Hayley's POV

Quiet... Everything is quiet... It's deafening. I look up from my hands and observe the living room. I'm sitting on the couch opposite of the TV, next to both Maze and Midnight.

To my right, Rogue is sitting on a single couch next to the double couch holding Michael and Calum. Those two are chained up and Calum has a new collar, but this time the collar is bigger and in the inside is spikes that would penetrate his skin if he turned. We call it shifter collars, it's the same as the other ones, but has spikes on the inside. I'm working on one that can expand so it won't be as torturous.

I look at the single couch on the other side of the double couch where both Calum and Michael sit and spot Phoenix. She is glaring in front of her while Michael watches her every move, with what I can guess is longing.

To my left, is sat both the dark blue guy and Ashton on the double couch and on the single couch next to them is sat Sphynx glaring at Ashton next to her and scrunching up her nose ever so often because of the fact that he smells terribly of wet dog.

On the single couch on the other side of the couch next to Luke is sat Tattau staring blankly into her own little universe, daydreaming.

Ashton is glaring at the space in front of him and occasionally turns his gaze onto Sphynx who is sat next to him. I can faintly hear the growl deep in his chest whenever he looks at Sphynx, causing her the growl back occasionally.

I look at the blue guy with the quiff and our eyes meet making his eyes go wide and return his gaze to his hands neatly placed on his lap, which is contained by handcuffs. They all have handcuffs on except Calum who is bound my many forsaken chains.

Suddenly we hear the door open and all our gazes fall on my father. I stand up and give him a look saying 'Why'd you take so long?' and he immediately caught it.

"Sorry sweetheart, my wings are not what they use to be," He smiles apologetic and looks behind me at the prisoners.

"This is no way to treat our guests. They're one of us now. Untie them and let them shift back. You girls are excused," My father says and we leave right after.

I then come back shortly after and in my normal hoody and skinny jeans. Dad looks down at me "There she is," he smiles and hugs me. He looks over at the boys once more.

"Sweetheart, please take the collars off, I can't make out their faces," He instructs me and I walk over to the blue guy, unlocking his collar, followed by Ashton, Michael and then finally Calum.

"Darling, please untie the boy, he looks annoyed," My dad says giving me an amused smile. I do as he instructs and back away as fast as I could.

I then go stand next to my father once more and play with my messy side plat on my right shoulder. The boys get up and stand in front of us.

Calum squints at me and my father before looking at my father directly. "Are you Jack Savage...?" Calum asks unsure. My father frowns at him, and then turns his gaze to me.

"Did you ask them what their powers are?" he asks ignoring Calum. I look up at him and then look down scratching at my neck where the scar lies. In my human form I have the scar and I refuse to hide it with my abilities.

"Sorry, Did Maze or Midnight inform them that they are guests not prisoners?" He asks and I Nod my head and look up at my dad again and then at Calum, as I take his broken collar from my hoodie pocket.

"I see..." My dad says and looks at Calum "Yes I am Jackson Savage. Now tell me your full name and age," Dad says taking a notebook from his blazer.

He looks at the blue guy. He then looks at my dad like a deer caught in headlights... Is he 17, he looks like he could be because of how shy he is? He then shifts into his human form and I see the stubble on his face... No he's definitely older than 17... 18 perhaps?

"My name is Luke Hemmings, I am 19 years old," he says curtly, but softly. I was close enough. My dad scribbles it down and looks at Ashton. Ashton then turns back into his human self "My name is Ashton Irwin and I am 21 years of age," Ashton smiles and both me and my Dad's eyes widen as we look at each other. Dad says something into his blazers collar and turn towards Michael.

Michael doesn't say anything and eyes his blazer collar "What was that...?" He asks suspiciously. I pull on my dad's blazer as he glares at Michael. My dad loses his glare and moves down so I can speak in his ear.

"Michael Clifford," I say softly. My Dad's eyes widen. "Michael...!" He says surprized "I haven't seen you since you were 5 I think, maybe 4," My father smiles sadly.

My father looks at Calum "And let me guess... Calum?" My father asks and Calum nods. "What a surprize to see you both here, I hope you're mothers are doing well, I haven't heard from you're mother Michael after the accident, is she alright, how did she take it?" he asks. Obviously, Michael wouldn't remember, he was 4!

"I don't know... She never told me..." he answers looking down at the floor. He then lifts his head up and look me in the eyes "Hey Hayley..." he says to me and I nod saying hello back.

"Sorry, Hayley was in an accident which lead her to being Mute. The doctor says she will be able to speak one day, but her shyness is an issue," My father says and kisses my forehead.

He looks at all the boys "First we have to train you boys... I am going to pare each of you with a hero with the same understanding of your power. But before I can do that I need to know what you're capable of," My father says and shows them toward our glass interrogation room.

He places Calum in first. "Hayley call the heroes," Dad instructs me. I then do my wolf whistle making Ashton cringe as I mouth a 'sorry'.

All the heroes enter in their suits and stand in a straight line next to one another. My team is upfront. I then exit the room and push the diamond and return the room in my firefly form, changing into my hero form as I stand in front of my team.

