Look How High We Can Fly (Jason Grace x Reader)
I own nothing except the dam plot. Things are crappy here, believe me
Jason's P.o.V.
I was at Camp Half-Blood today. I still went from camp to camp to fulfill my promise to Kym. This day, I'm going to spend time with my best friend, _______, a.k.a. the Love of My Life (cue gags from other guys).
I went to her cabin after breakfast. I knocked on the door, and one of her half-sisters answered.
"You're here for (n/n), aren't you?," she asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Umm, yes. Could you please call her?," I said politely. She gave a small nod and turned her back to me. "_______! Get your bum in here! Your boyfriend's here! You have a date, right?," she shouted. I blushed at her statement.
"SHUT UP! He's NOOOOOOT my boyfriend!" Yup, it was her. I heard shuffles in the room as the said girl fumbled furiously with her stuff.
After a few moments, she stood before me, looking gorgeous like always (what's up with me -_-). She wore a black sando with a checkered blouse, jeans, and, wait......are those......combat boots? (Sadie! Sadie!) Her hair was up in a messy bun, and her headphones were around her neck. She had a small satchel bag (which contains deadly weapons, in my opinion).
"So...you said you were taking me out today. Where are we going?," she asked. I did ask her out, but I didn't really think of it as a date (and sadly, it isn't *sigh*.........wait.......NOOOOOOOO I take that back!!! NOOOOO!!! REMOVE THAT!!!). I grinned as I grabbed her hand and led her to a car, with Argus driving.
"Wait......out of camp?," she asked.
"Yeah. Don't worry. Chiron gave us permission," I reassured her.
After sometime, we arrived at our destination: a ride park. Sure, you're gonna ask 'Of all places, why a ride park?' Once, _______ told me she loved ride parks because it brought back memories. I saw her beam with joy, and she dragged me from ride to ride. We ate lunch, had a lot of fun, and basically spent time with each other.
It was already nighttime. Only one ride was left (except for the lovey dovey ones and the super kiddie ones): the ferris wheel. _______ insisted we should ride it last, to have a nice view of the moon and others. We got in one cart and the wheel started to rotate. There were no windows, making the wind blow on our faces. When a strong wind blew, her messy bun was undone, and the wind blew at her hair. I caught a whiff of her strawberry-scented hair. Oh, did I forget to mention, I'm sitting beside her. After a few minutes, she started to sing.
"I lost myself today
All work, no time to play
I'm holding on to what I know," she glanced at me.
"Then this discovery
Blindfolded, I could see
I'm catching on by letting go," I looked at her rosy lips, and couldn't help but think on how it would feel on mine.
"And now I'm rising up
No coming down
So hang on for the ride," she grinned at me, not noticing my blush. Stars came out, giving our moment a more romantic feel.
"Look how high we can fly
Look how high we can fly
We can see everything
From up here in the sky
We've got the perfect view," she took my hands, making me blush more.
"Together me and you," she mouthed thanks and pecked me on the cheeks.
"Look how high we can fly," she finished. "Love you, Jason," she whispered softly, but enough for me to hear. Just the confirmation I needed. I didn't realize 'til now that we had our arms around each other. Grinning like a madman with _______ staring at me like I was crazy, I closed the gap between us. I was gentle and passionate at the same time, and so was she. After a few moments, we broke apart for air. We just stayed like that for a moment. I decided to speak up first.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?," I asked, using the tune of Do You Want To Build A Snowman. She giggled a bit.
"After kissing you, you still doubt it if I would want to be your girl?," she teased. I kissed her forehead lightly. Together, we sang.
"I found myself today
And now I'm glad to say
I'm living life
Straight from the heart
Oh, what a gift to see
I'm lucky to be me
And now I just can't
Wait to start
I keep on rising up
No coming down
So hang on for the ride
Look how high we can fly
Look how high we can fly
It's a beautiful view
From up here in the sky
There's nothing we can't do
Together me and you
Look how high we can fly ~"
The ride was nearly over when she spoke up.
"You know, you should really work on your voice," she teased.
"Oh shut up," I said. We just laughed at each other, being comfortable in one another's embrace.
