Every one looks over at Tony. Steve sits up straighter as he speaks. "Tony, what does that mean?"
Tony stands up. It's been too quiet for a little too long, so I told JARVIS to alert me anytime something large and unscheduled enters the upper atmosphere."

The elevator doors open and Rhodey steps back in to the room. "Did you hear that warning?"

"Yeah, we sure did." Clint replies.

Rhodey walks towards the windows to look at the sky but before he gets there a blast hits the glass and explodes, sending him flying backwards along with glass and debris.

There are two more blasts right after that causing explosions on multiple floors of the tower. Floors are collapsing on each other. Nat, Clint and Thor fall through the floor down several levels. Tony, Bruce and Steve are thrown elsewhere on the same floor. You and Loki are buried under rubble and debris from the floors above. There is silence as the explosions and cave-ins stop.

Clint wakes up and can see Nat unconscious under pylons that have been shattered. Thor is already standing, brushing himself off and heading to Nat.

Steve and Tony stand up coughing trying to clear their lungs of all the dust and smoke as they try to see through the haze. Bruce comes to and starts brushing himself off. Steve and Tony look at each other in fear, both knowing that Thanos is here for you and the stone. Both of them start calling out for you unsure of where you are and if you are ok.

"Lark!!" Steve calls out as he picks up his shield.

"Lark, where are you?" Tony calls out.

Thor easily clears the debris releasing Nat from her confinement. She is bleeding from a gash in her head. She grabs her side as Clint gives her a hand to stand up.

"How bad is it?" He asks as she pulls at the hem of her shirt and sees a large cut.

"It's superficial, I'll be fine." She says as she puts her shirt back down. "We need to get up there and find Lark."

Loki moves under the rubble as he tries to get his bearings in the mess. He can see you laying under a mix of furniture, concrete and glass. He can't tell if you are breathing. He tries to crawl over to you but debris keeps falling down from above causing him to dodge it. He hears noise and looks across the room to see Thor helping Nat and Clint out of the hole in the floor.

Your eyes start to flutter open. You got hit in the head so everything is a little blurry at first. The ringing in your ears starts to calm down, that's when you hear Steve's voice.

"Lark? Lark, can you hear me? Where are you?" Steve yells moving debris out of the way as he goes, hoping to find you.

It's hard to breath but you call out. "Steve?" You try to move but realize you are trapped by several beams. You look around you and can see Loki trying to get to you. You try to lift the beams off of you but they are two heavy for you alone.

You holler out to Loki. "Loki, help. I can't move." You hear Steve once more calling your name. You do your best to raise your voice. "Steve, I'm here! I'm trapped."

Loki is finally able to stand up and is almost to you. You try once more to move the heavy beams but you can't. You let your head rest back on the floor. As Loki reaches, you see Steve's silhouette in the smoke filled air.

"Love, I'm here. We'll get you out of this." Loki starts lifting a beam when Steve's hands grab the other side.

Steve looks down at you. "Do you think you can move?"

"Yeah, I think so." You reply.

"Ok when we get this big one up, pull yourself out from under it." Steve looks up at Loki. "Ready?"

They both lift the beam together and you pull yourself out from under it. Loki puts out a hand to help you up. You wince in pain.

"Are you hurt, my love?" He says as he holds your arm.

"I'll be ok. It feels like a couple broken ribs, I'll be Ok." Steve walks over, picking you up in a hug making you wince again but you are glad to feel his arms around you.

He looks down at you. "Are you Ok?"

You look up at him. " I think so."

You look around at the destruction and see that the rest of the team has gathered around you.
You say what everyone is thinking. "This is it, isn't it? It's Thanos."

Tony approaches you and touches your arm. "We need to get you somewhere safe now."

You place your hand on Tony's. "No, I'm not running. This has to end tonight."

Thor speaks up. "Lady Stark, are you sure?"

You nod your head. "This is what we've been preparing for. I'm taking my stand right now, this needs to end."

"We should get out of here before anymore of this building comes down." Clint says as a piece of ceiling falls in front of him.

You look at Clint. "You're right. I don't think we should wait here. We need to take the fight to him."

"Before the explosion I could see a ship over the park." Rhodey says.

"Good. We'll take the fight there. We need to try and keep this away from the crowds, less casualties." You say as you feel Loki's hand in yours. You look up at Loki but speak to everyone. "We stop Thanos tonight, whatever it takes"

Tony has already suited up. "Well, what are you slackers waiting for." Even facing this threat he cracks a joke to lighten the mood.

Steve steps in to Captain mode." All right everyone grab your gear and meet downstairs."

The team breaks, going separate ways to grab their weapons. Loki and Thor leave heading down and out of the building. You go to follow but Steve grabs your arm and pulls you in to a kiss. It's a mixture of absolute love and fear. A tear falls down your cheek, you both know what is at stake.

Steve breaks the kiss and looks down at you. "There's something I want to ask you."

A small explosion goes off in the distance and the building shudders. You look up at him knowing. "You can ask me when we're safe and this is all over."

He smiles and rests his forehead against yours. "You're right. We need to get out of here."

Thankfully it was a Friday night and only a few security guards were in the building. You and Steve made sure they were all out and safe as you made your way down and out of the tower.

The rest of the team meet you on the boulevard in front of the tower. Emergency services have started to arrive, Steve and Thor instruct them to push their lines back and help any injured away from the park.

Steve and Thor walk back up to the group.

"So who's ready for a walk in the park?" Nat says with a sarcastic smile on her face.

Loki is standing next to you and is once again holding your hand. You look up at him and whisper. "Remember your promise."

You turn to the team. "Let's do this." All of you turn towards the park and start to walk.
