Heroes of Townsville: Chapter 3

(Kaoru's P.O.V. )

Riiiing! Riiiing! Riiing!

"Kaoru wake up or you'll be late for school!", Dai shouted while banging loudly on the door.

"Alright, alright! I'm up! Geez no need to be so loud!", I said sleepily.

"Ugh, just get your butt downstairs and eat breakfast!" Dai groaned then left.

I looked at my alarm clock and saw that It's 7:49, oh 7:49.....

"Ahhh! I'm late!", I panicked realizing what time it is. I took the quickest shower imaginable. I wore my clothes and ran downstairs, I grabbed a banana and an apple from the counter and opened the door, then suddenly....

"What the heck?! Why the hell is it still dark outside?!", I yelled.

"Kaoru! Watch your language!" I suddenly heard Mom yell.

They all came downstairs.

"Kaoru, what are you doing up so early?" my dad said while yawning. My dad is a professional wrestler, so if it was Dai that is in my situation right now, my dad could've broken every bone in his body.

"Yeah sis, it's only 3:00 in the morning", Shou whined. I saw Dai snickering so I gave him a death glare and he just shrugged it off. I got up to my room and tried to sleep again.

"Ugh!" I groaned. Great! Now I can't sleep thanks to that demon spawn I call my 'brother'.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

At least I have something to do. I opened my compact and saw that it was Miyako that called me.
"Hey, what's up?" I yawned.

"I just saw Sedusa throwing cars around near my house! Please call Momoko and tell her what happened, quick!" Miyako said in panic.

"Alright chill. We'll be right there," I said trying to calm her down. I ended the call then called Momoko.

"Kaoru? What are you doing up so early in the morning?" Momoko answered the compact while yawning.

"Geez, you sound a lot like my brother. Just stop whining and transform," I said quickly.

"What? What's going on?" Momoko's eyes widened.

"Whatever, no time to explain. We'll meet near Miyako's house," I said.

"Okay," she said while yawning one more time. After that, I closed my compact and transformed.

"Powered Buttercup!"

I flew quickly to Miyako's house. When I got there I saw Bubbles trapped by Sedusa's hair.

"Gravitation Drive!"

I attacked Sedusa to free Bubbles. Once my attack hit her she let go of Bubbles.

"Thanks. Where's Blossom?" Bubbles asked.

"Hmm, don't know. She should be here by now," I said looking around trying to find Blossom.

"Buttercup! Look out!" Bubbles suddenly shouted.

"Cherry Yo-yo Shot!"

"What took you so long?", Bubbles asked while hugging Blossom.

"Well... I guess you could say that the 'bed monster' got the best of me," Blossom said while scratching the back of her head. I cleared my throat for them to know I'm still there.

"Don't worry Buttercup. We know you're there," Bubbles said in a cheerful voice.

"Well sorry for breaking up your little 'reunion', but you two do know we're in the middle of a fighting scene right?" I asked while pointing behind me where Sedusa is at.

"Stop chitter chattering and fight!" Sedusa growled.

"You want a fight, you'll get a fight," I said while raising my hammer.

"Swing Sonic!"

My attack hit her, but it didn't do much damage.

"What the hell!? You should be flying off to space right now!" I yelled clearly shocked.

"I'll try to attack!" Bubbles said and used her bubble wand.

"Bubbles Champagne!"

A lot of bubbles came Sedusa's way but she popped every single one of the bubbles.

"Ha! Did you really think that some bubbles are gonna hurt me?!" she growled.

"Take this on for size!" Blossom yelled.

"Spinning Yo!"

"Ow! Alright, that does it!" Sedusa said then grabbed us with her hair and smashed us to the wall. I became dizzy because of the impact. Then I felt their auras again, but this time, stronger.

I only saw the color of their auras but not their faces because my vision is blurry, but I saw what they're doing. The one with red aura punched Sedusa in the face, then the one with a blue aura pushed her to the ground, but before she hit the ground the one with the green aura kicked her so hard, Sedusa was probably sent to the moon. After that they ran in an inhuman speed, and a few seconds later our vision cleared up and we regained our balance and flew home.

When I got to my house, I flew through my bedroom window quietly and undid my transformation. I looked at my alarm clock to see that it was 4:30.

"Hmm, 4:30 is still too early for me to wake up. I have to think of something to do," I thought. Then I saw my skateboard so I decided to go to the skate park and skate for a while. I wrote a note that says that I left early and that I'm going to eat breakfast with Momoko and Miyako and left it on the counter.
I left and skated all the way to the skate park. When I got there I saw that no one else is there so I felt free to skate. I did a few tricks and I felt a little tired so, I sat on a bench. I looked at my watch and saw that it's already 5:30. I stood up and started skating to the lab, but before I could exit the skate park I heard a voice but I ignored it.

