Chapter 6|Historian

Link was panting from running all the way back to the entrance of Castle Town. "Hey-!" He called to the guards, who were still there, but getting ready to leave. "Ah! Hello, young man. Have you enjoyed your visit so far?" The older guard smiled, holding his helmet under his arm. "Yes, of course. Thanks for asking. But, I need a favor, if you are willing to help.."

"Of course we will help. That's our job after all." The other one chuckled. "Alright, but I need to see Princess Zelda." Link announced, looking as if he just solved his entire problem. "Wait-" "What?" They both said, one right after another. "I need to talk to the historian. And the guards at the castle told me she is the historian.." Link laughed nervously. The older guard sighed. "Sorry, son. We can't get you to see Princess Zelda."

The other guard nodded in agreement. "Really? Damn.." Link muttered. How was he supposed to find out now? "But we can tell you where her teacher is, and he taught her everything she knows."

Link smiled.

In no time, Link was on a horse towards someplace called the Kokiri Forest. Whatever that was, He'd never heard of it. But he never heard of Castle Town either, so...

Apparently an extremely smart historian lived there, and he was the only person to leave and return to that forest in centuries. Which was weird, wouldn't people get lost in a forest and never come back?

Either way, the trip took all night, and link sensed that he was near where he started; those woods with the skullkid's. He swore he saw Steve peek out at him as he galloped past. But anyway, he rode into the forest, which had.. miniature things. The paths were tiny, and the bridges were a bit too small for his horse, meaning he left it outside the forest for when he returned, and overall it was just little!

Link walked into the village- and everything was just a little too small. Just a tad- but that made sense, because small only small children were seen. And they crowded around link very quickly. "Wow! A Hylian!" A little girl squealed. "Where did you come from? What did you see? It was scary, right?"

He was immediately bombarded with questions from all directions. "Ah- Hello everyone." As link started speaking, they all went quiet. And immediately link got nervous because, oh,, like 20 kids are listening to him. "My name is Link. I'm looking for someone who may have taught Princess Zelda...?" A girl piped up. "Well, we all did! It depends on what you want to know!" Link recoils, surprised that a bunch of kids taught the princess. "Oh... Well, I don't know. About a sword? The bane of all evil.." Another kid piped up. "Well, everyone knows that legend!" he laughed. "But we can teach you."

"How much do you know?" Link asked, raising a bow. "We knew the last kid that wielded it!" Another little girl giggled. "He was dreamy~"

"Alright, so what can you tell me?"
