workers.
"No need to call me Mr. Austria." He set his hand on top of her fidgeting one. "It makes me feel old." A smile ran across his face. "Just call me Austria." Hungary looked up to him before lowering her eyes once more. He set his hand on her jaw bone and slowly pulled her eyes to him.
She couldn't look away now. Her body shook as he leaned forward, planted a quick kiss on her cheek and turned. Hungary stood up, held her cheek with her fingers and walked out of the room. She managed to bump into Italy as she walked out.
"I saw everything!" He said in his adorable voice. Hungary glanced down, ruffled his hair and then smiled. "You and Mr. Austria are so cute!" He called out. He was jumping up and down with excitement.
"Aw, thanks Italy." Hungary grinned. She bent down to him as he hugged her. She suddenly noticed that her body was red and her hands were shaking.
"You okay?" Italy asked her. She looked where she had been clutching his arm. He was only eleven at the time, and she might've just crushed his arm.
"Oh I'm sorry, I was just thinking." She stood up and rubbed the back of her neck. She flipped up her hair and turned away.
"It's okay!" Italy told her in his happy voice. He bounced off, dragging the broom he had been carrying with him. Italy was such a happy little soul. He needed allies, friends, family, but instead he's here. Hungary sighed to herself, hoping only soon that he would be released and find some allies. Until then, she and Austria would be there for him.
Hungary continued her normal duties from then on. She began to go outside for those chores when she bumped into Austria. Once, like before, her face went completely red and she backed away.
"Sorry." She mumbled. She began to walk outside once more before Austria placed a hand on her shoulder. She turned to find his face as red as hers.
He cleared his throat. "I just wanted to say sorry from earlier. I really don't know what came over me." He sighed. "I'm sorry if you're offended." He pushed up his glasses, released his hand from her shoulder and began to walk away.
"Austria!" Hungary called for him. He turned to look at her and then smiled. "I wasn't offended. To be honest I kind of like you." She covered her mouth with her hands, as if taking back what she had just stated.
"Really?" Austria called back. He walked to her and smiled. Hungary dropped her hands from her mouth before hugging him full on.
Austria's action was quite delayed. He waited for a couple seconds before continuing the affection. She looked at him before standing on her tip toes to reach his lips. She kissed him lightly before deciding to continue her work. As she left his hand caressed her cheek. She fingered her cheek before walking out.
When she left Austria's face went red and he walked back to his piano, seeing if his melody could return her to his arms.
I warned you. AustriaxHungary is my OTP. And Austria in that picture at the top though. This was mainly for a friend, who told me I should really write this on Wattpad because awkwardly I wrote this for a five sentence advanced reading report. I'll link her below. -Panda <3
