Smile (TurkIce)

** SanMarinoHetalia  had the prompt of TurkIce, smile. Never wrote for this ship before lol, and idk how I feel about this, but I hope you like it and as always thanks for the prompt!! **

Sadik raised his eyebrows at the boy in front of him. Without fail, he always looked so serious! He never seemed to have time for anything fun, and hell. He was just a kid! Well compared to him, anyway.

"Why are you so serious, kiddo?" Sadik asked casually. Emil didn't answer right away, but neither of them were that surprised.

"I don't know." Emil said finally, and it was honest. "Guess there just isn't a lot to smile about lately, huh?"

Sadik thought about that. Was that true? I mean neither of them really had a lot of friends. Close ones at least. Emil had his brother and his friends; and Sadik had Heracles...loosely speaking. But their lives were...empty. Boring. Individual.

Maybe Emil really was telling the truth. Why should anyone smile anymore?

Sadik wrapped an arm around his friend, and to his surprise, he didn't flinch and pull away like he thought he might. Instead he looked up at him, as serious as ever, but eyes blank and at peace.

"Kiddo, there's always something to smile about." Sadik grinned and touched the corner of Emil's mouth gently. "Sometimes it takes a little time, yeah? But if you look, you'll find it."

Emil shrugged, still silent, but he still didn't pull away. In fact he leaned into him.

Sadik felt his heart warm. This was nice. He was a good kid. "And someday life won't be this good, Emil." Emil looked up at him again, eyebrows furrowed, and he continued: "Someday we won't have all this. So it's better to smile at the mundane stupid things now...before it's too late."

( "That's dark." Emil said flatly, and Sadik just laughed. )
