Heroes of Townsville: Chapter 11

(Kaoru's P.O.V.)

Man, after the skateboarding competition me and Katsumoto had on Wednesday I couldn't help but feel that the boys really have changed. Oh, and I remembered last night when I arrived home my brothers began teasing me when I explained, well, Shou did, Dai was more like angry and glaring at nothing. I guess he saw Katsumoto walk me home and when he's out of the area Dai kept on pestering me on about why I shouldn't get a boyfriend. I seriously don't know what he's talking about but I hope it's not about Katsumoto walking me home. Why won't he just mind his own business? I mean, he pulls pranks on me all the time and it's like when he saw Katsumoto near me he finally acted like a big brother. Whatever, I don't care about what he thinks.

I've been laying on my bed staring at the ceiling this whole time. I wasn't at school. Why? Stupid question. Because it was a Saturday. Then suddenly I heard my phone ring. I reached for my phone beside me on the bed and saw that I got a text message from Momoko. It says:

Hey Kaoru! ~Momoko

Hey, what's up? ~Kaoru

Do you know that today is a holiday? ~Momoko

Momoko, it's a Saturday. I wouldn't know if it's a holiday unless the school says that we won't have classes. No, in short. ~Kaoru

Well it is a holiday today and we will be joining in it's festivities. ~Momoko

Well care to enlighten me about this holiday and it's so called 'festivities'? ~Kaoru

It's Halloween today! And you know what that means. ~Momoko

Actually, no I don't know what that means.~Kaoru

There will be lots of candy and sweets, dum dum! ~Momoko

Please don't tell me you still go trick or treating on Halloween. ~Kaoru

Why? It's fun! Getting free candy just by asking! Anyway meet us at the lab right now. ~Momoko

Whatever. Ok, I'll see you at the lab. ~Kaoru

Why do we meet up at the lab all the time, anyway? There's lots of other places to go. Oh well, better get ready. Oh, it looks like I don't have to get ready. I already took a shower earlier and I'm already dressed so, I just told my family that I have something to take care of and I grabbed my skateboard and walked out the house. I started skating after walking a few blocks away from the house. I arrived at the lab in no time. I wonder what the problem is this time.

I entered the lab, walked the hallway, and entered the lab's living room. Momoko, Miyako, and the Rowdyruff Boys were there.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked.

"Oh, hi there Kaoru!", Miyako greeted me cheerfully.

"It's because you got in trouble with the professor, Kaoru," Katsumoto said.

"Haha, very funny.", I replied sarcastically, "Why are we really called here?".
"The professor has something he needs help with." Momotaro answered.

"And what is that?" I asked.
"Don't know." Miyazaki shrugged.

"Oh! So I see that all of you are already here.", I heard the professor's voice say. Then the professor walked in front of us.

"How would we be of assistance to you, professor?", Momoko asked nicely.

"Mr. Mayor and I decided to have a Halloween party here at the lab and I need the six of you to help me get this place ready before the party starts," the professor said.

"What time does the party start?" Miyako asked.

"The party will start at 8:00 pm and will end at 12:00 am." he said.

"Well then that shouldn't be a problem. It's still 1:35 pm so we've still got like six hours and twenty minutes to get this place ready," Momotaro said.

"We've actually got six hours and twenty-five minutes before the party starts.", Katsumoto corrected him.

"Whatever," Momotaro said in a bored tone.

"Can we transform so that we can finish faster?" I asked. The professor nodded meaning we could so the six of us transformed.

"Hyper Blossom!"

"Rolling Bubbles!"

"Powered Buttercup!"

"Powerpuff Girls Z!"

"Hard Brick!"

"Explosive Boomer!"

"Strong Butch!"

"Rowdyruff Boys Z!"

"Now let's get to work!" Blossom said.

"I know what to do.", I mumbled in a very inaudible manner. First, we started putting all the things where it should be and cleaned up the place which is surprisingly very clean despite how big the lab is. I mean, how does the professor clean this when he's only with his ten year old son and a small robot dog? Oh well, doesn't matter. Next we decided on what colors should we use for the decorations. We agreed on using the colors red, orange, and black. Then we were assigned to do our work by goups. Boomer and Bubbles are going to make the decorations since they're good at crafting stuff. Me and Butch are the ones that will put the decorations to where we are told, or bossed, to put it. And Blossom and Brick will be the ones to organize things (telling the greens where to put stuff and then changing their minds and tell them to put it somewhere else, telling the blues that the design they made is wrong and demand them to make changes here and there, and bossing everyone else) since bossing people around is what they are good at.

