Cadmael

Nation Name: Tikal

Human Name: Cadmael (meaning "war chief")

Age: unverified. Appears to be about 39

Sexuality: alloromantic heterosexual

Appearance: Cadmael has dark pit-black hair that he keeps into a ridiculously long scalplock tied at the top into a lean, glossy, high ponytail that reaches near his knees. Two eagle feathers, one shorter than the other, resting at angles atop his large ponytail. He has deep natural tan darkened by the sun that seems to be darker than most of his other siblings. Standing at about 6'2" with broad shoulders, a muscular physique, and various scars (most notably a horizontal scratch across his cheeks and bridge of his nose and an X haphazardly sliced into his right shoulder) one glance ought to warn you against going toe-to-toe with this man. He has few tattoos to speak of but one does stand out: the famous snake biting a boot sits across the outside of his left bicep in surprising detail, and if one looks close enough they'll find the tattoo was inked with many small dots.
Cadmael prefers going barechested even in cold weather, though will don a tan short sleeve if the need arises and will wear a coat if winter he's too harsh. He has adopted his younger siblings traditional style of pants though, wearing Native American styled leggings with his own Mayan styled breechcloth. He downright refuses to wear modern clothing and one must note that any shirt he wears when forced is made of buckskin as well.
Cadmael is not much for jewelry, however, he does wear one piece: a necklace made of large jade beads that appears to be two necklaces (though is only one) with the loop hanging down farthest holding a jaguar head pendant also made of jade. This necklace was a gift to him by one of his former kings and ever since he received it he has never taken it off. He wears bandages across his hands, knuckles, wrists, and halfway down his forearm, a habit now due to getting one too many split knuckles in the past.
His usual footwear consists of dark brown strapped sandals that have closed toes recently laced with steel as well as the heel. Cadmael can always be found carrying a thick banded belt around his waist that can support an array of weaponry and has a pouch on the left side for other things as well.

Personality: Stern and tactful yet open-minded and gentle Cadmael was once just as his name suggests, a war leader. Though he knows when to be strict and when to be jovial. As he believes in balancing out job and family. With most he seems strict, to the point, and an all around no-nonsense type of man. But to those who know him well he is caring, fatherly by nature, and is willing to lay down his life for the cares about.
He is the Mayans best and most merciless fighter, and used to be second only to his counterpart, until Hadwin went blind that is. He is able to control his outward emotions well and show you only what he wants you to see. Cautious, versatile, and swift to notice detail he can easily adapt to most any situation in the blink of an eye. An observer by nature he is quick to pinpoint a potential ally from an enemy as well as see through most any deceit. Able to discern what others' mood is by body language alone he is somewhat of a human lie detector, though this approach does not always work.
Cadmael is considered a fatherly figure even to some of his Mayan siblings and stands by that through and through. However, he (along with Chichen Itza and Uxmal) will succumb to his inner child when his own father is around.
Not one for procrastination Cadmael never puts off for later what he can do now. He is also a firm believer in schedules and is always up at the crack of dawn and down when bedtime calls at sunset. And only an emergency situation can get him to break this habit, as he'll even keep to this schedule while on vacation.

History: (editing in process)

Other: It was Cadmael who taught Mazatl most of what he knows about fighting, who in turn taught his younger siblings. His own mentor was Aapo.

He specializes in close combat fighting and has even gained a high tolerance for pain over the millennia.

Cadmael is who Gabor threatened to send the children to if they didn't behave. Though he'd never harm them he would put them to work to teach them a lesson.

He is incapable of performing any form of magic, and is more awed than envious of those who can.

Ever since he was introduced Cadmael has been infatuated with horses. He now not only rides them he breeds them as well and owns a horse farm. They are his main method of travel (though he takes care never to overwork any horse).
