5. Still, hear them out

⚠️Trigger Warning: mention of suicide thoughts⚠️

Hello, Beautiful People! We hope you're having a wonderful day, and that you started off this week in the best possible conditions.

Time for our fifth episode of HerStory. The submissions are anonymous, so we have no way to reach out to our guest; however, we sincerely thank them for taking part into this project, and we hope they will soon come across this.

The story we're featuring today is about toxic relationships. Being with the wrong person can sometimes leave deep scars. We hope anyone dealing with a toxic relationship soon finds the strength to get out of it, and maybe the first step is hearing out your relative's opinion.

I was in a long term relationship with my girlfriend (I'm a female) for about 1.5 years on and off. It was a very stressful and energy consuming situation, but somehow she always knew how to make it seem like she was the only one who cared.

There was an incident where she texted in a group chat of friends and said that she was going to end it. This happened right after a close friend of mine had passed away unexpectedly. I was calling her and she wouldn't answer, or she would and hang up immediately after. Now anytime someone texts me abruptly and then doesn't answer their phone I think that they might try to commit.

It gave me serious trauma but we still stayed together for 4 months until I broke it off. Now I'm happier then ever because I listened to my friends who were looking out for me.

Basically what I'm saying is if everyone around you says that you should be with a person you should at least hear them out and think over your relationship because it could stop you from wasting your time and finding someone better.