"Wait!" I heard that same voice again, only louder. I turned around and saw a boy who looks my age and is about two inches taller than me wearing a dark green shirt that says 'Best Sk8r' with an unzipped black jacket over it, blue ripped jeans and green and black sneakers. I couldn't see his face because he was looking at the ground.

"You're Kaoru Matsubara right?" he asked.

"How do you know my name? Are you some kind of stalker?!" I freaked out, sort of.

"Well I kind of hear some people talking about you here saying that you are a great skater," he said calmly.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

" I'm Katsumoto Akatsuji," He said calmly. There's something familiar about him, like the way he said his name and something else, I just can't put my finger on it.

"So, what do you want from me huh?", I asked him.

"I'm here to challenge you in skateboarding!", he said confidently.

"Alright, meet me here tomorrow at 4 PM. Loser buys what the winner wants," I told him just to get this over with. We shook our hands on it and we parted ways. I looked at my watch again and saw that it's already 6:00.

"Great! Now Momoko and Miyako will be mad at me fot being late, thanks to that Katsumoto guy," I said while avoiding the people in my way.

After 20 minutes, I got to the lab panting. I walked to the door of the lab to open it, but before I could touch the door, a little midget in a lab coat opened it then groaned when he saw me.

"You're late," he said.

"I know," I said then I walked right past him and ignored everything he is saying to me right now.
I went to the living room and saw Blossom tapping her foot impatiently with Bubbles right beside her with a worried look. They were already transformed.

"Care to explain why you're late?" said the she devil named Blossom.

"Nah, not really. But since you look worried, I'll tell you", I said then explained what happened at the skate park.
Blossom and Bubbles looked relieved when I said that I didn't get hurt but then looked worried again.

"Did you just say, you accepted a challenge from a stranger?!" Blossom said while freaking out.

"Yeah, what if that stranger does something to hurt you?" said Bubbles.

"No, I mean, you don't know him so, you don't know if he's good at skateboarding or not. He might even beat you at your own game!" Blossom said.

"Oh, that makes sense," Bubbles said while nodding with her eyes closed, I sweat dropped at her idiocy. Then I transformed getting ready to go investigating.

"Powered Buttercup!"

"So, are you ready?" asked Blossom.

"Hell yeah I am!" I said.

"Alright then, let's go investigating!", Bubbles said while punching the air.

"Alright here's the plan. I will be investigating the south side of the city, Bubbles in the north, and Buttercup in the west. If one of us finished with her side first she should investigate the east side of the city," Blossom explained.

"Okay", said Bubbles and I. Then we flew to where we are said to investigate.
I got to the west side of the city where our school, the park, and some alleys where gangsters hang out are. I went to the school first. I flew around the school campus. At first I was doing good with no one seeing me and all, but then students came rushing to the school building not because they are late, but because some kid shouted, "Hey! Buttercup is here at school!". The students came around me wanting my autograph when I saw Himeko running away with her cat in her arms. She and her cat felt different. Both of them have super powerful dark auras. I have a bad feeling about this. And everyone turned around when they heard a cat screaming.

"Hey everyone look! Princess is here at school!" Princess yelled to get the students' attention.

Everyone ignored her and went back to where I was.

"Why won't you people look at me?" Princess shouted and closed her fists tightly causing her cat to scream really loud in a VERY high pitch making all the glasses shatter. Everyone ran away screaming.

"What now Princess?!", I asked her annoyed. Seriously! One villain starts attacking at 3 o'clock in the morning and 3 hours later another one attacks?!

"You took away MY audience! And now, I'm going to take them back!" she growled.

"Oh yeah?! How?!", I asked her. Then she said something that made me regret asking.

"By singing!", she said taking out her mic. But, I have to tell, she's not bad. It's a NIGHTMARE! No, it's even worse than a nightmare! Her singing is like hell!

"Hyper Sonic Swing!"

She dodged my attack.

"Hey! What did you do that for?!" she yelled.

"For you to shut the hell up!", I snapped. She became really red and growled. "Stop your growling! Now go home doggy!"

I think I pissed her off! Then an evil smile grew on on my face.

"I am not a dog! I am a princess! I do not deserve to be called a dog! I am too beautiful to be cal-"

"Grand Slam!"

Then she got hit and flew to the sky shouting, "I'll be baaaaack!" until she twinkled into the sky.

"Ugh! She was so annoying!" I groaned. Then everyone came out of their hiding spots and cheered, "Buttercup!" over and over. After that I flew to the park and saw that everything was normal until music filled the air. Wait I recognize that sound. It's....
