Chapter 27 - True Power
I felt my stomach twist in pain as I groggily opened my eyes. I felt my body being lifted and shoved by strong arms as I closed my eyes again. I felt my head sting in pain as I lifted my hand up to my head and finally opened my eyes again.I lifted my eyes to a tall figure holding my body up straight to keep me from falling down, to my surprise it being the white eyed demon, who seemed to have a surprised look on his face. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't help but push him away from him in a rude manner. I felt my face heat up as I moved my form away from his, and as his arms moved away from me I could feel my legs give up on me as I fell to the ground.
"Are you alright?" I heard Lukas say as my butt hit the hard ground.
"Y-yea, I'm fine. I just don't feel very well," I rubbed my head in pain as I felt my stomach twist and turn.
"It's because of the portal," Lukas explained."Since i'm an alchemist, teleportation doesn't affect me, and Herobrine isn't human and as has already been to the Nether many of times. You passed out for a few moments when you first entered the portal, and you might experience migraines and stomach aches because of the quick transportation."
"I-" I started to talk before I felt like I was going to puke, I covered my hands against my mouth.
"This place isn't the safest, we should start going to the-" Lukas started.
"God, give her a moment," Herobrine snapped at him. "Your rushing into it anyway, we need to think of a plan before we even start heading toward it."
"Fine, then what do you suggest, Herobrine?" Lukas said bluntly as he was giving him an irritated look. "Do you even know where this "thing" is?"
"Of course I do," He replied." Its inside the nether fortress,I have the coordinates in my inventory. But like I said, its surrounded by monsters, and I don't have my powers anymore so I cant control them anymore."
They continued talking as I sat on the ground, I felt a bit better and uncovered my hands from my face. I signed and felt useless to them, so far I felt like I was in the way of everything. As I thought more I suddenly heard a noise, a noise behind us that sounded like footsteps.I panicked and noticed the boys not noticing the creature coming closer and closer.
"Guys...?" I asked them. They both stopped talking and looked at me. "There's something coming," I said to them in a whisper as I turned to look at them. They both looked over and stood quietly to hear the footsteps get louder and louder, and the shadow over the wall get bigger and bigger. Lukas' immediate reaction was pure panic, and he quickly hid behind some nether rack. Herobrine instead rushed to my side and grabbed the stone sword he brought along with him.It was weird to see him protecting me, no inch of hesitation or fear in his eyes, even if he had no power, he'd risk this for me?
As the shadow got closer and closer, my heart pounded harder and harder. We waited until it finally walked around the corner, but what we thought it was going to be was the opposite.
Around the corner came a rather small, but familiar looking wither skeleton. Instead of trying to kill us ( which we expected to happen), it have us a girly screech before he noticed a familiar face.
"Master?!" He yelled.
"Jordan?" Herobrine asked as he moved out of his fighting position. I immediately relaxed, but then remembered Herobrine didn't have his powers, how was he going to get Jordan to respond to him? Herobrine started to walk over to him.
"Herobrine, what about your powers...?" I asked quietly. He turned to me, without any concern on his face.
"I wouldn't worry about it, Jordan is the most loyal one out of all the monsters I've seen." He responded, before he could greet his friend, Jordan was already right next to him, bowing down on the ground literally worshiping him.
"Master, I apologize. I couldn't find you after we separated. I looked everywhere and I couldn't find you. Eventually everything around me got out of hand, so I teleported to the Nether, hoping to find you there. I searched everywhere until fate has brought us together again. Please, spare some mercy on me." He said in a worried tone. I was very surprised by his actions, when I met him the first time he was never this formal.
"Get up," Herobrine ordered. The wither skeleton got up slowly, still worry and doubt on his face. He looked up at his master, hoping that he would forgive his burdens. "You have done well. Do not be afraid."
"I-I did?" he replied, and his body relaxed from his tense state. "Thank goodness, I thought you were going to murder me, wait-" he paused for a moment, looking at Herobrine deep in his eyes, "your aura, your powers. Are they?-"
"Yes, there gone. Notch has taken them away from me" Herobrine looked down to the ground.
