Chapter 19

Hey peoples so... This chapter is written a bit differently so... Yeah, note the time.
...
Percy's POV

We trudged along the hot sticky road. I kicked a rock until, sadly, it fell off the cliff. "Hey... What if I fell off the cliff?" I asked. "How would you feel?" I asked having nothing else to say.
Phoebe blew a strand of hair out of her face and answered, "Well, it would be an unfortunate loss but, I wouldn't really mind and also, you would die,"
"Seriously? You wouldn't really care?" I asked.
"Not really, there are a million other annoying boys,"
"But I thought we were friends..."
I heard some footsteps from above.
   "Not really, only acquaintances,"
"Then why'd you help me out on my quest?"
"Because of Thalia and she is the lieutenant,"
I rolled my eyes, sort of hurt though. "Well I would care if you were hurt," I said.
I heard a rustle of leaves coming from the random bush near the rocks but I ignored it.
"Of course you would, I am a very likable person," Phoebe said.
   "Heh heh... Sure," I said.
"Was that sarcasm I heard?" Phoebe asked and stopped walking to turn and faced me.
"Of course it was," I said rolling my eyes.
"Well I am a likable person!" Phoebe argued.
   Thalia coughed.
   "Right Thalia?" Phoebe said.
"Umm..." Thalia said looking to the ground. "Sure..."
"Ugh!" Phoebe said raising her hands up to the sky.
"Let's just find Union cave," Phoebe said.
"Umm... About that," I said turning to face the giant drooling manticore.

"Well, I haven't seen you in a while Dr. Thorn,"
"Yes, it has been a while Perseus," the manticore sneered. It reminded me of Draco. "But I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut this small get together short. Same with you Thalia and... Hmm... Oh right, Phoebe!"
"I have killed you many times in the hunt and I'm not afraid to do it again!" Phoebe said.
Thalia yawned. "This should be a piece of cake,"
   "I like cake..." I said.
Phoebe and Thalia reached for their bows until, they realized they didn't have them! "It's up to you Percy! You better not mess up like at westover! Oh hey... There's a cliff." Thalia said.
"Oh great, our fate is in the hands of a boy," Phoebe whined behind me.
Thalia and Phoebe both slowly backed away. "This shouldn't be to hard," I said.
The manticore advanced and I jabbed in front of me, hitting the eye of the manticore. "Oww!" The manticore complained and backed away.
I strolled up to it while it screamed in pain. I sliced it and the manticore exploded into golden dust. "Well," I said touching the cap to the tip of the sword. "Like what that Staples commercial says. That was easy,"
Thalia sighed. "We need weapons just in case,"
"Yeah, we can't just rely on you-a boy- to fight off the monsters," Phoebe agreed
"Well how do we make weapons?" I asked.
"The old fashioned way that Zoë knew, with nature,"
There was a silence. "Well... That was dramatic," I said. "But how do we start?"
"We need to collect materials. We need a couple of rocks, branches or twigs, some leafs, and anything that seems useful," Phoebe said.
"That sounds like too much work,"
   "Too bad boy!"
"We should work together, so we don't get lost,"
"I think we should split up, we could cover more ground. We just need a signal to meet,"
"I agree with Phoebe, as long as it's safe," Thalia said.
"Child," I said in a lecturing tone. "Nothing is safe, NOTHING!"
"Jeez," Thalia said. "Well, I got an idea, if we need help, just start a fire and let the smoke should show,"
I sighed. "Fine, we need a place to meet,"
"I'll stay here and just come back." Thalia said.
"Okay, let's begin!" Phoebe said and went the way we just came.
I sighed and started walking. I saw a twig and picked it up, I saw another one and picked it up I saw a pebble and didn't pick it up. This was going to take a while. After what seemed like a while, I looked back from where I had came. Luckily, I was still on the same path. I sighed wondering if I should go back. My arms were getting pretty full. Suddenly, I heard a scream.

