Okay, so I absolutely adore Hunter Schafer and I have two characters that I plan on having her face claim for. Elora in the eventual rewrite of Fae in the Fire and a Forbes sibling for a potential Vampire Diaries fanfic. For those of you who don't know who Hunter is: she's a trans (mtf) actress who played the character Jules in HBO's Euphoria.

The problem comes in with that Elora isn't trans. She literally has to be a girl because of the Fae in the Fire lore and she's Eve's mirror and Eve is a girl. Ya know. So I'm like, "am I erasing her identity by having her play a cis character?" But on the other hand if non-gay and non-trans actors and actresses can play gay and/or trans characters why can't it go the other way around? Ya know. 

But I also feel like a hypocrite cause I did a whole thing a little bit ago and got into a minor debate with someone about how Victoria Justice shouldn't be cast to play the twin of Nina Dobrev's character in The Vampire Diaries because Nina Dobrev (and the entire Gilbert family) are white while Victoria Justice is Puerto Rican and I said it was whitewashing Victoria (because it is).

Anyways, I'm conflicted. I could always find someone else to play Elora but I think Hunter is perfect and IDK what to do. Help.
