Chapter Nine

It felt like a scowl had been tattooed on her face, not that her lips or mouth stung, but because she scowled all the time. Sure, Alicia wasn't a person who smiled 24/7, but she didn't scowl this much. She had recently escaped from the white room, as she called it. It had been pretty empty, to say the least. She'd found the note, which she currently held in her hand, and was on her way. The note had told her to go to the shore where she'd find the others waiting, and if they weren't there then they'd arrive shortly. Well, all of them except Alve, he was on some sort of secret mission.

A secret mission of sorts? Had he given in to it all? She hoped he hadn't, but then again he hadn't struck her as strong- mentally. But he must have morals? Right? Alicia decided that she would have to leave that thought be. Right now she had to focus on her own "mission".

She tried to open the door but found that it was locked. She knew she could kick it down, but it just... she didn't feel like it. If that was a thing, not feeling like kicking down a door. So she found a small stick on the floor and used it to pick the lock. Once she unlocked the door she found Haily standing in front of a broken window.

"Haily?" Alicia asked.

Haily looked her way, her violet eyes dark with anger and frustration. "Yeah?"

"Any idea of what's happening?" Alicia asked.

"We're supposed to go to the ocean I think," Haily said.

Alicia nodded and walked over to the window beside the shattered one. She looked down and saw how far up they were.

"This ones got a rope," Haily said.

"What?" Alicia asked.

"This ones got a rope," Haily repeated, this time much slower than the time before.

Alicia walked over to the window making sure not to step on any glass. "It does."

"Duh," Haily said. "I did say so, didn't I?"

"Yeah, yeah," Alicia said. "You think we can use it?"

"Why should I know?" Haily asked.

"I don't know," Alicia shrugged.

"Then why did you ask me?" Haily laughed.

"I don't know," Alicia repeated.

"Only one way to find out," Haily said and flung herself out of the window, but caught onto the rope and climbed down. Alicia heard a soft thud and then a, "It works!"

Alicia climbed out the window and then down the building. Her grip on the rope giving her very light bruising.

"Lets go!" Haily said and grabbed Alicia's wrist. Then she started running. Haily spotted a figure looking out towards the ocean, but she couldn't tell who it was.

"Haily!" Alicia exclaimed but Haily kept running. Then when they had arrived at their destination she heard Haily say, "Oh, it's you."

The figure, who Alicia quickly saw was Loukas turned towards the pair and rolled his eyes. "That's fucking right. It's me."

Alicia found a place between the two to keep them from jumping on each other once again. Then, one by one the rest of the group found their way to the ocean. All but Alve.

"Where the fuck is Alve?" Loukas questioned and Blythe explained it to him. He nodded and looked back at the ocean, but he often found himself glancing back at her.

Of course that's when a note was blown into Loukas' face. It then fell off his face and Loukas caught it before it touched the damp ground.

"What does it say?" Blythe asked. She got on her toes and tried to read the note over his shoulder.

"Apparently the fucking psycopath wants one of us to jump into the water and retrieve a glass bottle with the next clue. Fucking stupid."

"Don't worry. I got this," Pheobe said and took a few steps forward. She glanced back at them and gave them all a smile. Then she looked at the ocean, determination burning inside her veins. She started at the wild ocean and soon enough it started to seperate, like the Red Sea in the bible.

"Good job, Moses," Persephone said.

"Why thank you," Pheobe said. "Okay, somebody get the bottle!"

Persephone ran towards and grabbed the bottle which lay in the middle of the area Pheobe had cleared.

"How can you do that?" Blythe asked.

"I can manipulate reality," Pheobe asked.

"So, if you wanted you could walk on water, turn water into wine and convince everyone your Jesus?" Alicia asked.

Pheobe laughed and as soon as Persephone was back on the rocks Pheobe let the water flow back into its previous position. "I guess."

A smirk appeared on Hailys face. "Oh my god! It's Jesus!"

"Great impression," Loukas said. "Fucking fantastic!"

"Like you could do any better."

So, Heroes is back! I'm sorry it's so short, I just want to get into the characters again, y'know? Well, anyway. Thanks for reading!