Phoebe's POV

I walked along the thin trail of the warm cliff. Why did I let Thalia make me help this boy? Boys are always trouble. I shouldn't of helped him. We walked in silence. As a hunter, I tried to pay attention to all the small details going on. All the noises and the scenery. I had the creeping feeling we were being watched and quickly looked back and studied the upper side of the cliff. I looked forwards again. We walked in silence. Finally Percy said something, "Hey... What if I fell off the cliff?" Percy asked. "How would you feel?"
I blew a strand of hair out of my face and thought about it for a minute. Finally, I answered "Well, it would be an unfortunate loss but, I wouldn't really mind and also, you would die," I added
"Seriously? You wouldn't really care?" Percy asked.
"Not really, there are a million other annoying boys,"
"But I thought we were friends..."
   "Not really, only acquaintances,"
I was just getting warmed up. I really needed to work on my comebacks. I was losing my touch. Atlanta had even pointed it out.
"Then why'd you help me out on my quest?" Percy asked
"Because of Thalia and she is the lieutenant," I said as if it were obvious
Percy rolled his eyes. "Well I would care if you were hurt," Percy said.
For a minute I thought I heard something but figured it was just a bird or something. "Of course you would, I am a very likable person," I said.
   "Heh heh... Sure," Percy said.
I raised my eyebrow. "Was that sarcasm I heard?" I asked and stopped walking to face him
"Of course it was," Percy said with obvious sass, rolling his eyes. That's my thing! Well... Sort of. I can't let a boy outdo me.
"Well I am a likable person!" I argued.
   Thalia coughed...
   "Right Thalia?" I asked
"Umm..." She said, turning red and quickly looking to the ground. She can't seriously side with Percy. "Sure..." She answered.
"Ugh!" I said raising her hands up to the sky. "Let's just find Union cave,"
"Umm... About that," Percy said and I turned to see what Percy was talking about and noticed that annoying manticore.

"Well, I haven't seen you in a while Dr. Thorn," Percy said.
I remembered the time where we-the hunters of Artemis-saved  Percy, Thalia, and that satyr... Grover from the manticore but, sadly, Annabeth got captured. I thought of all those times too with Zoë where we fought the manticore together. "Yes, it has been a while Perseus, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut this small get together short. Same with you Thalia and... Hmm... Oh right, Phoebe!" The manticore said
"I have killed you many times in the hunt and I'm not afraid to do it again!" Phoebe said.
I yawned. "This should be a piece of cake,"
   "I like cake..." Percy said.
Me and Thalia reached for our bows at the same time. I realized I didn't have it and so did Thalia. We glanced at each other and I knew we were thinking the same thing which was: it was up to Percy to save us. "It's up to you Percy! You better not mess up like at westover! Oh hey... There's a cliff." Thalia noted.
"Oh great, our fate is in the hands of a boy," I complained from behind Percy. Hey, if Percy was fighting, I need a head start for running. The manticore advanced towards Percy while Percy just uncapped riptide and jabbed in front of him, hitting the eye of the manticore. "Oww!" The manticore yelled and backed up.
Percy practically skipped up to it while it screamed in agony. Percy sliced up the manticore with ease and it exploded into golden dust. "Well," Percy said. "Like what that Staples commercial says. That was easy,"
"We need weapons just in case," Thalia said.
"Yeah, we can't just rely on you-a boy- to fight off the monsters," I said.
"Well how do we make weapons?" Percy asked.
"The old fashioned way that Zoë knew, with nature,"
There was a long silence. "Well... That was dramatic," Percy said. "But how do we start?"
"We need to collect materials. We need a couple of rocks, branches or twigs, some leafs, and anything that seems useful," I explained.
"That sounds like too much work," Percy complained.
   "Too bad boy!"
"We should work together, so we don't get lost,"
"I think we should split up, we could cover more ground. We just need a signal to meet,"
"I agree with Phoebe, as long as it's safe," Thalia said.
"Child," Percy said in an annoying tone. "Nothing is safe, NOTHING!"

