Chapter Three
Persephone blinked a few times to refocus her vision. She groaned and sat up, looking around. Panic quickly crept up her body as she realized that she didn't recognize the room she lay in at all. She looked down at the bed she lay on. The sheets were creamy white and it was amazingly soft. A part of her just wanted to curl up and fall asleep again, but she quickly shook the thought out of her head. The room had creamy white walls and several white pieces of furniture. A small desk, a wardrobe and some other stuff.
Persephone rubbed her eyes and sat up and looked down at herself. She felt a feeling of relief wash over her as she saw that she was wearing the same clothes that she had when she was knocked unconscious. She walked up to the window, thinking that it may give her a clue of where she was. She peeked through the blinds and saw an unfamiliar scene. The sun shone brightly and waves hit a sandy white beach.
Persephone sighed and tried to open the window and found it locked. Then, with her lock picking skills she tried to pick the window lock. She tired for a few minutes before giving up, it seemed un-pickable. She closed her eyes for a moment, and then she heard someone yelling. "WHY WON'T THE GLASS FUCKING SHATTER!"
----------------------------
Haily paced around the small room she'd woken up in. She had no idea where she was and that was just fantastic. Anger was bubbling up inside of her and she had no idea of what to do with it. Wait... now she had one idea. She ran up to the door and kicked it open. It flew open and Haily felt like screaming with... joy? She looked around and saw a young woman in front of her, probably only a few years older than Haily. The woman had dyed pastel pink hair, bright blue eyes, pale skin, freckles and a muscular build. She wore a pair of leggings and a light blue hoodie. "You do know that the doors weren't locked?"
"Umm, no?" Haily said.
The woman laughed lightly, "My names Persephone Agastas, you can call me Seph."
"Oh, my names Haily Smith, but you can call me Haily," Haily responded. "Do you have any idea where we are? 'Cause all I just remember being tranquilized by weird hood person and then waking up here."
"Weird hood person? Nevermind, I was just walking around the forest and then I felt something on my neck and I fell unconscious," Persephone said.
Then Haily heard something making a weird noise so she looked around the room until she found what she was looking for- and intercom. "Look, an intercom."
Persephone eyes found it. "Why's that there?"
"So I can do this," a voice said through the intercom. "Haily Smith and Persephone Agastas. Make your way to the dining hall, everything will be explained there."
----------------------------
Loukas glared at the young woman standing beside him. She was staring at the intercom which had just told them to get to the dining hall. "Soo, Loukas was it?"
"Yes," Loukas said, "Any idea on how we should find the goddamn dining hall?"
Blythe shrugged, "Do you?"
"No, I fucking don't," Loukas groaned.
"I guess we just look around," Blythe suggested. "It's not like we have anything else to do."
Loukas nodded and walked down the hallway and Blythe followed him, happy not to be in the lead. Not that she had anything against him, she just didn't like taking charge. She followed him as they navigated through the long hallways of where ever they were.
----------------------------
Alicia and Alve run down a hallway with creamy white walls. They wanted to get to the dining hall as quickly as they could, and running would get them there a lot quicker than walking would. They rushed past the many doors, but not forgetting to check the labels on them explaining what they lead to.
"Hey Alve, you have any idea why they took us here?" Alicia asked.
"No, none at all," Alve answered. "Do you?"
"I don't," Alicia replied and Alve nodded. "I just hope it isn't for a bad cause."
"Neither do I," Alve said.
Alicia's blue and hazel eyes turned hard, she really had a bad feeling about this, but who wouldn't.
----------------------------
The blonde haired girl stood in the middle of the dining room, having pushed all the tables aside and waited for the teams of two to arrive. Her arms were crossed over her chest and a victorious smile on her face. She had finally accomplished step one in her life goal. She looked over at one of the monitors on the wall, showing Blythe and Loukas. They were running through a hallway and she could tell that they were quite close.
She looked away from the monitors when she heard the doors slam open and she saw Alicia and Alve standing there, panting. Alicia looked open and her eyes widened in shock and maybe the tiniest amount of fear. "You."
The blonde woman smirked. "Me."
"You better start explaining," Alve said.
"Soon, the others just have to arrive first," the woman replied.
"Others?" Alicia asked.
"Yes, others. In fact, four others," the woman said.
Then the doors flew open again and Loukas and Blythe stepped inside. Blythe's expression immediately turned into one of horror, anger and fear. "W-where's Ava? Is she alright, she better be unharmed."
Loukas didn't have time to say anything, not even to swear as the doors opened once more and Persephone and Haily walked in. They didn't have time to say anything before the woman told them to listen and not to speak.
"Listen up. You are now here and you are not going anywhere. You will stay here and do as I say. This world is corrupt and you will help me fix it," the woman said.
"Oh, and how are you going to do that?" Loukas replied sarcastically.
The woman chuckled to herself and looked him right in his eyes. "By eliminating those who corrupt it."
"Woah," Blythe said. "Wait a minute. You want us to kill people?"
"Yes, Blythe. I do," the woman said.
"And what if we refuse?" Persephone said.
"Then you're not the only ones who will pay," the woman said.
"Okay, first, what do you mean? And second, what is your problem?" Haily said.
"Oh, I'm not the one with a problem, and I mean that both you and your loved ones will suffer," the woman said.
Blythe was utterly terrified but she couldn't show it, she had to keep the facade she had going. She glared at the blonde woman and said tow simple words. "Fuck you."
The blonde woman chuckled and smiled darkly at Blythe. "Oh, you don't think I'm serious. I don't think poor Ava would appreciate that."
"Y-you monster! Where is she?" Blythe growled, tears streaming down her face.
"Why would I tell you that?" the woman replied, "Now, Agatha will show you to your rooms."
"Hey, weird hood person," Haily said. "You never gave us your name, are we supposed you call you hood girl or weird hood person?" Haily asked sarcastically.
"You may call me Madeline," the woman answered.
"Okay, Madeline," Haily said and followed the brown haired woman, Agatha. Agatha lead them down the hallway and through several others. There were twists and turns everywhere and Loukas could tell that Agatha was purposely taking a complicated way there so they wouldn't remember how to get there. Loukas had no problem with killing, but what Madeline wanted them to do was just wrong. He'd go along for now, but he knew that they- or at least he, was going to rebel against this. Against Madeline and her sick ideas.
Agatha stopped in the middle of a light blue hallway. On the wall stood five doors in a row. On each door there was a label, and each label said one of their room. The first room, the outermost left one had Persephone Agastas written on it. The second one said Alve Smith. The third one, the middle one, said Alicia James. The fourth one said Haily Smith, but he doubted that she and Alve were related, and if they were... well, they were fucking good at hiding it. The fifth one said Loukas Johnson, so they'd skipped his middle names. The fifth one, the outermost right one, said Blythe Greenberg.
Loukas looked over at Blythe and couldn't help but feel a little sympathy for her, he didn't know who Ava was or is, but she was obviously close to Blythe. Blythe wiped the tears off her cheeks and stepped into her room. Loukas also stepped into his and saw from the corner of his eyes that the others did the same.
