Hello everyone! Welcome to yet another week of our lovely recap. I hope you're excited for more amazingly fluffy fluff, or equally as amazing angsty angst, because we sure are! Now that it's getting colder out, be extra sure to take your vitamins and throw on that jacket if you need to, the weather is best enjoyed when you're not sick! ;)

Now, we have a few important announcements before we continue on.

First, sixth_constellation (Fidget) is leaving the team, thank you for all your hard work on the recap. We will miss ya man! <3

Second, we have been working on a Recap Discord Server, named The Recap Hub! In this server, you will be able to communicate with the various teams working on the Recap's various accounts (the Recap team, the Roleplay team, the Archives team, and the Trial Members). You will also be able to partake in various events we host and talk with other Hermittpadders. You can also give us direct submissions to put in the Recap in there. It's a good way for us to connect to the community even more, so we really hope you all like it!

We will have a link to it within our Linktree, so feel free to go take a look at it.

And last of all, Secret Santa 2021 is appearing once again as the holiday season approaches! King and Azael are hosting it this year, and if you head on over to HPSecretSanta, you'll be able to read up on the event and sign up! Sign-Up closes on November 30th so sign up before it's too late! We are excited to see this event continue for the 3rd year, it's crazy how long Hermittpad has been going strong.

And now, onto our awesome authors!

Starting us off! The lovely DakotahWinters has updated her book 'Hidden Consequences', for all you angst and mystery fans we encourage you to give it a read! It often keeps us on our feet when reading, and we know it will do the same to you.

In the most recent update of A Glitch In The System, "Glitch", Grian tries to converse with Dream and help him settle in. Trauma brings that good ol' angst as well. We really enjoy the dynamic between the two characters, it makes it very fun to read! Check out Problematic_Parrot's profile if you're interested.

There were a few updates to Crazycatmeow413's Meteor Effect, with some rewrites of the best moments from the first couple of Last Life sessions. It hasn't been too long since it started, but it's nice to look back on when everything that has already happened.

PancakeTheKat updated their Hermitcraft and Dream Smp Stuff book with a peek at their MCYT Warriors AU. If you're a Warrior Cats fan, this might be interesting to you ;) (WARRIORS CATS???? SHII BRB YALL MY RECAPPING IS INTERRUPTED -King)

(I'm CRYING at this AU LILYKIT IS ARIANA GRANDE I WILL CRY. I LOVE THIS. I LOVE THIS ALL. I CAN'T GET OVER ARIANA GRANDE. You should make one Dojacat nah nah I'm joking totally totally joking. Totally. I love this Pancake keep going man -King)

Halloween has ended, but for those of you still looking for a spookier oneshot, AliDancingPearl updated their oneshots book with a late Halloween-themed fic. While messing around in Sahara, Grian accidentally lets a "ghost" loose! What will the Architects do about it?

Ethubs is a sweet ship that Last Life has made popular again, and if you're looking for some content with them, ThatOneWaterCat has you covered. Their Coffee Shop AU was recently updated with a chapter in which Etho and Bdubs meet for real and start to become friends, and perhaps more... ;)

pinnacle_eEeeE99 has been on hiatus, but temporarily they returned to update their oneshots book with some cute flower husbands. When Scott gets lost, who does he run into but the handsome prince of the Swamp Kingdom?

And back over here on the angst side of things, we have another chapter of Steel Blood by EmberDragon34! The metal Hermits are taking over, and those that are still human are forced into hiding. I'm anxious to see if they can win this! :eyes:

Anon1909's oneshot book may not have been updated for a while, but this is some amazing writing. Angst, fluff, multipart oneshots, emotional ones that make you want to cry, they've got it all, and it's definitely worth checking out if you haven't already!

enby_ofdoom's oneshots book contains phenomenal content for both Hermitcraft and Dream SMP fans! His writing ranges from angst that wrenches your soul from your body (assuming you have one) to heart-melting fluff that will leave you feeling seen, loved, and longing for something like the characters have.

We'd be surprised if you haven't heard of Redemption by NinjaKitty1928, but here's a chance to read it if you haven't already! Her writing is hugely popular and for a very good reason- let's get this earth-shattering, breathtakingly written book to a well-deserved 100k! Watchers, magic, comfort, heartbreak, love... it's everything.

Another gem we found is Mushroom Soup by WowImNotOriginal. A sweet romantic comedy and an all-time favorite! What will happen if Bdubs accidentally convinces his family he's dating Keralis?

Not only did this book set the foundations for months of ship brainrot, it's also incredibly cleverly written and so sweet you'll find yourself loving each and every character. Acewolf31's When It Comes To Love will leave you with perhaps too many emotional support characters to take home with you.

Just like 3rd Life, Last Life has been a recent obsession for many of us. And while the canon Last Life will be coming to an end (sadly), it's far from ending in the stories! Ametxhyst has just started a Last Life AU fic, called Trust, that's sure to have all the angst, distrust, and betrayals we have a love-hate relationship with </3

Another new fic here with AerospaceVoid_'s Sub-Zero // MCYT: Origins, and let me tell you, it's incredible. With a ton of interesting worldbuilding and backstory, this story delves deep into Grian's past and is sure to be a gripping read. Definitely recommend checking this author out, they're amazing and deserve the attention!

Now, related to books, vestigially has republished his S8 oneshots book for the time being. I seriously recommend checking her stuff out, they are a wonderful writer and it's great to read their content again! (I LOVE YOU SAPHHH <33333333333 -King)

We've also got a couple contests going on in celebration of milestones. Timeskip_God is holding a book cover challenge for hitting 300 followers, and you can find information for that in their book Broken Wings. Along with them, thathermitweirdo has a writing contest for hitting 650 followers, and they have a separate book for that on their profile. Give those a look if you're interested!

And now that we've seen all the lovely fics and exciting updates lets jump straight into this weeks' milestones! :eyes:

To get us started, CXena34's fic - Brothers - hit 100 votes this week! Very well deserved, and TimeSkip_God now has 300 followers, awesome! (Or godlike, as one might say? Yeah, I'll see myself out-)

Now on with a book milestone, thathermitweirdo's book, Sarcasm, was able to hit 60k reads.

And goodness we are already through the milestones.

One last thing: Some of you may know about the amazing Writing Championships, which was on hiatus for a bit, but now is out of hiatus to host another once again! Signups unfortunately closed last Thursday, so we couldn't get it in the Recap in time to tell you to sign up, but we will be reporting how it all plays out. Go check them out at WritingChampionships, and join their discord for more information!
