Heroes of Townsville: Chapter 6

(Kaoru's P.O.V.)
I woke up without an alarm, wierd. It's still 5:30 AM. School won't start for another two hours and thirty minutes.

"I guess I'll leave early today.", I said to myself whilst walking to the boring old shower.

5:45 AM

After fifteen minutes, I walked out of the shower and just threw out random clothes and wore it. It's too early to go to school at this time, so I decided to go to the park.

5:55

I arrived at the park and I sat on the swing. After a while I saw Kintaro, the kid I saved yesterday. He was practicing soccer. Not to be mean to the little kid but... he was terrible at soccer! So I walked up to him to teach him how to play properly.

"Hey there kid!", I said.

"Hi, uhh, who are you?" Kintaro asked bobbing his head to the side.

"Oh, right," I scratch the back of my head, "I'm Kaoru. I see you play soccer. What's your name?" I asked him even though I already know who he is because, duh, he doesn't know that I'm Buttercup.

"My name is Kintaro," he grinned.

"Nice name, kid. So, hey, ya want me to coach you in soccer?" I asked.

"Sorry, Kaoru-nee, but I already have a coach," Kintaro said as he sweatdropped.

"Nah, it's alright kid, less work for me, am I right?" I joked. Then I mumbled, "Whoever his coach is, he must be terrible at soccer or just a terrible teacher."

"Oh, there he is now!" Kintaro yelled. I turned to the direction he was looking at and saw Butch waving at him.

"Why are you here?" I asked while glaring at Butch.

"I'm here to coach this little kid soccer," he said then he patted Kintaro's head.

"You play soccer?" I asked.

"I play many sports, pretty flowerbutt," he said then he whispered in my ear, "I am your counterpart after all."

I was surprised so I tried to punch him right in the face but he caught my fist.

"Too slow Kao-chan~" he said while smirking.

"Only because I didn't want to hit you too hard, fiddo," I said looking away.

"Aww, I knew you care about me," he said as he patted my head, like wtf? Is he trying to get hurt, or something?

"Only because I don't want the kid to see too much blood and guts," I said while crossing my arms. Then I grabbed his arm and kicked him in the gut. "And now I change my mind."

I laughed, but then I saw a tick mark on his forehead wich probably means he's angry or annoyed. He just groaned then sighed, and asked Kintaro if he would like to start practicing.

(Katsumoto/Butch's P.O.V.)

"Only because I didn't want the kid to see too much blood and guts," she said. Then she suddenly kicked me in my stomach. Man! This girl sure knows how to kick! She then laughed. I became angry because of this, but this is what I get for annoying her. I just sighed and turned to Kintaro and asked, "You want to start practiceing?".

"Sure, Katsumoto- nii!", he said so I started teaching him about soccer.

(Kaoru's P.O.V.)

"Sure, Katsumoto-nii!" Kintaro said.

Oh, yeah, Butch is called Katsumoto now. I guess I need to get used to using that name, unless I want to blurt out his identity, but it's not like I'll be addressing him very much, either. Sure, we're going to the same school, but there's still a chance that we'll be in different classes, unless the mayor fidled with the class line ups again. But now that I think about it, oh geez.

I looked back over to Kinataro and Katsumoto. Katsumoto grabbed the soccer ball and he taught Kintaro the rules. Then Katsumoto started showing him some techniques on how to kick the ball. Then they started playing soccer. Ugh, as much as it hurts my pride, I must admit, Katsumoto's pretty good at soccer, not as good as me, though, nyehe. Woah, hold on a minute, is it just me or is Kintaro suddenly good at soccer?

After an hour they finished playing. Kintaro was soaking wet but Katsumoto looks like he didn't even play. I looked at my phone and saw that it is already 7:20 AM. I stood up from the swing and I started walking to school.

"Whoa, where are you going?" I heard Katsumoto say.

"To school, why?", I said looking back at him.

"Then I guess I'll go to school with you," then he walked next to me.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked looking at him.

"Uh, I think it's called walking, my dear," he said sarcastically and smirked.

"Ugh, whatever. It's still early you know." I said.

"I don't wake up early to be late for school, Kaoru," he said.

"Argh! I told you not to act familiar with me, doofus," I said angered.

"Then what do you want me to do? It's not like you have that much of a choice but to get along with me," he shrugged, "We're basically stuck with each other from now on, anyway, so why don't we just establish that we're together forever, eh, Kao-chan?"

'What... The... Hell is he saying?!', I thought to myself. I shot a looked at him, but as soon as he looked back at me, I just, I don't know, I felt hot on my neck, face, and ears. Oh man, why the hell am I blushing?! He should be the one embarrassed, he's the one that said stupid things. The worst part about this situation is that he doesn't even realise a thing about what he just said, like, wtf?!

"W-well, I mean, i-it's not like that... u-unless you'd actually be interested in someone l-like me... Uhh... I'll just stop talking now," Katsumoto stuttered as he finally realized what he said then looked away.

"Yeah," I said and also looked to the other direction as an awkward silence befell upon us.

"So, uhh, how about we change the deal?" I said. "Yeah, that's it. Good move Kaoru."

"Hmm? What do you mean?" he said looking at me straight in the eyes.

"This feels so wierd, I've got to do something before this becomes awkward.", I thought so I....

(Katsumoto's P.O.V.)

I just asked 'what do you mean?' then looked at her straight in the eyes, and what does she do? She slaps me right in the face! I stumbled back but regained my balance. I looked at her, she looks angry but has a tint of pink on the cheeks.

"So I can make her blush? Yeah! What an achievement!", I thought.

"Stop staring at me!" she yelled angrily.

