Before training

Germany's p.o.v

I woke up as soon as light shone in from the curtains, sitting up and stretching some I looked down next to me to see Italy sleeping there....typical. Sighing I decided to be nice to him and let him sleep in for a little bit more..weird but he actually looks cute slee-what? What am I thinking? He's only my friend and ally, I shouldn't be thinking of him like that, it's unprofessional. Getting up I took a quick shower, got dressed and began to wake up Italy.
"Italy, you need to wake up." I shook him and he turned over, frowning I shook him rougher.
"Italy wake up." I said sternly, he immediately sat up and screamed a little.
"Ah Germany I'm sorry for sleeping in! I promise I won't do it again!" He said and held the pillow in his arms.
"It is okay Italy, I let you this time but next time set an alarm." I said to him and began walking out.
"Okay Germany!" Just hearing his voice sound so happy made my he-seriously what am I thinking? Shaking my head and shaking my head as I went downstairs and made breakfast.

Italy's p.o.v

I think I made Germany mad at me again, when he woke me up he looked disappointed and when he left the room he shook his head and sighed. I think that Romano was right, I am a disappointment to everyone, Germany is just keeping me here because he feels sorry for me. I know! I'll show him! I'll do my best today! I'll show him! I'll show everybody that I can do it! Smiling to myself I got up and took a shower and got into my training clothes and laced up my shoes extra tight to make sure that they wouldn't fall off like last time. Going downstairs I met up with Japan and Germany who were eating breakfast as usual.
"Good morning Japan! Good morning Germany!" I said happily and got some breakfast and sat down in the middle of them.
"Good morning Italy, did you sleep well?" Japan asked me, I nodded and smiled.
"Italy after you finish eating go start stretching." Germany said to me and I nodded, grabbing a plate of food and ate next to Japan. Germany stood up and left out the back door into the yard to start training as usual. Eating I made small talk with Japan, talking about the decrease in cat in the area and how China was. Finishing eating I got up and walked into the yard where Germany was and started to stretch along with him, trying my best not to complain of the heat or how boring this was.

Germany's p.o.v

I started stretching as soon as I got outside, a few minutes later Italy came outside, stretching next to me ad well. I noticed something, he wasn't complaining as usual and wasn't smiling.. Mhm odd. It's probably nothing but I should ask about it later. A few moments later Japan joined us.

After stretching

No ones p.o.v

Germany instructed Japan and Italy to run five laps then do thirty pushups. Nodding, Japan, started to do a light jog around the track, Germany leading and Italy trying to do his best in keeping up. Panting and side cramps occurred with Italy as he ran more than he would have, his shirt becoming drenched in sweat from the sun beating down on him and the exercise he was doing. Reaching his third lap he started to slow down but sped up faster than the last two laps.

Germany's p.o.v

I stared at Italy as he ran, I had finished my laps and pushups and was waiting on Japan and Italy to finish. I grew concerned for Italy, he was running more laps than he normally would have been doing... Did something happen that I don't know of? Maybe I am being too harsh on him, I should lay off him for a while, I don't want him to get hurt. Jogging over to him I stopped him and out my hand on his shoulder.
"What's wrong Germany? Am I not running as fast? I can go faster if you want me to." Italy said, fidgeting as he spoke which wasn't like him. I sighed some and looked him in the eyes.
"Are you okay?" I asked him in which he nodded.
"Yep I'm fine." He said, I looked at him quizzically.
"Are you lying to me?" I asked him again, he shook his head. "Italy you need to tell me what is wrong." I said and bent down some so I was eye level with him. He adverted his eyes from mine and I saw a tear run down his cheek.
"I'm not good enough to be part of the axis, I'm weak and have no use for you.. I'll just slow you down... I'm better off just leaving." Italy said, I looked at him shocked, I never knew he thought this way. At first I didn't know what was happening but I was hugging him, cradling his head in my head as I hugged him tightly.
"Italy you keep this alliance together, without you there wouldn't be any fun or adventures. It would be Japan and I and it would be boring and I don't want that. I care deeply for you, I know it seems like I don't but I do." I said, not letting the hug go. He looked up at me and I wiped away some of tears, he smiled and hugged back happily.
"Te amo Germany!" Italy said happily, I blushed faintly but smiled softly.
"Ich leibie dich auch, Italy." I replied, resting my chin on his head.
