Chapter 6
"That's one-hundred and five pounds, please." The chashier said.
I folded my arms proudly and let Ludwig pay.
"I was wrong." Ludwig laughed as we walked out of the store. "You can spend that much on sweets."
"Course you were wrong! And besides, we're sharing them later."
"Later? What's with you and later?"
"You sound exasperated." I giggled.
We were in Paperchase, home of stationary and things you don't need, but you'll buy anyways because they're cute. I wasn't particularily looking for anything, but I had already picked up a bunch of notepads, an A3 sketchbook, new pens and pencils, and for some reason, panda shaped highlighters.
"I'm not exasperated." Ludwig chuckled. "But what's later?"
"Netflix and Disney movies, duh!" I giggled, picking up an owl messanger bag. I held it up to Ludwig, who furrowed his brows.
"Do you actually need that or are you impulse buying?" He asked jokingly, arms folded.
"It's cute!" I pouted.
"Yup, definatley impulse buying."
"Hey!" I whined, punching his arm.
"Oh, what's that one my arm? Feels like a fly breathing." The German joked.
I started to hit him repeatedly, as hard as I could, but he didn't even flinch once. Eventually, I gave up, and made a long 'eh' sound, grinding my forhead against his forearm.
"You're buying the bag, then?"
"Yeah! Aww, isn't it so cute, though?" I giggled.
"Okay, you can only get the bag if I pay." Ludwig stated, prodding my forhead.
"That's blackmail!" I whined.
"No, it's called being kind." Ludwig laughed.
Giving in, I shrugged and walked over to the counter, allowing Ludwig to pay. When I got my hands on the bag, I grinned.
"Yay!"
The cashier gave Ludwig something of a knowing look as we walked out. "Have a nice day." She said.
"Ciao!" I waved, then we walked out the door.
"So Disney movies."
I linked arms with Ludwig again, wandering aimlessly around now without an incentive. "Yup!"
"You're so strange. Like, how old are you?"
"18, duh! You know this, silly."
"I think you miss my point."
"Well, you act so responsible all the time. It's like you're an adult."
"Well, I am older than you, Feliciano."
"Only by a little."
"I'm 21."
I stopped. "You are? Then how come..."
"Because I was in the military for two years before coming here. I was escused, decided to go to school and get some A-levels, and now I'm here." Ludwig explained.
"You were in the military?" I gasped,, surprised.
"Yes."
"For two years."
"Yes."
"Wow..." I said thoughtfully. That would explain a lot: the extremely healthy build of the guy, the stoicness, the freakilly clean room...
"I don't see what's so amazing about it." Ludwig sighed.
"It's just coz I could never do something like that! And, well, you're older than me..." I muttered the last part, blushing a little.
"Your point being?" Ludwig asked, bewildered.
"Nothing, nothing. Just... explains a lot?" I made it up on the spot.
He was older than me. Ludwig was older than me. It was... perfect! I let my mind drift off again, to the fact that he was older, probably more experienced... I could just imagine him, stoic expression and all, with his perfect, muscular, body grinding against mine, his hand firmly on my waist...
"Feli? Uh, hello, earth to Feliciano!" I blinked once, twice.
Slap.
Wait, did I just slap myself? Oops, that was meant to be mental...
"What? Yeah, hi, I'm here!" I stuttered, clearing my throat and standing up straight.
"You've gone bright red..." Ludwig mutteted, brows furrowed. "Are you okay?"
Slowly, he put the back of his hand to my head and neck. I swallowed a lump in my throat. "You don't have a fever do you?" He questioned.
I felt my legs weaken, and I almost felt like I was about to fall, when I broken out of my trance by a loud Italian shout.
"Vaffanculo, bastardo!" Is all I heard, but without even turning to look I already knew who it was.
My eyes widened and I grabbed Ludwig's wrist, panicked. "Is the guy that shouted coming towards us?" I asked Ludwig, still to worried to turn around.
"No... he's walking away from someone?" Ludwig said, peering over the top of my head. "Why?"
"That's Lovi. No. Lovino. My brother, my extremeley angry over protective brother and unless you don't want to be castrated I'd move your hand before he sees us."
"Oh... okay." Ludwig dropped his hand.
"C'mon, let's follow him!" And with that I pulled the German alongside me, following after my brother and this new stranger.
-----------------------------------
"When I said 'don't follow me' which part didn't you get?" I heard an angry Lovino shout.
"The bit where you said don't?" A taller, tanned, and rather handsome guy joked, throwing his arm around Lovi.
Meanwhile, Lovino made a sound that sounded halfway between a growl and a gasp.
"Don't fucking touch me you fucking tomato pisslord." He spat, slapping the taller's away. I almost saw him shrink into his jacket, and I could see the blush creeping onto his cheeks.
"Pfft, he is so into him." I heard Ludwig say next to me, and I had to fight the urge to laugh.
Suddenly, an idea sparked into my mind, and I pulled out my phone and turned to Ludwig.
"Watch this." I giggled, and winked at him. He could have blushed, but I wasn't sure.
I searched my contacts for Lovi, found him and pressed call.
In the distance, I heard Lovi's phone go off, and he answered it. I put him on speajer so Ludwig could hear.
"What do you want?" He spat.
I cleared my throat, theb stifled a giggle. "Is that Toni?" I asked innocently.
"Wha-? Where the fuck are you?!" Lovi said frantically.
Ludwig covered his mouth with his hand and watched as Lovi spun around, looking for me.
"You'll find out soon enough. All you have to is follow my instructions."
"Why should I, fucking idiot?"
"I have a lot of embarrasing stories about you, fratello. You wouldn't want Toni to know about them."
"That's blackmail!" Lovino shouted, exasperated.
"No, it's called getting you a boyfriend."
"Oh my fucking God." Lovino sighed. I saw him giving a sideways glance at Toni, befire he slipped into Italian.
"I don't like him." He muttered.
"Yeah, you do like him." I subtly translated for Ludwig.
"No, no, no. Oh mio dio, you fucking idiot..." It was hilarious, he kept slipping in and out of the two languages. Finally, he settled on Italian.
"What do you want me to do?" He muttered.
"What I want you to do," I translated. "Is flirt with him."
"No. No fucking way."
I sighed. "Then, at least let him flirt with you."
"Why? Oh, you motherfucker. I swear to motherfucking God when I see you next..."
"I'm getting you a boyfriend! Be happy! Oh, and I'll be following you, by the way, so if you see me keep you're mouth shut."
"You're fucking insane."
"Toni's staring at you longingly right now, so want you to hang up and go talk to him."
"I fucking hate you, fratello."
"I love you too!" I cheered happily, then hung up.
