Rendog - Dragon Rider
-His dragon is named Aernorn(air-norn), and is red with blue and black lines along his wings and back
-He's a human, and is completely knew to being a dragon rider. Aer is only about the size of his hand.
-Seems to have a knack for magic, surprising his teacher

Doc - Urgal
-Is about 5 times as strong as a normal human, and can take a load of hits before going down
-Highly intelligent for his species
-Surprisingly great with dragons, since he's not a rider
-Often is cynical around others

Grian - Dragon Rider
-Grian's an elf, so pointy features (chin, ears, etc) and has inherent magic
-His dragon, Thame (pronounced like the River Thames) is large enough to ride on, and he loves flying
-Thame is a female yellow dragon with a white and blue lightning pattern
-Grian is very talented with magic and flying due to his decades of work, and takes on the role of mentoring Ren
-His best friend is a werecat named Mumbo, whom he calls a spoon

Mumbo - Werecat
-Okay this started purely because I like Mumbo with cat ears but hear me out
-Werecats are said to be very mysterious and possibly the most powerful creatures known to Alagaesia
-Mumbo may be a spoon, but he is wickedly smart. I mean, look at Sahara and his storage system and the witch farm
-Also, he shifts between a cat and a human whenever he pleases.
-When he's a cat, he's pure white with a black moustache and a red bowtie

False - Dragon Rider
-False is a dwarf, the first of her kind to be a dragon rider
-Her twin brother Wels seems ecstatic at her hatching of her dragon
-Her dragon is dark brown with white wings, named Symmetra (male)
-She's a great fighter, but not too good at magic or flying (since her dragon is only a bit younger than Ren's and is tiny AF)

Wels - Dwarf
-Remember how I said Wels is happy? Well he's not
-He hates to admit that he's jealous of his twin sister, feeling stood up by the egg as he had been the first to touch it
-His parents are so proud of False, but this makes Wels feel less than.
-He sets out to find an egg and hatch it himself

Impulse - Elf
-Impulse is the oldest of 3 brothers, blacksmith to the Dragon Riders
-He's experimenting with imbuing more rider swords with magic, like Brisingr was with the mythical Eragon Bromsson
-He takes care of his youngest brothers, despite barely being an adult in elf standards

Tango - Elf
-The second of 3 brothers, Tango helps his brother out by taking care of their baby brother
-He's learning magic on his own, using it to keep baby Zed safe
-Also helps out in the blacksmith shop by cleaning up and getting Impulse materials when asked for

Zedaph - Elf
-The youngest of 3 brothers at the solid age of 12
-Considered a baby by elves, since they live like hundreds of years
-Wants to see the eggs when they come back to Ellesmera, but knows his brothers won't let him go alone. So he plans to sneak out with his friend Jevin to try his luck.

Jevin - Elf
-Also is only a baby in elf eyes, and wants to see the dragon eggs when they're brought around
-His parents are highly overprotective of Jevin, so he needs to sneak out with Zedaph to see the eggs

Xisuma - Shade
-Xisuma used to be human before he messed with spirits, morphing him into a Shade
-He managed to retain enough humanity to remember himself, but would fall into unconsciousness occasionally and find the spirits had taken over his body
-Grian helps him control this other half to himself (dubbed Evil Xisuma) in exchange for his help at the Dragon Academy
