Chapter 36- Inferior
Your Pov*
Everything was dark, my head was spinning and my body ached with every movement I made. The floor in which I laid on was hard and cold, it reminded me of the time when I was thrown in the prison Notch put me in back not even a week ago. I didn't dare open my eyes, because I already knew what to expect. The nausea I felt in my stomach and the throbbing in my head couldn't keep my eyes closed though, even though I wished to keep it dark as long as possible to get away from the current situation I already knew I was stuck in.
I opened my eyes slowly, and to my surprise, it was bright. The prison I was thrown in back then was dark and eerie, but the room was bright with a tan stone and purple gems.
Tan and purple? What did this remind me of? I didn't dare to think anymore because the more I sat up the more the pain increased, I heard the chains on my feet and arms tighten and clang, the more I moved the more my head ached and I couldn't help but let out a groan in pain.
"Finally awake huh?" I heard an unfamiliar voice
I turned and looked up at the figure with a grey cloak, dark skin, and piercing red eyes that I have never seen before.
"Wh-who are you..?" My voice cracked as I asked him the question, never noticing that my throat was dry and my mouth was parched until I spoke.
"Hmm... I guess you can say I don't have a name... You could just say I'm an object, and allusion to your eyes, an entity," he smiled to which I didn't understand, was he trying to play tricks on my mind?
"Number 303," another voice spoke, much deeper and menacing this time but he was too far away from my cell for me to see him. "Don't keep him waiting, he traveled far to perform our next tasks."
"Yes...Yes, I know.. It's just been so many years of waiting. I can't help but have a little fun," The dark man opened the heavy door to my cell which rubbed against the ground causing me to cringe.
He walked behind me and used a key to unlock the chains from my arms and legs and yanked me up before I could process what was happening. He had one hand around my neck and another pushing my back toward the exit.
By the time we turned the corner, the voice that was once there was gone. We walked down a long hallway of the odd tan stone I have never seen before, each had round-shaped holes, some were smoothed out with patterns, and some walls had designs of the purple mineral. The cold grip on the back of my neck kept me from viewing the structure I was inside.
Once we reached the end of the hallway two ginormous doors appeared to us. He proceeded to open the door with his free hand and the other still around the back of my neck, and then we slowly walked into the huge open spaced room.
The room was so gigantic and the walls were inclined it was clear to me that this room was very important, and when we turned I was eye to eye with a darkened and shadowy throne, which seemed to have someone sitting on it but it was too dark to see, but that's not what I was worried about.
I was worried about the tall man standing at the bottom of the stairs leading up the throne. His eyes pierced into my soul and his smile indented on his face and his beard hung from his chin. The man I wished I would never see again
"Why hello again," Notch said to me, his gaze never leaving me and his hands behind his back.
I started to squirm once I laid eyes on him, which resulted in the man behind me tightening his grip, which made me jerk from pain and try to keep my body from moving.
"Why so afraid hmm?" The voice crept behind my ear, making my spine shiver as we got closer to the dark and shadowed throne. "Did you not know that the one who was chasing you all this time was me?"
My heart stopped, and I slowly turned my head around to look at the figure behind me, who appeared to be Notch. My body tugged away from his grasp and I fell to the floor, where he cracked a long and evil laugh as his body gleamed a bright white and he turned back to the creepy dark man with red eyes once again. He suddenly grabbed me by the hair and pulled me back up to the position we were in before, facing the throne.
"Guess she didn't notice yet, awe I bet the poor girl is utterly confused," Notch laughed and the voice behind me as well
This didn't change anything at all, I was still scared and confused, but now I didn't know who to be afraid of and how powerful these people were.
"Silence!" Another deep voice intervened, it was loud and made my ears ring. I never had a I heard a voice that made my heart race and shiver in fear, I thought the only man that could scare me was Notch, whose just his presence scared me. "We need to get this over with if you think it is going to work, Notch?"
"Oh yes, it will definitely work," He smiled, and started to walk toward me, which made me even squirm, even more, I couldn't let whatever they wanted to do to me happen.
"Let me GO!" I screamed, tugging my arms away from the man behind me, and suddenly the room shook. Stones fell from the walls, the vibrations of the floor caused us all to lose balance and I fell over, not being able to handle the abrupt power within the room while my head was already spinning.
I held my head low to the ground and closed my eyes, while holding my hands into a palm as hard as I could, and to my surprise, the room slowly stopped shaking.
Was that me..? My body started shaking, and I suddenly felt worse than I did before, which I thought was impossible. The room also shook in the stronghold...But I thought...
A deep dark laugh emitted the room, and all our eyes went to the shaded throne where the movement began to be seen. A dark figure started to make its way toward the steps, and while he stepped down Notch got out of the way and turned his body toward him. The man behind me walked in front of me and did the same thing, making his way for the dark figure coming this way.
I was in pure shock, I couldn't move, all I could do was keep my eyes upon the figure that slowly made his way toward the light as he stepped down the stairs.
A huge dark skeleton, with knightly armor, clanked as he came down the steps. Throughout my trip, I have seen tons of skeletons, zombies, so many monsters, but nothing as inferior as this.
His bones were old and dark, his armor imprinted with skulls, and through his body, small flames emitted his ugly body. But his face really got me. It almost looked like a demon, horns came out of his head, eyes red as blood, and his smile, oh gosh his smile made me believe he was the duke of hell.
He stopped at the steps, allowing me to take in all his sight, knowing he was truly as terrifying as I made it out to be on my face.
I kept my stance on the floor, never daring to move, and my body shook, but something inside me didn't want to quake in fear to all the beings around me. It just wasn't fair.
"You..You'll never be-defeat Herobrine! He may not have his p-powers but he still has more st-strength than all of you! He'll find the Amulets of D-density and defeat you ALL!" My voice came out more shaky than expected, and the whole room emitted laughter again, and for once in my life, I admitted in my mind that I truly lied to myself to make me feel better.
"Awe...Didn't you realize yet...?" The dark skeleton walked over to me, his body clanging together and he took slow strides toward me. I looked at the floor, I accepted what was going to happen, and I was positive I was going to die within a few moments, but when he reached me, he put his cold bony hand underneath my chin and forced me to look up into his fiery red eyes and said
"You are the Amulets of Destiny"