"Move it to your left.... a little more..... woah! Not too much! Move it down a little.... little more...... alright now mo- What the! Bubbles, that fake blood is too watery and those spiders have ridiculously long legs.", Blossom said bossing us around. Damn, will this girl ever shut up? I looked over at Butch to see if he was having a better time with his brother, he had no such luck, his situation is no better than mine.

"Put that over there.... no, I change my mind, place that over here.... oh no wait..... don't rush me! Boomer! You spelled 'Halloween' wrong! It should be spelled as H-A-L-O-W-I-N! Butch! Stick those spiders at the wall over there.... no there!", Brick kept on nagging and I'm pretty sure Butch is about to blow up. This is gonna be fun to watch.

"How would you feel if I just stick it up your ass?! You kept on changing your mind on one thing and bossing us around! Oh, and FYI Halloween is spelled as H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N, dimwitted bossy pants!", Butch snapped at his brother. Hahaha! The look on Brick's face was priceless!

"So what? I've still got a weapon against you," Brick glared.

"You wouldn't.", Butch said as he too started glaring daggers at his brother.

"Try me!". Brick knew that Butch was much stronger than him, at least physically, and probably scared by Butch's glare cause he flinched when Butch glared so he gave up.

"Alright! Fine, you win this time.", Brick said with both his hands up in defeat.

"Okay, everything is set up and ready for the party!" Blossom announced. We cheered and sat down to relax.

"Wow, so it looks like everything is ready for the party," the professor said looking around. I looked over at the wall clock and saw that it was 6:30.

"Wow, it took us a lot of time to get this place ready for the party even when we were transformed," I said.

"Oh, and I almost forgot, the mayor requested for the PPGZ and RRBZ to be at the party," the professor said. We all said okay. Then we got ready for the party. We were requested to come to the party in our PPGZ and RRBZ transformation so we'll just go transformed wearing animal ears for our costume. Me and Butch are wearing wolf ears, Bubbles and Boomer are wearing bunny ears, and Blossom and Brick are wearing cat ears. After 30 minutes the mayor came in with Miss Bellum.

"Wow! This place looks spooktacular!", the mayor said amazed by how the lab looked. Spooktacular? That isn't even a real word!

"The guests will arrive in about 1 hour, is everything ready?" miss Bellum asked.
"It sure is!" Blossom said.

"Oh, I almost forgot, the PPGZ and RRBZ will be presented as a special guest.", Miss Bellum said.

"Okay, we can live with that," Brick said.

"There will also be other special guests," the mayor said. This made me curious so I asked who.

"You'll meet them later when they arrive in about 20 minutes. In the meantime I will be walking around the lab to see if something needs to be adjusted," the mayor said, then he walked away with Miss Bellum following close behind. After 20 long and boring minutes they came back.

"The special guests should be here any minute," the professor said while looking at his watch. Then we saw 6 cars park at the lab.... wait, are those limousines?!

"How frickin' rich are these special guests of yours?! I mean, that's a limousine!" I asked. Blossom stared at the people that got out of the limousines and she looks like she remembers them.

"I know I've seen them somewhere, but where?" Blossom asked.

"They're going to have to rest for a while. You can meet them later at the party," the professor said.

"Okay!"

"Oh! The guests will arrive soon! Get ready to welcome them in. Here is the list of guests.", the professor said and he handed Blossom the list. We went outside and waited in front of the lab for guests. A few minutes later a few people dressed like vampires arrived and Bubbles greeted them.

"Welcome to the Halloween party!"

"We hope you enjoy!" Boomer said, then all of us bowed.

"Wow! What nice children they are!" woman said.

"Are these THE Powerpuff Girls Z and Rowdyruff Boys Z? I thought the Rowdyruffs were little hooligans and now they decided to be good, am I correct?", the man with her said.

"You are right sir," Brick said. The both of them smiled and entered the lab. After like two minutes guests were suddenly arriving rapidly until no other guests arrived. I looked at the list and it looks like everyone is here so we went inside. When we were just about to walk in a girl arrived.

"Well aren't you going to welcome us, peasants?" she said. This isn't just any girl, it's.....

"In case you didn't know, which is very unlikely, we are the Shirogane family.", the man with them said. Why did they have to come here?

"Too bad, Buttercup. It's you and Butch's turn to greet the guests.", Blossom said teasingly.

"Ugh! Fine!", I said and I turned around slowly forcing a smile on my face.

"Why did it have to be me?", Butch said with a depressed sigh. Then I remembered about the list. Butch must also have thought of that and he said,"I'm sorry (totally not sorry) but the Shirigana-". Then Miko cleared her throat cutting him off and she corrected him and said, "Shirogane.".

"Yeah, yeah, whatever your oh so fancy family name is, it's not on the list.", I said waiting for them to walk away. Then Himeko suddenly snatched the list from Bubbles out of nowhere and started reading every name written on it. Bubbles gasped.

