The next day you meet Tony, Steve and Loki down in the training room. You look at Loki.

" Loki, can you give us a minute?"

Loki nods and exits the room. You look at both of them. " I know you're not going to like what I have to say, but I need you to understand."

" What's wrong Lark?" Steve questions.

"I need to train with Loki alone."

As expected it didn't go over well. Steve and Tony start talking over each other.

"Why would you even consider that?" "What if something happens again?" "Do you actually think you can trust Loki enough for that?"

You raise your hands up to try and quiet them down. " I understand your concerns, but please hear me out."

You look at Steve. " I'm positive something will happen again, that's why we're doing this in the first place. I can't have you see me like that again, not until I have it under control at least. I won't be able to focus on what I need to because I will be too concerned about how you might see me."

Steve starts to object. " Lark, you know I don't think any less of you because of what I see."

" You say that but your face and eyes say a different thing when it happens, and I can't keep doing that."

Tony interjects. " So far both times you've needed one of us to snap you out of it though. What is going to happen when we're not there? Do you think Loki cares enough to pull you back? I sure as hell don't."

"Tony, I thought about that too. I already had to trust Loki to a point, to even agree to this. I know his methods have not been the best as of late. So I've ask Bruce to help me program JARVIS to monitor me while training, if my readings reach a certain level an electrical shock will be sent through the tracker to pull me out of it. I will also let Loki know the same thing, if I become to aggressive again he can alert JARVIS to send the shock."

"I think this is a really bad idea Lark." Steve says with a sternness in his voice.

You are not wavered by it though and stand with your hands on your hips. "Maybe but it's my decision ultimately. I may have been physically changed in that explosion but I'm still an intelligent adult and can make my own choices. I know you don't understand or agree with my decision but please try and respect it."

Both Tony and Steve can see there is no changing your mind on the matter and accept defeat. Steve comes over and gives you a giant hug. "Please be careful, I don't want to have to kill Loki but I will if something goes wrong."

"I know" you look over at Tony " I'd think you'd have to stand in line though."

Tony looks at you over his glasses. "I need to apologize to Pepper  if this is what it's like putting up with me. You are definitely living up to the Stark genetics. Seriously though, please watch your back with Reindeer Games."

You walk over and give him a hug. " I'm a Stark, do you honestly think it's going to be easy to get rid of me." You chuckle and kiss his cheek.

Loki walks back in. " Are we going to train today darling, or not?" Steve grumbles as he and Tony walk past him out of the room.

"Yes, Yes we are. There is something we need to discuss first."

"I wondered when you were going to tell me about the voice?" Loki says catching you off guard.

You look at him stunned. " I don't know what you're talking about."

He steps towards you closing the space between you. " Pet, You can't hide things from me when will you learn that."

You look down at the floor. "How long have you known?"

"I've known since your vision of Thanos."

Tears start to form in your eyes and your voice cracks. "Am I going crazy?"

Loki gently touches your chin and raises your eyes to his. "No love, you are not."

You feel a huge weight lifted off your chest just hearing his words. " Then what is wrong with me?" You continue to hold his gaze.

"It's the Mind Stone. It's created a kind of duality with in you." His face is gentle and kind at that moment.

" What do mean by duality?"  You begin to wonder if he's wrong and you are going crazy.

He waves his hand and a book appears. " I found this in your library some time ago and find it may help you understand." He hands you the book and you turn it over to read the spine.

"Is this some kind of joke Loki, because if it is it's extremely cruel?" You continue to look at the book.

" No love, I'm quite serious. Does it not answer some of your questions?" He says almost hurt.

"Loki, it's Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. It's a work of fiction." You are trying to grasp what he is implying. "Do mean there is two of me?"

"Yes, it's what the Mind Stone does. It divides and amplifies the worst of people. It feeds on all the emotions a person suppresses and gives them a life of their own." You start to make the connections and realize he's right.

You finally look up at him, his gaze seeming to have never left yours. "So my emotions are activating the stones, creating my powers."

He shakes his head. " Just the opposite darling, the stones are feeding and manipulating your emotions. Your anger, your frustration, your fears even your desires, they will eventually over take your kindness, your better judgement even your humanity."

You start to tear up and take a step back reeling from the realization. " So, I'll eventually become a monster and no longer be me?"

"Not if you can learn to control that side, but to do so you need to learn to accept it. If you continue to deny and fight it, it will destroy "Lark" as we know her. It won't be easy, I can promise that. It will get worse before it gets better, but I promise love, I won't let you get lost in there." As he taps his finger to your temple. " I have gotten quite used to having another annoying Stark personality around."

"Why are you being so nice to me, that's not like you?" Now he looks down at the ground.

"Because, what I will have to do to help you control that side won't be. The other day was just the tip of the iceberg, as you say. I will be neither kind nor gentle with you."

Once again you are overwhelmed with emotions. You can't tell up from down, your breathing starts to quicken.

" Listen to him, release us...we can have so much fun...we can have fun with him" The voice is back and louder than ever. You push against your temples to make it stop.

"It's speaking to you isn't it Pet?" Loki says knowing that he can hear it too.

"No, I can't listen to it. I just want it to stop. I can't do this Loki, I'm not strong enough to control it." You rush out of the room leaving Loki standing there. An unsettling grin spreads across his face.

"Oh pet, it's so right, we are going to have so much fun. I'll make sure of it." He's gone in a blink of an eye.
