You are about hundred feet from the entrance to the park when ten Outriders block your path. Clint and Rhodey look at each other. "We've got this, go!"

The Outriders charge as Clint sends several arrows their way. Rhodey takes to the air and starts blasting. They are hard to kill but not invincible. The rest of you advance into the park, you can see the massive ship ahead of you. There are hundreds of Outriders between you and Thanos.

Your step hesitates and Steve turns to you. "You can run, none of us will think any less of you. I'd actually prefer it."

You stop and take a deep breath. You hear Hyde. "We do not run. This is our fight, our life."
Your eyes burn a dark blue as the air around you becomes electrified. You twist your wrists, manifesting two burning blades of pure power.

"No! I'm done living in fear. I'm not running. I'm not hiding!" Your voice doubles over as your power continues to grow.

It's like the Outriders could sense your decision, they start to charge at all of you. Each of you took your stance and dug your feet in. As the first wave hits, it must be 15 Outriders to each of you. Nat and Tony are back to back each blasting at the creatures. Bruce has now turned to Hulk and is pummeling them with his bare hands.

Steve is taking them on with his shield, kicking and punching them. You hear a voice next you. It's Loki, he has traded his daggers for swords.

"Shall we show them how it's done, Love?" He gives you a smirk.

You look at Loki, smiling at him as you swing your sword behind you, slicing an Outrider in half.
"I think we should."

You both advance into a group of Outriders, swinging your swords as you go. Easily cutting them down in unison.

Steve looks around for you, his heart racing, he sees you with Loki and his panic lessens. Rhodey and Clint have rejoined the team. Wave after wave of Outriders continue to come at all of you. You don't realize that you have started to move away from Loki as you continue to fight.

Suddenly your swords are knocked out of your hands from behind by an unseen force. You turn to face a member of the Black Order, Corvus Glaive. He stands watching you for a second before he waves on another group of Outriders.

As they rush towards you, you hear Hyde. "I'm bored with this, be done with these dogs. I want him."

"Fine, for once I agree with you." Your eyes glow more intensely as does your power.

You use your power to lift three Outriders in to the air. You fling your arms as if swinging your blades, the Outriders are ripped in half. You let them fall to the ground and kill three more the same way.

You shake your hands and materialize two whips burning with your power just like the swords. You twirl them in the air and let them crack in front of you. You see ten more creatures headed towards you. You start throwing the whip back and forth letting them crack. When they are almost on top of you, you throw the whips again crossing your arms. In one fluid motion, the whips becoming just an extension of your arms, you uncross them. This sends the whips out hitting their mark and cutting the Outriders down. You spin as you sense more coming behind you, the entire time Corvus stands watching you. Again your whips cut the oncoming creatures in half.

You turn and face Corvus Glaive. "Are you done letting others do the fighting for you?"

Of course this enrages him and he starts running towards you. You raise your whips sending them flying at Corvus. He uses his staff to block them. You throw the whips again, Corvus goes to block them with his staff once again. You give your wrist an extra flick and the ends of the whips curl around the staff. You pull on them ripping the staff from his hands. It comes flying back to you. You throw it behind you as you run towards him. Corvus is highly skilled in hand to hand and has an extreme height advantage on you.

Steve looks across the field and sees you fighting. Even though it looks like you've got it handled he wants to rush over to help you but he's attacked by Proxima. His attention is drawn away from you as he fights Proxima. Loki is nearby and sees you also. He is fighting off wave after wave of Outriders. Thor is locked in a fight with Cull Obsidian, it's painfully obvious that Thor has the upper hand .

You have played with Corvus long enough, he has been a challenge, but you hear Hyde.
" Enough playing with this fool. Send him a clear message." She says.

"Fine, I was just getting in some really good cardio though." You banter back.

" End it now, we have bigger things to worry about." She snaps back.

You take in a deep breath as Corvus rushes at you. You release a massive burst of energy throwing him halfway across the park. A smile crosses your lips as you watch the body disappear the further it goes.

The smile quickly fades as you hear the voice of your nightmares.

"So little one, we finally meet."

You turn, having to look up to make eye contact. Thanos stands before you towering over you casting an ominous shadow.

"You are tinier than I imagined. I must say I am even more impressed after hearing about the fight you gave my children."

Your voice doubles over as you speak. "I'm happy to give you a personal demonstration."