"Please give that back." she said.

"Not until I find our family name 'Shirogane' here," Himeko said.

"And why would you think that the Shirogane family will be in that list?" Boomer interrupted.

"Because we contributed to thi-", she looked up and said, "Oh, who is this cutie over here?".

Is she looking at Boomer?! Haha! What the hell?

(Butch's P.O.V.)

Wait, let me get this straight, if we are not not transformed she likes me and when we're transformed she likes Boomer. Then I guess Brick is the lucky one. Why can't she just like another b*tchy and rich bimbo boy who is exactly like her instead of liking me and Boomer?! Brick's lucky the clown girl doesn't take interest in him.

(Back to Buttercup's P.O.V.)

So she likes Boomer now? I just can't understand crazy girls. This scene is just too familiar. Okay, so this is the part when she flirts with him.

"So what's your name, sweetie?", she says approaching Boomer. See? Told you this scene is familiar.

"So I guess this is the part where the guy will look grossed out of his mind.", Blossom said with eyes widened and fixed on them.

"The guy (Boomer) already looked grossed out the second she came here," I said.

"B-Boomer.", Boomer said backing up and trying to stay away from her.

"That is a cute name for a hottie like you.", Himeko said seductively and went WAY closer to him and getting in his personal space.

"And this is where the guy's girl will explode and let her anger out on Himeko ready for a cat fight," I said.

"What are you talking about?" Bubbles asked.

"Wait, shouldn't you be behind Boomer?", Blossom asked confused.

"I just went inside the lab to ask the professor if the Shirogane family is invited in the party," Bubbles said.

"And, what did he say?" I asked.

"Unfortunately the Shirogane family IS invited in the Halloween party.", Bubbles said sadly. Blossom groaned at this news.

"Well then we have no choice but to let them in. But before we do that I think you should see that first...", I pointed at Himeko about to kiss Boomer. Bubbles looked at the direction I was pointing at and at first she had an expressionless face and I guess it dawned on her because she suddenly became red, not red because of embarrassment but red because of anger for Himeko swelling up inside of her and becoming bigger and she is going to let it out in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....

"What the heck is wrong with you?!", Bubbles said letting her anger out while walking over to them, "What the hell are you doing to my Boomer?!".

"Wow, I never knew she had it in her.", Blossom said astonished.

"Me neither," I said.

"Who are you to claim Boomer as yours?!", Himeko shouted at Bubbles.

"That is none of your business! So go in the party now unless you and your family want to be literally kicked out of here, got it?!" Bubbles yell.

"C-Come on dear daughters, we don't want to anger them any longer," Mrs. Shirogane said, then they walked in the lab.

"Well that was a lot of drama. Let's just get in there 'cause I think that's the last of them and it's getting chilly out here. Could I do the honor of escorting you in the party?", Brick said holding a hand out to Blossom.

"Sure!" Blossom said taking his hand. Then they walked into the lab hand-in-hand.

"Come on Bubbles, let's get in the lab or we'll miss the party!", Boomer said and he carried Bubbles bridal style and he ran into the lab. Bubbles was blushing and smiling at Boomer. So I guess that leaves me and Butch.

(Butch's P.O.V.)

Well that was weird. Brick suddenly acted like a gentleman and Boomer became all excited and hyper that he carried his girl in to the party. So now I'm left with Buttercup.

"Hey, let's go in the lab. It's getting cold out here.", I said casually.

"Yeah, sure," she said, then we walked in.

(Buttercup's P.O.V.)

Well that was awkward. We walked in the lab and we went to the main room where the stage is set up. When we came there Himeko was singing the guests' heads off. She was horrible at singing.

"Could somebody stop that clown from singing?" I said. Butch chuckled.

"I don't think anyone would dare to go near her while she's singing. They might become deaf for eternity if they do," Butch joked. I laughed at this. Then a door suddenly opened on the floor of the stage where Himeko was standing and she fell in and she screamed.

"Why the hell am I falliiiiiiing? (Thud)" Himeko screamed.

"But I guess it's legal do that to stop her singing," I said. Both of us laughed. Then we saw the mayor come up the stage saying stuff.

"And now please welcome, one of our special guests to perform! Let's welcome Nana Kitade!" he said. Nana Kitade then walked up the stage.

"Good evening everyone! The song I will perform for all of you tonight is my song called 'Kibou no Kakera'! Please enjoy my song!". Then the music started playing. Wait I know this song. Then she started singing.

The guests clapped their hands as soon as the song finished.