"Hit the switch Anne!" He calls toward our facility doctor and his other right hand. She is the best we have. She was born from a shifter family but got ill and lost some of her abilities and strength. Only my father knows what she is though.

The lights go off but a blue light shines on Calum from within the confined area. He then shifts into his in between stage and suddenly a giant shark head replaces his human deformed one and he attacks the glass, neither me nor my father flinches.

"Calum Thomas Hood, you are to be placed working with Rogue Reptilia and Aquamarine Delphine. Aqua is there to make sure neither of you kill one another," My father says and lets Calum out.

"Angel," My father says and I take the injection and shoot the diamond button into his right hand where the men's buttons go. It's the same as the woman one, but the women get their buttons on their left hand.

Calum hisses and retracts his hand quickly as he hold his hand close and snaps at me with his shark teeth for show. I don't flinch. "So scary..." Midnight says in a flat tone, speaking for me.

Calum then stalks away and Michael enters the chamber. The lights go once more and Michael bursts into flames and reappears as his red devil self only to burst into flames once more and reappear somewhere else in the room surrounded by a blood red smoke.

The lights turn back on "Michal Gordon Clifford, you are to be placed by Lady Phoenix and Maze Rubik's. Maze is there to make sure you stay in check while Phoenix teaches you," My father says just as Michael has a seizure and starts sparking up until he hits the floor. "And to teach you control," My father finishes.

He lets Michael out and I input his diamond in his right hand as he hisses in pain and limps away. Ashton steps into the chamber and the lights don't go off. "Anne, the lights!" My father reminds her, causing the lights to go off.

Ashton crouches down to the floor and lifts his head up to show is wolf-like eyes. His whole body shifts and bones crack making most of us flinch and look away. He then stands on both hind legs as humans to. His chest stands out in muscle, and his head is replaces by a wolf's head.

"Ashton Fletcher Irwin, you are to be placed with Sphynx Cheshire and Sorceress Tattau. Tattau is there so you don't chase Sphynx up a tree," my father jokes. I then input Ashton's diamond button and he growls at me.

Luke finally steps in and looks down. His arms start to smoke as it riles up to his upper arm replacing his human skin with a tribal dark midnight blue. He lifts his head and his crystal blue eyes are replaced by a cobalt shocking blue. His blond hair has turned raven black and he's staring right into my eyes.

"Luke Robert Hemmings, You are to be placed with Angel Firefly and Midnight Nightmare, Midnight is there to translate for Angel, but you are lucky to be trained by the best. All of you are. This entire team has been working here since they were 8. Congrats," My father tells them all and excuses himself to go talk to Anne

This has surely been a long night I could use a good night's sleep. I look over at Rogue who is yelling at Calum and then over to Sphynx teasing Ashton and Tattau holding him back with her tattoo chains.

I look over at Michael trying to get Phoenix's attention, but failing miserably, while Maze watches the scene.

I then look at Luke who is standing in front of me, holding his right hand out. I snap back into reality and take his hand in mine as I input his diamond button making him hiss. "It hurts," he comments.

"Well it is going directly into your hand, accessing you're veins that allow you to shift and stopping it until you push the button once more... duh..." Midnight tells him.

Finally my father steps back in the room "Everyone, please meet the facilities' top doctor, Anne," he introduces Anne.

Her blond hair is in a messy bun and her crystal blue eyes are friendly as her smile is large, setting her dimples for show.

"Mom?!" Ashton exclaims and comes over to hug her. "Wait... Anne is your mother...?" Lily questions shifting back into her human form.

Ashton smiles back at her "This is our mom..." Ashton corrects her as Anne's face turns confused. "What? Lady Phoenix is..." she stops and looks at Lily "Lily..." Anne finishes and her eyes tear up.

They then engulf in a huge hug "We should've found Ashton sooner. Seems like you two have been working together for so long without even knowing that you're mother and daughter..." Rogue says and exits the room.

"Meow..." Sphynx says and exits the room after her. "Lily, please go show Ashton and Michael their room. And Angel, please go show Luke and Calum their room. It's right next to your room sweetheart. The boys will be your neighbours for a while," Dad explains making me groan.

"So... Angel... Ya want to have a slumber party with me later on...?" Calum asks smugly, right after we enter the rooms' hallway. Gross...

Calum must either be really stupid or really desperate... or just plain unaware. I give him a blank look and point at the door they're staying in.

I then enter my own room and close the door behind me. I push the diamond and shift human. I then go over to my station and continue on working on my project I've been working on to make a genetic body suit made entirely of diamond crystal.

I change into my pajamas and get in bed. I feel my eyes droop and right before I fall into the darkness of my mind I see Luke's blue form hiding in the shadows of my room.

AN: Sorry I didn't update in so long but my computer acted up and my account refused to go in and all my books updates were n it so I freaked out, but I got my dad's friend to set up a new administrator on the computer and transfer my books there... My homework was also on there... but I didn't really mind that