He gives you a smile. "Oh that won't be necessary my child." He lightly touches your hair.

" Oh I think it is, creep.!" You shove his hand away and send a blast of power straight to his chest.

He stumbles back a bit not expecting such force. He quickly closes the space between you swing a large blade at you. You easily evade it, there is an advantage to being much smaller. You continue send blasts of power, alternating with punches to his body.

"Don't stop! We can wear him down! We just need to keep going." Hyde yells in your head.

You continue your assault on him but the goliath shows no signs of slowing down. He sends a backhanded hit across your body sending you reeling backwards on to the ground.

Thanos stands over you looking down. "Enough of this game!" He raises his hand, you see the gauntlet with two stones already in place.

"That's useless without all the stones." You hiss back at him trying to hide the fear in your voice.

You raise both hands as the power stars to swirl around them. He looks at them giving you a menacing smile.

"I need all of them for my plan but I can still wield their power individually. You see this one here?" He points to the bright red stone. "It gives me the power to alter reality."

He raises the gauntlet and the stone starts to glow, the brighter it gets the more your power dims. "You see I can us it to temporarily change the Mind Stone in to a simple rock."

"NO!" You say trying to summon your power back.

He grabs both of your hands, his engulfing yours. He lifts you up in the air bringing you to look him in the eyes.

"I'll never help you. Go to hell!" You yell at him.

"I don't need all of you for my plan but your added talents could be useful, my child." He says looking you up and down.

"They are still useless with out the rest of the Stone." You reply.

"It's all just a matter of time until all the Stones are in my possession. No matter how I get them."  Thanos has your arms stretched out pulling you to your limits. All you can yell through the pain is Loki's name. "Loki!!"

He looks up to see you in Thanos's clutches. He can already see in your eyes what is about to happen.

You plead with your eyes and your voice. " Please..?"

Thanos thinks you are pleading with him. " Your pleads will do nothing for you. I have what I came for. I will be able to finish my plan soon." He stretches your arms again and you can feel the tendons starting to tear. You scream in pain.

Steve turns at the sounds of your pain. He sees your gaze is set on Loki. He watches as you silently  mouth the words.

"Do it"

Loki understands what you want. It is going against every thing his heart is telling him. He raises his hands and chokes back the knot in his throat.

You turn your sight to Steve and mouth the words. " I love you, until the end of time."

Both Steve and Loki see you take a deep breath and your whole body relaxes. Loki knows that is his cue.

Steve knows what you are doing and tears start to form. " Lark, Noooo!" He screams at you but he's too far to stop it.

Loki summons every once of his magic and begins to pull at you. You start to scream and tears run down your face. Loki pulls with all his force as the stone fragments are ripped from your spine and fly in to the palm of his hands. He quickly disappears teleporting elsewhere.

With your last breath you look at Thanos. " I win asshole." Your body is dead weight in Thanos's grip.

His head turns to the sky and he yells. "NO!!!" He takes a second to look around the battle and calls a retreat.

" You may have delayed the inevitable but look at the cost. I will get that stone."  He yells at the team. Thanos drops your body where he stands. He and the Black Order, along with hordes of Outriders are picked up by beams and disappear in to the ships. 

Tony had heard your screams and watched in horror as you sacrificed yourself for the universe.
Steve runs, sliding up to you and cradles your limp body to his chest, rocking you back and forth as he cries uncontrollably. He doesn't see Tony land and fall to his knees in front of your body. His helmet retracts as the realization of what has happened spreads across his face. He slumps to the ground numb.

Suddenly Loki reappears, he had been there the whole time masking his presence along with the Stone.

Thankfully Thor is close enough to Loki as he curls the stones in his fist and holds them to his chest. He starts to sway as his knees start to buckle.

Thor quickly grabs his brother and helps hold him up. Thor knows that his brother helped save the universe but Loki's heart has been destroyed doing so.

Slowly the rest of the team surrounds Steve and Tony as they look on numb. Clint looks at Loki with rage.

He walks up to him and pounds on his chest. "Why! Why did you do it.?" Loki just blankly stares at him.

Nat comes up behind him and grabs his fist before he can hit him again. "Stop! You know she wanted a contingency, we all did. He was the only willing to do it."

Thor looks at his brother, trying to fathom the pain he is feeling. "I'm sorry brother."