"Thank you!", she said then she walked down the stage. Next is Hoi Festa with their song 'Jiggu the Appa', then Liu Yi Fei with her song 'Mayonaka no Door', next is HALCALI with their song 'LOOK', then Wiz-Us with their song 'Toori Ame' (it is also my favorite song), and lastly Hearts Grow with their song 'Himawari'. It was a long night but I never knew I will have fun in this party specially since I'm with Butch. I never knew Halloween could be this much fun. We ate, we played, and we did so much more. Before the party ended the professor made a long and boring speech and when the speech ended the guests slowly went home one by one with their family and friends. All of us de transformed.

"That party was exhausting but fun!", Momoko said plopping on the couch.

"I'm sleepy. (Yawn)" Miyako said.

"You know what? I actually had fun in the party.", I said stretching my sleepy muscles.

"Well, time to go home. Bye guys!", Momoko said standing up and got her stuff.

"I'll walk you home. It's pretty late so it wouldn't be safe if you go home alone," Mokotaro offered.

"It's alright, I am a Powerpuff Girl after all so I can take care of myself. But you could still walk with me if you want," Momoko said.

"Sure.", Momotaro said.

"Wait for us. We'll just part ways outside the lab," Miyako said.

"Sure. And, can I walk you home too Miyako? You look pretty sleepy and it can be dangerous to let you walk home alone," Miyazaki asked.

"Okay. Thank you," Miyako said. Then all of us walked out of the lab and waved goodbye to the professor. We parted ways and Katsumoto's brothers are going to take my friends home. I started walking but then I noticed something. I turned around to see Katsumoto still standing infront of the lab.

"Hey, aren't you coming?" I asked.

"Hmm?" he asked while tilting his head.

"Oh please, I know you're planning on following me home so just walk with me, I won't mind," I said.

"How did you know?", he asked.

"It doesn't matter how I knew," I shrugged.

"Won't you be mad? You know, me walking you home again. I felt your brother glaring at me you know? You must have been in trouble with your brother seeing you to let a boy walk you home," he chuckled.

"I already told you you can walk with me doofus," I said as I started walking away.

"Alright, whatever you say.", Katsumoto said with a happy smile. He walked next to me and we started walking home.

"Did you enjoy the party?", Katsumoto asked me.

"I did enjoy it (specially since I'm with you 'cause you actually made me have fun in the party). How about you?" I said. I swear almost blushed there, stupid body.

"Yeah, I had fun. You know I actually had fun because of you.", Katsumoto said with the slightest blush. That's sort of cute...

(Katsumoto's P.O.V.)

"I did enjoy it..... How about you?", Kaoru asked me.

"Yeah, I had fun. You know I actually had fun because of you," I said. Oh man, did I almost just tell her I like her?! No, Butch, don't blush, try hard not to blush. Kaoru had a light pink blush on here face.

"You know you actually look cute when you blush slightly," she said, then she blushed even more. What the?!

"Wait, I blushed?! Why does my body betray me?" I sighed.

"You can't stop blood to go up to your face you know," Kaoru chuckled

"And neither can you," I said. We started talking and laughing until we reach her family's apartment. We went to the floor where their apartment is and we walked to their door. When she was about to touch the door knob the door suddenly opened to reveal a tall, muscular man with green eyes wearing a mask.... hold on a minute..... is that THE Masked Wonder?! What is he doing in Kaoru's apartment?! And why is he hugging her like she's his daughter?!

"D-dad, can't b-breath.", Kaoru managed to choke out. Did she just say dad?! Then her dad let her go.

"Oh, sorry. So, did you have fun at the party?" he asked Kaoru.

"I sure did, pops!" she said. Then a lady with green hair and green eyes (who I'm guessing is her mom) beside the Masked Wonder said excitedly, "Oh Kaoru, who is this young man you're with?". Kaoru's dad seems like he didn't see me when he opened the door because he suddenly said...

"Wait, young man?"

He looked over at me and turned his head back to Kaoru.

"Do you know him?" he asked. He sounds like he wants to rip my head off.

"Yeah, he's a friend of mine," Kaoru said.

"What is your name?" Kaoru's mom asked. I am in front of Kaoru's parents right now. I have to act as gentlemanly as I can.

"Good evening, my name is Katsumoto Akatsuji", I said then I bowed. Kaoru looked shocked. "I am sorry that I walked with your daughter without your permission but I wanted to keep her safe from the danger of walking home alone late at night.", I continued. Kaoru's jaw dropped.

"What a nice young man! We should invite him to dinner, dear so that we can get to know him better," her mom said. Now Kaoru's eye is twitching.

"Sure, let's invite him to dinner.", her dad said through his gritted teeth while cracking his knuckles.

"Tomorrow night at 7:00 for dinner here, dress casually, got it? Good. Now leave.", Kaoru's dad said without letting me say another word and he slammed the door shut infront of my face. Well, I guess I'll come back here tomorrow. It's 12:40 already. I have to get home and get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a big day.
