Dusk Brooks' POV

I open the fridge and huff when I see how empty it is. "Delirious!!!" Are you fucking kidding me?! Again?!" I exclaim, my blood boiling. A familiar insane laughter echoes throughout the house as Jonathan walks into the kitchen. "Sorry, Dusty." He giggles innocently. I roll my eyes playfully and shit the refrigerator door. "You're going out to get some food." I demand to which he shakes his head no. "You'll have to. Zombie, Cartoonz, Jayden, and I are going out to rob the gun shop down the street." He says before walking away.

       I huff before making my way through the house. "Sin, Gaby, Merica! I have to go shopping and I'm taking you fucks with me!" I announce loudly. I hear a few groans of disapproval followed by three of my friends emerging from their rooms. "Are we stealing it or are we going to buy it?" Sinclair asks.

       "Actually, we're going to buy it. I've been reading up on a few newspaper articles and it says that the government is trying to figure out who we are, so we need to act innocent when around other people." I explain. They all nod with frowns still plastered on their faces. "Don't worry. We're just going to buy a few snacks to tide us over until Jonny gets back. He ate all of the food and he's trying to get out of buying more, so I'm going to force him to go grocery shopping when he gets back." I smile deviously, making them all crack a small smile. "Fine, let's just get this over with." America sighs in defeat, the other girls following suit.

Time Skip to when we get to a convenience store

I grab myself a Twix bar and a Dr.Pepper before looking to see what the girls got. Sin got a Milkyway and a Dew Shine, America got a Kit Kat and a Pepsi, and Gaby got a Crunch bar and a cream soda. "Should we get something for everyone else?" America asks. "Nah, if they want something they can get it theirselves. It's not like it's going to kill them to buy a candy bar and a drink." I answer with a smug grin. We all laugh and walk over to the cashier to ring up our snacks.

Once we get to the counter, we stop in our tracks. Four men are pointing guns at the cashier. Gaby gasps in surprise, gaining the robbers' attention. The men turns to look at us and gives us a Cheshire smile. Fuck! We can't use our powers or they'll know who we are! This isn't good...

Just as one of the robbers begin to approach us, the door to the convenience store swings open. Everyone redirects their attention to the door to see four heroes. Mini, Paper Bag Man, Night Owl, and Terrorizer... I wish I could take them all on right now, but I'd put all of us in danger.

       "Wait, there's only four? Paper Bag Man, you said there was a bunch of them!" Terrorizer says while crossing his arms. "I thought there was!" He defends himself with his hands up in surrender. "Would you two save the bullshit for later, please?!" Night Owl scolds before turning into an owl and staring the robbers with his large, yellow eyes.

       "I wouldn't do that if I were you." One of the men says before pointing their gun at Sin. Gaby, America, and I all growl as Sin begins to tremble. "Hey! Leave the poor girls alone!" Paper Bag Man shouts while taking a step forward. "Bad decision, buddy." He states, cocking his gun.

"Read his mind." I whisper to Gaby. She nods and focuses on the man with the gun. She gasps and lunges towards Sin, taking her to the ground just before the gun went off. America and I stare at the men, our eyes filled with anger that's just begging to be let lose.

The four heroes leap into action, leaving us sitting there on the sidelines. The fight goes on and one of the men die, leaving one of the three remaining men upset. The other two men act like they could care less. Why don't they care? Aren't they all a team?

Eventually, what's left of the robbers retreat, leaving the rest of us sitting there, dumbfounded. "I recognized two of them, but I don't know about the other two." Mini comments while looking at his group to see if they noticed it too. "Who'd you recognize?" Night Owl asks with an eyebrow raised. "OhmWrecker and Bryce McQuad. They're part of a gang led by Chilled Chaos." He explains, earning nods from the rest of the group.

       They all stop conversing with each other to check on us. "Are you girls okay? Did they hurt any of you?" Night Owl asks us with a worry ridden face. "Yeah, we're fine." America says before grabbing her snacks and walking over to the cash register. She pays the starstruck cashier and walks outside, waiting for the rest of us in the car. "Thank you for saving us." Gaby says with a smile while she pays for her snacks, leaving once she was done.

       Sin and I both pay for our stuff and follow America and Gaby, leaving the heroes to calm down the mortified cashier. Hm, welp, that was interesting. Us villains are enemies with those fucks and they just saved our asses. Of course they didn't know we're villains, but it still feels weird...
