Heeello hello, Hermittpad! I hope you're all doing well today, and to our friends in America who celebrate, happy Fourth of July! It's been another week with lots to cover here on Hermittpad, so let's just dive right in!

Before we start, we'd like to report that another Hermit's boundaries has come to light. For months, there have been circulating rumors that Xisuma is uncomfortable with shipping. As of Saturday, we have confirmation of this in a tweet: 

As always, let's respect his boundaries as we did for other Hermits uncomfortable with shipping. If you need a refresher on our current list, it's currently up to Gem, Impulse, and now Xisuma. We'll keep you updated if this list continues to grow!

With that said, let's jump into book updates!

First up, we have WatcherXanthia with an update on 'Glitched'! This update brings a brief chapter in a mystery point of view, leaving readers on the edge of their seats! We can't wait to see what the next chapter brings!

Speaking of AUs and chapter updates,  wrote the first chapter for 'Permatwist' rewritten! We love to see the returning of the X and EX dynamic and the improvement in Seven's writing as the rewrite pushes onward!

We've also got some sweet new oneshots this week, including crystals_d with a new Grumbo oneshot! It's some angsty vibes but the classic truth or dare trope that we know and love!

thathermitweirdo also wrote a oneshot, theirs for an intriguing AU, where Iskall is a bounty hunter who is hunting down Mumbo, a vampire. As a prologue for a new book, we can't wait to see this AU grow!

Oh and while we're on the topic of oneshots, how about oneshot competitions? We've had not one, but two writers this week hosting oneshot competitions for their multi-chapter works and AUs: AnimatedImposter for their book ''Alter Ego, and NinjaKitty1928 with her book 'Redemption'! sixth_constellation (formerly with the username of sixth_bright_shiner, changed as of this week), ever on the writing grind, wrote a oneshot for each of these! Wow!

We're also celebrating several milestones and achievements this week, so let's get some congratulations all around for - insert the drumroll -....

And to wrap things up, we'd like to say a couple of goodbyes. a1uptics is going on hiatus, so a temporary goodbye to them, and lOiSwAtTs41 is quitting writing on Wattpad, so a goodbye to them as well. We hope their future endeavors go well!

Last but not least, happy belated Iskall support day! This fandom holiday of sorts was celebrated on Saturday the 3rd, and we're glad to give Iskall all the support in the world!
