Xiuhcoatl
Nation Name: Olmec (a name given by the Aztec, it means "rubber people")
Human Name: Xiuhcoatl (a name given to him by an ancient people, it means "fire serpent")
Age: roughly 21,000
Sexuality: aromantic heterosexual
Appearance: Xiuhcoatl has short black hair with straight bangs, though it is a tad long in the back; just enough to cover his neck. He has naturally tanned skin though it is a bit paler than most of his siblings due to his spending more time out at night rather than spending time in the sun. He stands at about 6'4" and has broad shoulders with an athletic physique. Xiuhcoatl likes to wear clothing that is mobile and shies away from things like suits and fitted clothing. He can normally be seen wearing a thin sleeveless gray turtleneck and olive green pants. Over his shirt he usually wears a long sleeved brown button up to cover his heavily bandaged arms that reach from the tips of his fingers to his shoulders. He likes to wear brown hiking boots and commonly wears dark brown gloves at all times.
His bandages are actually held together by magic as he has no arms, an ancient wound that couldn't be healed, but though they may be made of magic if touched it still seems that his arms are real.
Xiuhcoatl's eyes are a mix of red, orange, and pale yellow with flecks of blue appearing if he is angered. They seem to glow when it is dark and if looked into closely they appear to flicker as if aflame.
He has a pouch attached to a belt that holds things such as lighters, matches, or flint stones and keeps it with him at all times.
Personality: Xiuhcoatl is a kind man with a friendly aura and while not a pacifist would rather first try to solve conflict with words before using violence, something he passed down to his younger sibling Aapo. He is energetic and loves to live to life to the fullest in any possible. Very much a family oriented person he enjoys spending time with the family he has left and trying to get to know the younger siblings he never had a chance to know earlier in life.
A tactician and keenly observant by nature yet a comforter and compassionate by heart he used to struggle with keeping a balance between his family life and his life as a warrior and protector of his people. Though later he eventually learned how to have peace with both and continues to do so.
He has a love for literature and can sometimes spend an entire day doing little else but reading. This is a contradiction with his go-getter attitude and want to achieve productivity every day. He despises laziness and his counterpart's procrastinating irks him to no end.
While he is chronologically the eldest of his siblings, and lives to keep busy, he does not necessarily act like it. He let his younger sister, Native Canada, take over that role while he focused on just keeping his people alive and well and keeping intruders or warring neighbors away.
History: [editing in process]
Other: He is a master of fire magic and was mentor to A'Tabai in the art. He can conjure up a flame simply by thinking of it, though this comes from centuries of practice and much more concentration than one would think. He is able to do simple things such as light fires or other various things such as create a being of fire though it can be extinguished with water magic. However, no normal water can quench his flames, it must be done by water magic, earth magic, or forcing him to lose concentration or consciousness. Unlike Zan, who draws power for magic from the sun, Xiuhcoatl draws this from the moon.
He has a second ability, one which he passed down to his Mayan sister Ixazalouh, of empathy. Able to feel others' emotions and pain as if it were near his own.
Back in his heyday he used to be a teacher of sorts. Helping others who had the ability to use various magics or simply helping children or others learn about day to day life. It was a passion of his and remains so to this day though he no longer has anyone to teach his magic to.
A bit of explaining is in order:
The Olmec appear to be younger than those such as Teotihuacan because they disappeared shortly after the Mayans came into being and the Teotihuacan did not. Aapo and A'Tabai and their Nyos' people mixed with that of the Aztec, Toltec, and Mayan so they kept on living and as such when the Olmecs were brought back after having found descendants among the Mayans they came back at the age they disappeared and so they appear to be still in their late thirties while the Teotihuacan have aged as a result of never having disappeared themselves.