"Aha! What are we going to do!? Your powers were the main source to finally defeating him! Ah-" Jordan quickly abrupted out of his panicked state when he saw me sitting on the ground. "(Y/N)!? Your still alive!? How could this be? I thought at least Herobrine OR Notch would have killed you by now! It's good to see your doing well," He said and walked over to me. I didn't know if I should have taken it as a insult or not.
"Thanks...?" I said. I could hear footsteps behind me once again, but this time I knew who it was.
"Ok, what the HELL is happening?" Lukas got out of the corner and started walking over to us, he was holding a sword in his right hand which made the wither skeleton quickly retreat behind his master.
"Lukas, this is my guard, Jordan. Jordan, this is...Lukas." Herobrine looked at both of them, making a displeased look on his face at the end of the sentence.
"Your making allies with humans now?"Jordan whispered.
"I don't trust monsters!" Lukas said.
"Put the sword down, dammit." Herobrine said to Lukas with a scowl on his face, I could tell he tried to his best to be polite just for a split second until he got irritated. It was a big step for him, especially since he needed their help.
"You're ok with working with me, but not a wimpy skeleton?" He asked Lukas.
"I never said I was ok working with you. To be honest, I hate you. But I hate Notch more. I'm only doing this for myself." Lukas spitted out.
"Tsh. Like and alchemy, always an alchemy." Herobrine fought back.
"TAKE THAT BACK DAMMIT!" Lukas yelled as he lifted up his sword again.
"Why should you judge something by their species and not who they are?" Herobrine got his sword out from his back.
They were fighting, why? It wasn't that big of deal. Alchemist were known for their evil and selfish behavior with magics, this is why Herobrine and I were so shook up when he stated the facts.Even when he told us I still trusted him in the end, he saved me when we were captured by Notch, so why wouldn't I? Maybe I just don't know how bad they really were? But still, I thought we were going to work together like a team, why must they argue all of the sudden?
"YOU HYPOCRITE! DID YOU NOT JUST SAY LIKE AN ALCHEMY ALWAYS AN ALCHEMY?" Lukas started to charge him with his sword. He was obviously heated up about what Herobrine said.
"I will have fun tearing you to shreds. Its been a while since I killed someone" Herobrine also charged his sword at him.
WHAT? No.. Why was this happening?I thought he said we needed him to get the sword? It was obvious from the beginning that they both disliked each other, but this sudden hatred and wanting to tear each other's guts out was too much to handle.
I could feel something abrupt inside on me that I've never felt before. I suddenly didn't feel weak, I suddenly felt angry. But why was I angry? My legs were moving, without even thinking, and before I knew it I was between the two outraged men. Time seemed like it slowed down by a mile, I could see them coming straight at each other, with me in the middle, I lifted my hands, why would I think this would work? Why would I think this would help? It wasn't going to change anything. They came faster and faster. Until they almost crashed into me. But everything paused.
"EVERYONE STOP!" My hands made it into the air, both telling each other to stop this nonsense. But I could feel a tingling sensation come from the tip of my fingers. I closed my eyes when a gust of wind suddenly emerged. Where did this come from? I hyperventilated from this the sudden movement I made. When I opened one eye, I didn't expect everything to be silent. I lifted my head abruptly, and looked at each direction of where the two men would have been, but except they weren't. They were a few feet away, laying on the ground rubbing their heads, like they have been blasted from a gust a wind and sent flying miles away from each other.
"STOP FIGHTING!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Why was I so angry? "I'VE BEEN THROUGH TOO MUCH!I CANT HANDLE ANYMORE FIGHTING, ESPECIALLY WITH YOU TOO!" I stopped. I gasped for breath after I screamed bloody murder at them, but for some reason, it felt good..
When I looked over, I saw Herobrine get up slowly, and look at me, while Lukas stood on the ground, eyes widened with shock and disbelief. What happened...?
"Heh." Herobrine laughed. "It's about time you showed us you're true power."
Sorry its been a while, been busy the past few months, still planning on finishing the story, don't worry :)