"Why? You look..... cute," I said feeling my face get a little hot. "No, don't blush Katsumoto. Don't blush. Don't."

I guess I can't stop blood from going up to my face. Ugh, I am so not smooth today.

"Whatever," she said blushing. Then a very awkward silence came once again. Kaoru broke the silence when she talked.

"So, umm, about the new deal.", she said.

"Yeah, you said you wanted to change it," I said.

"Nah, I changed my mind."

"Hey Kao- Oh so you two walked together I see," someone said from behind. We turned around and saw that it was Momoko.

"Hey Pinky! I told you to waaiiit.... sooooo,  you can make Kaoru walk with you? Nice bro," Brick/Momotaro said while smirking.

"Yeah dude, good job on not getting killed by her on your way here."

"Gah! Where did you come from?" I asked Miyazaki/Boomer.

"He picked me up from my house," Miyako giggled.

"Hehe. It's a funny story actually,"

~ Flashback ~ (Miyazaki's P.O.V)

Today I decided to walk with Miyako 'cause I don't know where the school is but I know where her house is. Why? Well it's because I sometimes stalk her when she goes home not noticing me. What? Is it wrong to follow her around or something? It probably is but, whatever...

(Katsumoto's P.O.V.)

"Wait, dude, you stalk her?" Brick said trying to hold back his laugh.

"Y- yeah," Miyazaki said then he instantly turned red. Then Miyako comforted Miyazaki.

"It's alright Miyazaki, I already know from the beginning of that you were following me," she said.

"So that's why you always leave immediately after practice from the lab.", I said.

"Anyway.", Kaoru said impatiently waiting for him to continue his story.

"Oh yeah, then I arrived at her home then...."

~Flashback~ (Back to Miyazaki's P.O.V.)

I am now infront of Miyako's house (gulp).... infront of her huge gate (gulp)...... I'm about to ring the doorbell (gulp)....
The moment my skin touched the doorbell, I became red and thought of what she might say to me. What if she doesn't want to go with me? Well she might say....

"Me (Miyazaki): I'm sorry to bother you Miya-chan but, can I walk to school with you Miya-chan?

Miyako: Do you really think I would go to school with a puny like you?

Me: Well I just want to-

Miyako: I don't care what you want to do, just stay away from me freak."

Or she might say.....

"Miyako: Who is it? *opens the gate* oh, it's just you. What do you want?

Me: I was just wondering if you could walk with me to school. I don't know the way.

Miyako: Are you kidding me? No way I will be seen in school with the weakest Rowdyruff boy.

Me: But I-

Miyako: *Shuts the gate*"

"No, no, no. She would never do that.", I said while hitting myself. Calm down Boomer, always look at the bright side....

"Miyako: *opens the gate* Oh nice to see you here Miyazaki.

Me: Can we go to school together Miyako?
Miyako: Sure, Miyazaki! Come let's run away forever and live happily ever after!"

Yeah! That's it! Now I will go knock on the gate. Before I could knock I heard someone said, "Nice impersonation of me Zaki-kun!".

"Aahh! How long have you been here?!", I said then I jumped back surprised by Miyako.

"Oh! Sorry to surprise you. I've been here for about five minutes or so waiting for you to walk with me." Miyako apologized.

"Was I saying that out loud?!", I said. Then.....

(Kaoru's P.O.V.)

Momoko, Momotaro, Katsumoto, and I were already walking away. His flashback was not worth listening to.

"Hey! Guys, come back here! I'm not finished with my story yet!" we heard Miyazaki yell.

"Sorry dude but what happened to you this morning is more boring than watching discovery channel focused on a monkey's butt!", Katsumoto yelled back.

"And besides, you've got Miyako there to listen to your story!" Momoko yelled. Miyako started comforting Miyazaki.

"Do you guys have your schedules?", I asked them then they said yeah and they showed us their schedules.

"Ummm, I think the mayor has something to do with this," Momoko said staring at their schedules.

"He always has something to do with things like this," I groaned. Both of us sighed not happy about what we saw.

"What's wrong?", Momotaro asked us.

"Nothing. Here are your schedules," Momoko said and she handed them their schedules and we started walking to class.

"Momoko! Kaoru! Wait up!" Miyako shouted while running towards us. We stopped to let her catch up. Once she caught up with us we started walking to class. The three of us have all our classes together so that we won't have trouble finding each other when we need to transform and also because the mayor said so.

"Hey, what's wrong?", Miyako asked us.

"It's just that.... ugh! WHY DO WE HAVE THE SAME CLASSES AS THEM?!" I said shouting the last sentence while tugging my hair.

"We do?! I mean... it can't be that bad," Miyako said and sweatdropped.

"I hope so. Come on, let's get to class or we're gonna be late," Momoko said. We checked the time and saw it's already 7:56.

"Four minutes 'till class starts!", I said so we started running to class.

(Katsumoto's P.O.V.)

Momoko gave us our schedules back then they walked away.

"What's up with them?", Momotaro asked.

"Don't know.", I said shrugging. We heard Blondie shout something then she caught up to them. After that we heard Miyazaki.

"Yo dudes! Wait up!"

When Miyazaki caught up to us we heard Kaoru yell.

"WHY DO WE HAVE THE SAME CLASSES AS THEM?!".

"Who is she talking about?" Momotaro asked. I slapped the back of his head.

"They're obviously talking about us peabrain," I said. He was about to fight with me when we heard millions of really loud stomping, like millions of gladiators are about to attack us.

"Umm, guys, we better start running!", Miyazaki yelled.

"Why the hell should we-" I looked at where the loud stomps are coming from. It was so terrifying I shouted, "holy f*ck*ng sh*t!".

"Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!"
