I gasp loudly as I sat up, breathing heavily as I look around to find myself in an alleyway. It was dark, oddly cold, and the last thing I remember...was that fucking box.

I look down to myself to see I was wearing my old superhero suit, without my helmet as I breath heavily. I glance to my right to see my Shield against the wall, an M16A1 And a combat belt with pouches for the M16. I quickly stood up and looked around, seeing it was a normal old alleyway I grab the belt and put it on, placed my M1911A1 on my holster, and placed my shield on my back as I exit the alleyway and look up.

"Where the fuck am I?"

The moon...it was shattered. With pieces of it just floating near it. I glance at my flask that I was about to drink in my hand then at the moon.

"If taking drugs is uncool I am the most uncool motherfucker on the planet..."

I mutter the joke I said when I had to record for that anti-drug bullshit Stan Edgar approved.

I notice one store lit up as I approach it, for some reason I felt fine, normal...it was an odd feeling. I glance at the name and chuckle at it.

"From Dust Till' Dawn what a fucking name."

I mutter as I enter the shop I see an old man manning the counter as I approached him, My M16A2 Ready in my arms.

"Excuse me, sir, do you mind telling me where I am?"

I ask him kindly as I needed to be careful and keep a low profile. I could tell the old man didn't recognize me so this can't be Earth, who wouldn't recognize Me?

"Vale, sir, do you wish to buy a map?"

He asks as I nod.

"Uhhh yeah, sure."

I say as he nods.

"You may browse the shop as I get them."

I gave him a nod as I look around, it looked like a mix of a jewelry store and a weapon store a fucking 7/11 I notice a red hooded woman reading a magazine, I walked beside her and grabbed a magazine too, and as I read it to get more information.

I also heard...music coming from the girl's head?

Before I could think any of it, I hear a guy come up to us as I turns around, the guy looked like a general jackass in a suit holding some type of weapon.

"Put your hands up and give me all your cash!"

He shouts as I tap the shoulder of the girl as she took off some sort of device from her ears and turns.

"Are you trying to rob me?"

I ask with a smirk as he looked confused as I noticed the kid seemed to also be waiting for a response.

"Oh yeah, this is a robbery-"

I didn't let him finish as I quickly punch him in the stomach, sending him flying out the window as he crashes into a car I pulled the kid behind cover.

"Stay here and take cover."

I told her as I quickly see a confused henchman coming up, I grabbed my shield, slinging the rifle on my back as I quickly rush in. I body slammed one of them with my shield, breaking the shelf behind him. I could have killed them all easily, but I needed to interrogate them for information.

I holster my pistol and using my shield, I aimed at the two other henchmen and fire two rounds at their legs. They scream in pain as I felt a gust of wind behind me as I turn around to see the kid standing over a knocked-out henchman holding a big ass scythe I glance at the kid.

"...Good Job."

I say, not expecting that from her. I assumed she was a supe as I notice a man in a white suit running away, we both gave chase. As I notice the girl's speed was somehow a bit faster than mine. She had to be a supe.

As she quickly jumps with probably her superpowers. I quickly use the alleyway walls, grabbing the ladder and jumping from the wall next to it to the other, until I reached the top as I see some sort of aircraft hovering. All of the sudden some sort of light was fired from the aircraft heading straight for the girl I quickly ran, my shield up as I blocked it as soon as a purple orb formed around the kid. I glance behind me to see some sort of...stripper cosplaying as a teacher?

I quickly duck as a female figure from the aircraft began firing orbs at the woman she seemed to also fight back as the aircraft flew away.

I breathed heavily, placing my pistol in its holster and placing my shield behind me as I turned around. To see the kid staring at me and the Milf with all googly eyes.

"Are you two huntsmen and huntress?!"

She asks both of us as we both look blankly at her.

"You better let me go before I smash your brains in."

I told the woman as I was the only one cuffed with sci-fi-looking cuffs, beside me was the girl who looked like she got caught stealing candy in the middle of the night.

As she continues to shout at the girl, I suddenly get flashbacks of my father...calling me a disappointment. The abuse, he was never proud of me, when I took that fucking compound, he said I took the shortcut.
