(Y/n) yawned getting up early as he stretched. He was a bit nervous as he heard fireworks and looked out in the distance seeing fireworks over the kingdom as he sighed. Bowsette knocked on the door as he let her in. "Are you ready?" She asked. He nodded. She looked at him and smiled motioning him to follow along. He did so. He was a bit nervous. Fighting in front of an entire kingdom against others won't be helpful or any less dangerous. "You seem nervous, and sense the tournament is mostly filled with people who wanna serve Mario, I think it's best you get a little advantage." She Smiled. He was confused and followed as they arrived to a door with a star on it. She knocked as the door opened showing an old mushroom walk out. "Ah, your highness, so this is the one? A bit bent out of shape, well better than another Mario." He said motioning them to follow. (Y/n) grumbled a bit following the old man. "So what's this about old man?" He asked only to get hit over the head with his walking cane as he groaned in pain. "You will address me as sir young man! Where are your manners?" He asked. He dusted himself off and got a chest. "Here." He said having the small chest in front of him. He opened the chest and sees the gloves as he nodded and looked to him. "So? Gloves? Huh I was expecting more of a sword with triangles or you know maybe some kind of arm cannon?" He said only to get hit again as he grumbled and looked at him. "These gloves are magic." He said. (Y/n) blinked. He sighed looking at them. "Really? Magic? How so?" He asked as the old man walked over. "Can you hold fire with your bare hands? Can you use an ice flower without freezing your hands? No! I didn't think so, what you think Mario is just that strong? He's a plumber sitting a throne that doesn't belong to him!" The old man said getting riled up about Mario as Bowsette calmed him down as he slowly relaxed. (Y/n) thought about it. "I guess your right. Okay then." He said putting the gloves on. It felt different kinda strong but also natural. "You must have balance when using those gloves, too much of one side and the gloves with give off chaotic and discord thoughts only for you to listen to them instead of them listening to you." He said warning him as he put away the chest. "Is that what happened to Mario?" He asked as the old man looked at him. "Nope, he's just fat and evil. Well good luck!" He said kicking both Bowsette and (Y/n) out of his room. Bowsette was on top of him and giggled looking at him. "So, need anything before you leave?" She asked. He was blushing bright red and shook his head as she giggled getting up and winked walking off. He blushed watching her go.

He arrived to the kingdom and saw the festival taking place seeing some people smile and some are just putting up with it. He walked around and saw some people signing up for the tournament as he got in line. He was a bit nervous and sighed as it was his turn. He sighed his name and took a number as he walked off. "Good evening everyone! I hope your enjoying this wonderful and greatest of days in MY kingdom!" Mario said happily and laughed sitting on his throne. (Y/n) sighed listening to him. "I do apologize but the princess was still unable to make it today. Maybe next year." Mario smirked and laughed as he grinned. "Well, do you best in the tournament. If you win, you'll be working for me or one of the many "Friends" who made this day possible!" He laughed as everyone continued with the festival.

Soon enough the match was starting as Bowsette was at the castle nervous as she sighed looking out to the kingdom. Everyone was getting into the cage match. (Y/n) entered as people stared and judged him. He sighed and looked at the gloves he was wearing and closed his eyes. "Please let this work." He said seeing everyone join in and fight. He hanged back seeing this. A koopa looked over carrying a hammer as he ran at him. He stayed calm and used his left hand catching the hammer as he glared at him hitting him hard seeing him fly back. He saw an alligator grin and ran at him. He was hit back and groaned dogging as best as he could and hit the alligator hard in the nose as it stepped back looking up. (Y/n) kicked him away only to knock him out. The cage match continued as (Y/n) was the last one standing sense the other fighter was completely warn out. "Well, I must say, not to bad." Mario said walking over. (Y/n) kneeled down as he bowed his head in response. "Your highness." He said as he tried not to throw up in his mouth. "Please leave the formality's for the public, you did good! Walk with me, you deserve a seat at the table, that is where we will decided where to have you located." He grinned. (Y/n) walked along side him as he remained calm and soon entered the castle. Bowsette was in her room as a knock was heard she opened the door showing a Goomba with a letter as she read it and smiled seeing (Y/n) had one as she giggled and smiled relieved. "Thank you. Please be safe." Bowsette said looking towards the kingdom.
