Cross My Heart And Hope You Die
Dean had never been more ready for anything in his life. He would make him pay. He would be Castiel's hero even if it killed him.
He walked up to the house and peeked through the window. There wasn't much activity inside.
He went to the door and turned the knob. It was unlocked. He got his gun out of his pocket, ready to shoot him. He walked through the door, pointing his gun at an empty room.
He searched every room until he was left with the basement. Meg waited upstairs in case Jimmy tried to get away.
Dean descended down the stairs, his gun at the ready. He turned on the light and saw Jimmy standing a few feet in front of him, a blank look on his face.
Dean pointed the gun at him. "Finally. I've been looking for you."
"I'm sure you have. And now you can finally get a piece of me."
"You'd better believe it."
"Because shooting me will solve all your problems."
"No. It'll solve all of Cas's problems. No more daddy, no more fear."
"Really? Is that what you think? That I meant to shoot my own son?"
"That's what it looked like to me."
"That gun was pointed at you, boy. He got in the way. That wasn't my fault."
"Oh yeah, and you're completely innocent, right?"
"Not at all. I hate that boy, but I'd never shoot him. Not on purpose."
"How can you hate him so much? He's a good kid. He's smart, he's funny, he's beautiful. How can you hate him?"
"Because he ruined my life! My wife, Amelia, she left because she realized she wasn't meant to be a parent! If he had never been born, I'd still be with her!"
"Bullshit."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. That's a load of bullshit. He said that this has been going on for a while now. Do I look like an idiot?"
"Oh, you don't want me to answer that."
"No. I want you to answer me why. Why do you abuse him like that?" Jimmy chuckled.
"Can't you just go back to Kansas and we can forget this ever happened? I'm not saying we should part friends, but we should part."
"Even after everything you've done? To my little angel? No. I don't think so." Dean cocked his gun.
"Fine. Shoot me then. But however will you explain to your precious little angel why his daddy's in a body bag?"
"Don't play games with me."
"Why? Afraid you're gonna lose? Make your choice, Dean. Vengeance or a clear conscience?"
Dean knew he had to make a life changing decision right there and then.
Eliminating the one obstacle that stood between his and Cas's happiness?
Or letting him go and avoiding the judgmental eyes of his beloved?
