So Grian is one of the current heads of the Dragon Rider Academy, the location known only to the dragon riders themselves

They've lately had an influx in riders, and have thus been shortstaffed, meaning everyone gets an apprentice

Grian's apprentice is a kid named Ren, whose dragon is barely two months old

Then False arrives to the academy. She's the first dwarf whom a dragon has actually chosen since the pact between dragons and other species allowed Dwarves and Urgals to become riders

So no one really wants her as an apprentice

Grian takes her in since Ren has only been with him a few weeks longer, so it shouldn't be too hard getting them on the same page

Ren is annoyed by this, as having Grian as his mentor was a pretty big deal to himFalse is dedicated to proving herself worthy of the honor, representing her entire race in the process

Meanwhile, False's twin brother Wels is trying to prove himself as something to be proud of as well

He feels hurt that the egg didn't hatch for him, but hatched for his sister right after him, so he feels a need to prove himself by getting a dragon for himself

So he sets out to find an egg for himself, on the way finding out about the human king's evil plot to take up the mantle Galbatorix had left behind so long ago

While learning this, Wels's best friend Iskall meets an Urgal simply named Doc while searching for Wels

Doc shares with Iskall the dwarf, and explains that he needs to find his old human friend Ren at the academy and warn him

Iskall says that if they find Wels they find the academy, because Wels can find False no matter where she is through Twin Power

The duo goes to Ellesméra on their adventure, and meet the ZIT trio

Impulse is eager to help, having seen Wels only a few days ago. When Doc tells him about the king's plans, he agrees to warn their queen as wellS

tress, the elf queen, agrees to help Doc and Iskall find Wels, since even she does not know the location of the Academy

In return, she wants any information they can find about Eragon Bromsson and Arya Drottignur, the founders of the dragon academy

Tango asks to go with, leading to an argument with Impulse about their 'responsibilities'

Meanwhile Zedaph and Jevin have snuck off to see the dragon eggs that were brought to Ellesméra in hopes that they hatch

Boom, plot. I really like this AU, and am working on some parts of this storyline. Also, I wonder who the King is? >:D
