45. Utah

Nickname: The Beehive State

Human Name: Bridger Young

Age: 17 Years Old

Gender: Male

Historical Background: The region was first explored by the Spanish in 1540, however, it wasn't settled for a long time due to a lack of interest. In 1847, Brigham Young led the first band of Mormons to the Salt Lake Valley. Young proposed the land be called Deseret, but Congress established the Utah Territory instead in 1850. Utah's statehood was delayed to 1896 due to continuous conflicts between Congress and the territory's Mormon inhabitants. After banning polygamy according to its state constitution, Utah was finally admitted to the Union as a state.

Statehood: January 4, 1896 (45th)

Hair Color: Light Blonde

Eye Color: Amber

Height: 5' 9" (175 cm)

Notable Traits: His hair is always kept short and neat. He has a healthy weight and appearance. He typically wears a buttoned white shirt with a tie and slacks. He never curses, oftentimes saying euphemisms like "darn" or "fudge" instead. His navel represents the town of Levan.

Favorite Foods & Drinks: Aggie Blue Mint Ice Cream, Frogeye Salad, Fry Sauce, Funeral Potatoes, Green Jell-O, Honey, Pastrami Cheeseburgers, Pickle Pie, Postum (beverage), Utah Scones

Likes: Honey Bees, Rugby, Scrapbooking, Skiing, Snow

Dislikes: Alcohol, Caffeine, Gambling, Pornography, Tattoos

Personality: Virtuous and Wholesome. Many non-Americans may view him in a positive light for being cheerful, charitable, selfless, and upstanding. Ask any American living outside the state, however, they'll say he's odd—usually in a negative way. His unique religious upbringing is what isolates him from other states. In the past, he has been stigmatized for being brainwashed by a deranged cult of heretics, fueling his skepticism toward outsiders. Nowadays, he has become accepted more or less depending on the person being asked. Either way, he's still teased for his quirks such as his abstinence from coffee and his love for Jell-O; he gets salty whenever polygamy is brought up in a conversation. If there's one thing about him to be annoyed about, it's his strict approach toward subjects he considers taboo that may be seen as normal by others; he can be quite a buzzkill. His sober view on life and morals may seem stringent. Even so, he's willing to work hard to uphold his beliefs of being a clean, educated person.

Trivia:
+ He spent much of his childhood with Brigham Young's family. Though he was mostly closed off from the outside world, he was quite happy living in a larger-than-normal household. That sadly changed after Brigham Young's death, causing the family to split up and go their separate ways.
+ While he still calls himself a Mormon, he has restrained his involvement with the LDS Church in recent years.
+ He'll sometimes feel guilty about drinking soda.
+ He has a YouTube channel dedicated to reviewing independent films and publishing amateur short films.
+ He has the best snow in the world, and nobody can dispute that.
