Arther was a heavy smoker. He smoked to drown the sorrows he had when he wasn't drinking. Until Alfred came in his life. He stopped because Al was his cure to the pain he felt. Iggy will never admit it ( the tsundere he is) and say he didn't wan't Al to live unhealthy.
