I Can't Help It If I'm Easily Distracted By Beauty

Dean and Cas sat on their bed planning the wedding. Dean could hardly focus on anything but his angel.

"I'm thinking outdoor wedding," Cas mused. "It'd be perfect. It doesn't matter what time of year it is in Hawaii. It's always so sunny here."

Dean just nodded absentmindedly. "Yeah. That sounds perfect. Summer?"

"I dunno. Maybe. Are you sure we couldn't hire a party planner?"

"We got this, Cas. We don't need a damn party planner. It's our wedding, we'll plan it ourselves."

"Fine then. What about the centerpieces? Roses? Lilies? Chrysanthemums?"

"I don't even know what chrysanthemums are, but I can go with it."

Cas chuckled. "Dean, we need to think about this carefully. Any tiny detail could either make or break this wedding."

"Make or break? What is this, Project Runway?"

Cas laughed. "Make it work, Dean."

"Is that even Project Runway, or are you making up stuff as you go along?"

"Do you realize how often I have no idea what I'm talking about?"

Dean laughed. He rested his head on Cas's shoulder. "I love you, Cas."

"I love you too, Dean. Who's gonna be your best man?"

"I dunno. Probably Benny. What about you?"

"I don't have many friends at all. Nobody would want to be my best man."

"Don't say that. I bet there's plenty of guys who'd wanna be your best man. Like that guy who visited you in the hospital. Balthazar."

"We are friends, but he's not the best man type."

"How come?"

"He hates weddings. Always has. Just trust me."

Dean nodded slightly. "So, when do we get to try cake?"

Cas chuckled. "I'd like to arrange the setting before focusing on food. We need to figure this all out step by step. For example: seating arrangements."

"And how long should that take?"

"Depends. Do you know who you're inviting?"

"Well, I know Sam and Bobby and Benny are gonna be there."

"Yes. Sam will be the ring bearer."

"Oh, that'll be fun. And his boyfriend will be there."

Cas smiled. "Yes, Gabriel. I never would've guessed those two would hook up. What about your other brother, Adam?"

Dean frowned just a slight. "Uh... well, he... we're not exactly close."

"You called him when I was in the hospital to keep an eye on me while you took care of business. How are you not close?"

"We just aren't, okay?"

Cas just nodded. He could tell this was a subject not to be discussed. "Okay. So... small wedding. Seating about... ten people give or take. Shouldn't be too difficult to arrange. Band or DJ?"

"I dunno. Maybe a band so that it can end like How I Met Your Mother."

"What, is Benny looking for his one true love?" Cas joked.

Dean shrugged his shoulders slightly. "He could turn out like Ted. You never know."

"I've met Benny. He's no Ted."

Dean chuckled. "I dunno if I want a band or a DJ. Just pick whatever you want."

"I'm just trying to include you in the decision making process. Work with me, here."

Dean looked up at him. "Cas, can't we deal with this stuff tomorrow or something?"

"Dean. The time is now. I want to get this all out of the way so we have time to plan the honeymoon."

"I think this is all friggin ridiculous. All we need is friends, family, and a priest to hitch us."

"It must be perfect, Dean. We can't let anything fall through the cracks."

"Y'know, Cas, sometimes the most memorable moments are the flawed ones."

Cas scoffed. "Since when are you so poetic?"

"Oh, there's a lot more where that came from."

"Really?" He grinned.

"The moments we cherish most are the ones that don't turn out perfect. Because the imperfections in a moment are what make a moment. There are many ups, and many more downs, but the point is to carry on. Move past the embarrassment, live with the mistakes, and have no regrets. Because perfect doesn't always mean flawless. That's what makes a moment special."

Cas started to tear up. "Oh my god, I love you."

Dean smiled. "And I love you. And your perfect imperfections."