Percy sighed. "Fine, we need a place to meet,"
"I'll stay here and just come back." Thalia said.
"Okay, let's begin!" I summed up and went the way we came before.
Every so often, I would stop walking to pick up a rock, and a branch. Suddenly, I was in a forest. I blinked, surprised and raised an eyebrow. "Umm..." I mumbled.
"Come on," I heard a familiar voice say. The voice sounded accented and ancient.
I hid behind a tree and peeked out. I saw the whip of a braid and a bow. There were two people from what I could tell. I quietly climbed the tree and looked below. I couldn't believe what I saw! It was... It was... Zoë!
There was a flash and boom then I was back on the cliff. "What?" I said to myself.
    Suddenly, I heard a scream.

Hermione's POV

I opened my eyes and looked up. Harry was at the doorway with a scythe by his side. He sighed. "Those stupid cyclopes had disobeyed my orders and had sent Perseus and his narrow minded little friends into the Prosomoíosi woods. Perseus is my kill so, I need you two to make sure he gets out alive. So move," he ordered.
I glanced at Ron as we both slowly got up and trudged forward. I quickly glanced at Harry, looking into his now golden eyes for any sign that the real him was still in there somewhere. If it was in there, I didn't see it. "Move," Harry ordered.
I slowly trudged along until we reached the door. Harry opened it with ease and we all walked through, the door still open. I could make a run for it, i thought. I might be able to get some distance but what about Ron. I glanced over towards him and held his hand. Harry opened the rusted door and pushed us in.

The blinding bright light of the sun blinded my eyes making it hard to see. I squinted and, eventually, got used to the light. From behind, I heard a soft thud. Ron picked it up. "It's... A watch," Ron said.
There were two. One read 9:52 and the other read 3:31. "Here," I said fastening one to Ron's wrist. "This one's the actual time," I explained giving him the one that read 9:52. "This one's the time here," I explained gesturing to the one I was putting on
"Okay but... How do we find them?" Ron asked.
"First we need to see if they got my note and then we have to-"
"Ugh. This seems like so much work. Let's just start already," Ron complained and started walking.
"I wish I had my wand," I mumbled and trotted after Ron.
I felt the burn of the hot sun on my back. I stopped walking. "I put the note here, that means that they're on the right track," I said.
We continued walking. The mountain path started to thin, making it possible for only one of us to go at a time. The path was so narrow that if you put a watermelon down on the trail, it would just fall down the mountain since there was nothing on the other side. I slowly started to advance, hugging the rocks for support. "Careful," Ron muttered.
I continued walking, inch by inch, step by step, slowly increasing the speed I was at. I looked to the right. There was a turn coming up. I moved my arms to the other side of the wall and carefully, gently placed my foot down causing the rock below it to break! Accidentally putting to much weight down on that foot, I fell down and quickly caught myself on the ledge of the mountain. "Hermione!" Ron said looking at me.
I was now hanging on, hoping that I won't fall off. "If i fall, keep going. Look for Percy and show him the way out!" I advised
My fingers were now slipping. "Hermione!" Ron repeated.
I couldn't hold on any longer and fell. I screamed.

4:22

As I fell, I saw my life saw through my eyes. Spending time with my parents, going to school, learning about my magic, the letter to Hogwarts, meeting Harry and Ron, all those little adventures with Harry and Ron, correcting Ron at everything, kissing Ron, winning the war, continuing going to Hogwarts, meeting Percy, suspecting that he was evil, finding out he wasn't, the train ride, getting captured, and finally, now. I saw the bottom and braced myself, crossing my arms and... I landed... I opened my eyes. I was now in a different place. It was a wide room, all white. Underneath was a mattress. I got up. Where was I, I wondered. I looked around and saw a mirror. The thing about it was that it wasn't a mirror at all, it was a glass wall revealing the cliff that Ron was on. I checked the watch. It was now 4:25. I wandered around the room and noticed a door. I slowly opened it and was blinded by a glaring white light.
...
I didn't proofread so... Sorry if there's mistakes. Anyway, don't worry, Hermione isn't actually blind.
